I could have sworn I entered my power armour quicker once and I thought it was something to do with how I pressed enter (hold, double tap, etc) but was never able to recreate it. Now I know! Thanks!
I like the long animation as it feels super immersive and the quick animation of course being for emergency combat scenarios. If we keep wanting to make it more efficient we could always cancel the animation and have them teleport inside the suit whenever they activate it.
This, this, totally this. I like my animations, the little inconveniences add to the immersion. I want an experience, not just a system. I want to feel like I'm in the wasteland and it comes with its difficulties and little things (to a certain degree, I don't want to worry about sweat and having to take a shit either).
When us gamers mostly play games like this, as soon as we've learned how to use weapons, we go "Meh" and just keep on playing. But this Amazing UA-camr stopped to show us this awesome detail.
@@hallopez6627 this detail wasn't new. Someone already gave this info years ago. (Like Oxhorn but who cares about that guy anyway.) Besides this "awesome" detail was then turned into a mod soon after. And correction Fallout 4 is a loot and shooter RPG.
Not if you immediately started using the Animation Speed Increase mod and never looked back. I have built more mods for Fallout 4 Power Armor than anyone and I never knew this because I always have that mod running.
This is also used when you steal power arnor that doesn't belong to you (I remember this vividly as I would attempt to do this all of the time on the prydwyn so I could get that t-60 set early lol)
i feel like for the quicken exiting animation, maybe there was a plan for self destructing power armor, but never saw any developmeant to that. That would explain why you can get so many besides just a collection of armor sets. a hail mary move where you would set a timer and place the armor somewhere good and run to cover. That or someone could make a mod like that lol
Didn't they recently add these animations from Fo76 with the next gen patch or whatever? I remember people talking about them when 76 first came out saying how much of a better feature it was.
Nah sometimes you just miss stuff. I played through all the dlc and the main story, bought a pc, did it again, starting modding it, and then I learned about this lol
When I first did this I thought it was because some of the armor was unequipped, but when I tried to do it without any power armor on the chasis it didn't work, now I understand why it did that because I was in the boss fight with the the first boss that I can't remember the name of, and I tried to jump in while I was being shot at. (I died when trying to get in so that's new)
i discovered this like 400 h in the game and few weeks ago i decided to start nuka cola dlc so when i arrived the battle with that one dude with electric armor i realized it does have a quick animation
Believe it or not, but i actually noticed this before. In a game, i was in sanctuary hills, and we were being raided. I was fairly low level but i had power armor and a couple fusion cores so i said “why not”, i then was absolutely dumbfounded by the animation, love that detail
There was a random suit laying around in a hostile area. I snuck but was spotted and got in like this before unloading on everyone. So yes I've seen it before.
I remember a mr. gusty was shooting at me with a .44 in survival while i was behind this barricade, and off to the side i saw this perfect, conveniently place power armor and i was freaking out cuz i thought my character was gonna hop in there slowly but to my surprise he jumped in there pretty quickly and i was like "woah! glad they add that sense of urgency when in battle"
I knew this existed and tried to recreate it, don’t crouch run into the power armor and then suddenly press E, it barely works for me so dont rely on it
I noticed this all the time because I would always walk around with power armor that had no fusion core Which allows you to run into a lot of situations where you'll be Jumping out of Is your armor
I first noticed mine when I was clearing the out a spot for a settlement and I was just trying to figure out how it worked and I'm still on my first playthrough
Hey, so I was wondering what mod you use for the brief shake of the screen when you get hit? I would love to know cause it would really add to the immersion. Thanks.
While it is slower, if you think about it the normal animation is no where near as reckless as the quick one because you aren't even fully in the suit before it starts to close and if your body isn't settled right it might get caught in a pinch point where the armor seals itself.
A specific situation where you would never use this "meanwhile me doing a big daddy playthrough where my power armor is essentially life support and if I leave too long I begin to die. Crafting has never been so intense"
tbh I knew that this animation exists only because I use a mod that lets you summon your power armor so I just summon it when I see a Deathclaw or something
If you guys also notice when you kill an enemy and fall out and leave them there after a while, you see flies start flying around the enemies, dead body. It’s a little edit that they’ve had for a long time.
I literally just saw the animation yesterday because i was replacing a 99 fusion core with a lower one (it’s a personal thing) and i got jumped by super mutants
There is a well known mod that makes that the default animation. Saves you a ton of time.
Unfortunately it only reverse the script for the animations, meaning when you're in combat the slower animation will play
There is a different mod that works perfectly @@jarrodbyrne2325

Did people seriously not notice this???
I admit, I never noticed. Becuse I wouldn´t expect more details than necessary.
You going to be ok?
I didn’t, because theres no way I ever exit power armor in combat and I never stumbled upon an empty suit while in combat
most did, they are just farming Fallout TV show hype
I never really used power armor that much on any of my characters so no I actually didn’t notice it in the few hundred hours I have in the game lol
I could have sworn I entered my power armour quicker once and I thought it was something to do with how I pressed enter (hold, double tap, etc) but was never able to recreate it. Now I know! Thanks!
All of us are walking down memory lane eh bud....
thats exactly what i thought. like when you insert a holo tape and tap it
fun fact this also happens in the glowing sea regardless if you are in combat or not

I first discovered this in fallout 76
Much easier to discover it there too as you can just carry the powerarmor frames with you anywhere
... *Cough* you're late *cough* ...
Yep agreed
Maybe, but most people probably didn't catch this amazing detail at all.
When us gamers mostly play games like this, as soon as we've learned how to use weapons, we go "Meh" and just keep on playing. But this Amazing UA-camr stopped to show us this awesome detail.

What i find cool about this is that you character hide behind the power armor for a second
If you steal enemies' fusion core, they'll exit the power armor and you can steal it. That's how I found out about this animation.
Literally anyone who has played this game knows this

You can just grab it from the Atom Cats
oooooh so that mod is using combat animation as default animation.
Havent been too many times where Ive hopped into power armor mid combat but I have seen this a few times. Its a nice detail
15 GB update and they ***STILL*** haven't fixed the sound desync with Power Armor?
Lol.
Lmao even.
?
@@user-vn6ki6gs8w The sound of the suit closing and the animation are desyncronized. It's most noticeable if you look at the legs.

I noticed this since the beginning lol
Everyone talking about how they enter power armor, bro’s walking around the wasteland looking like Emiya
this is a default animation with combat and sprint animation.
Funny thing is I just noticed that today before your video popped up
I never even tried to get out during combat because of how long the animation was and I figured it would be the same. Crazy
The splattergun is crazy good
There is a mod that makes the combat animations for enter/exit the default which makes it alot faster to swap in and out of power armor.
Didn't they recently add these animations from Fo76 with the next gen patch or whatever?
I remember people talking about them when 76 first came out saying how much of a better feature it was.
I noticed this my first playthrough actually when a group of raiders attacked Sanctuary and I hopped in my power armor there
I wondered why i keep getting this cool animation in fo76
i noticed it during far harbor when i was getting the marine combat armor

Tbh pretty well known at this point but always good to see people sharing info new players may not know about. Keep up the good work.
*That animation is 72% of the game's budget*
No, not just in combat. I can choose which way u wanna enter 😇 I dEfenitely prefere the slower version mostly
Honestly kinda wish they gave us the option to enter the Power Armor without the animation. Or use the fast animation version.
It also happens for me when he finds a new set of power armor that I haven’t seen
my game when i try to enter power armour wile in combat "you cannot do this wile in combat
I've played the game since release, yet I only noticed this two days ago. I don't know how I missed it.
did anyone notice that hank maclean does this exact “fast” power armor entrance in the finale
I think this is only default if you’re in a fight. Had to do that during the alien event just the other day
it's the combat animation its only activated if you are in the danger status I'm pretty sure or just simply if you are getting shot at
It works outside of combat too if i remember correctly. You just need to have your weapon drawn the whole time.
Believe it or not, but i actually noticed this before. In a game, i was in sanctuary hills, and we were being raided. I was fairly low level but i had power armor and a couple fusion cores so i said “why not”, i then was absolutely dumbfounded by the animation, love that detail

yes i also figured this out while playing, and it is faster than normal one
This animation has been in Fallout 76 since the start. Only seemed fitting that it be added to Fallout 4 in this quality of life update
I noticed this all the time because I would always walk around with power armor that had no fusion core Which allows you to run into a lot of situations where you'll be Jumping out of Is your armor
I noticed this in fallout 76 because sometimes you have to get out of your armor.
I first noticed mine when I was clearing the out a spot for a settlement and I was just trying to figure out how it worked
and I'm still on my first playthrough
Theres also one for chairs!
The fact that there is no animation for force ejecting people from fully peeled armor is a crime...
Seeing this gave me an ideaof a hybrid powerarmor non powerarmor build using the sentinel control system creation club mod
Bro downloaded five million mods and still didn’t know this
Hey, so I was wondering what mod you use for the brief shake of the screen when you get hit? I would love to know cause it would really add to the immersion. Thanks.
People don't remember but this was actually a mod first, even in combat getting in was slow in the base game
Yo the drip is insane well done 👏
who hasnt noticed?
yeah I always noticed this due to me using my power armor as a makeshift wall when i run low on durability
I can’t remember if you’re able to do this if you sprint up to the armor, but I have seen the animation a lot.
While it is slower, if you think about it the normal animation is no where near as reckless as the quick one because you aren't even fully in the suit before it starts to close and if your body isn't settled right it might get caught in a pinch point where the armor seals itself.
I forgot that this happened. As you say, it’s so rare to be doing this in combat
9 years? i mean.
okay! ssure!
Actually I did know about that. And there’s a mod to always make it that speed
A specific situation where you would never use this "meanwhile me doing a big daddy playthrough where my power armor is essentially life support and if I leave too long I begin to die. Crafting has never been so intense"
its also even slower when you're over your carrying capacity
I discovered that in my first playthrough back in 2019
I remember noticing this when Sanctuary was being raided once
This has been a thing in Fallout 76 for some time now. Lots of “new” things in Fallout 4 are from 76
tbh I knew that this animation exists only because I use a mod that lets you summon your power armor so I just summon it when I see a Deathclaw or something
i've been playing this game since launch and never saw this animation lol
I found this out very soon after playing when it came out
Pretty sure a lot of people noticed this years ago. The very first mods in Nexus was to change the slow animation to the fast one.
I've done this a ton, used to play alot of fallout 4.
Looking like Far Cry New Dawn with all the foliage and colors.
We knew that but it was nice seeing new players figuring this stuff out
I think it happens if you spam the enter button when when not in combat too.
I wish we could do this in fallout 76 😭
If you guys also notice when you kill an enemy and fall out and leave them there after a while, you see flies start flying around the enemies, dead body. It’s a little edit that they’ve had for a long time.
Us veterans knew that young buck
Its details like this that let you know that people working on this game really did care in spite of Bethesda doing their best to f**k it all up
I'm more shocked about how Fallout 4 is already 9 year's old than anything.
I thought you just had to hold the interact button and it would do this
Wish you could always make it like that

You can actually so this outside of combat, just run towards it and spam the enter button.
i seen it many times, tho i didnt know it was combat that triggerd it.
pretty sure this is something everyone already knows
i use the quick entry/exit mod for power armor on fallout 4 and 76
Its common for me since i always run into raiders
It’s not a specific situation, it’s literally in combat. Combat happens all the time
I would be embarrassed it took you this long to notice something so obvious.
I only realized this in fallout 76
I never noticed this cuz i always enter battle with power armor not when i already in it
95% players probably know this.
You can walk backwards to exit faster and Sprint forwards to enter faster.
As an expert in Fallout 4 Power Armor, I never noticed this.😆
