Ben comes from Satine as that’s what she used to call him. The whole point of Anakin wanting to become a Jedi Master is that he wants access to books in the archives that could help him keep Padme alive. They should have kept that in the film. A lot of the Revenge of the Sith book should have been kept in the film as it just makes that film stronger.
Unfortunately, a lot of that stuff is Legends now and what he's saying here is the current canon. It sucks, tho. A lot of good stuff was changed. I will personally forever be hurt by the fact we're not getting Mara Jade because of this lol
@@ResidentRemixer this is cannon from Brotherhood the new book with Obi and Anakin during the Clone Wars. There’s no where in Legends that mentions Dutchess Satine.

@@ResidentRemixer they changed it back. If you love Clone Wars you’ll definitely love Brotherhood. I really like it. Plus the writer is doing a good job with Anakin and Padme’s relationship.
I thought the clone wars episode of showing Anakin being put into the suit was so much better than the movie. Showed it was a horrific process and really showed the pain and anger Anakin was feeling!
I do wish you had included some of the Obi-Wan Qui-Gonn relationship established in the Novel Master and Apprentice, its good stuff, and explains why Qui-Gonn is the way he is and why Obi-Wan would be so set on following his wish to train Anakin.
Another important quote from the Obi Wan undercover arc is Anakin saying “You lied to me! How many other lies have I been told by the council?!” Which further drives the division between him and the Jedi…
10:27, no they wouldn’t have sensed that . She died of a broken heart, which is something that actually happens to people, add to that she was force choked intensely, the trauma of which caused her to go into premature child delivery . She was in critical condition from the force choke and had to give birth, on top of that having to deal with severe emotional trauma . That’s a lot and I’m surprised people can’t understand how she died, it takes a lot of energy to give birth doesn’t it? Let alone to twins? Even harder to do while in critical condition, yeah someone might die in childbirth that way … Anyways no, the Jedi wouldn’t sense that she lost the will to live only that she was in critical condition and her life force was low, which they already knew anyways considering the circumstances, an attempted dig at the writing of the film when there’s nothing to dig at really.
When Vader releases Padme from the Force Choke, his fingers kind of flicker out. I always saw that as him almost pushing her life out of her as he lets her go
That its an unemotional med droid that does the assessment of emotional collapse of Padme and her life-force, not the incredibly sensitive Jedi stood a few metres away from the operating theatre, is the point here
You missed the best line from Clone Wars. “Maul must really want you dead.” “You have no idea” Look it up folks, it’s an awesome scene. Probably the second best scene in the series. Also, the Senate want corrupted by the Trade Federation. The Trade Federation was a pawn of Darth Plegius and played their small role in getting Plegius’ plan to get a Sith as the single ruler of the galaxy.
I just read the Star Wars comics (including the Obi-Wan journal issues) and have one small correction: Jabba hired Krrsantan to chase down the mysterious figure who took out some of his "saltiest" troops that were out collecting water tax. When some of Jabba's soldiers are out showing him where it happened, Krrsantan heads straight to the Lars' homestead nearby. So he's after Obi-Wan, but doesn't know it.
Anakin and Obi-Wan both went after Dooku twice, the first time they needed to be saved by Yoda and the second time Obi-Wan nearly died and Anakin was pushed further to the Dark Side. Only Yoda could have dueled Palpatine, and bringing anyone along would have been a liability
So much could've been avoided if only Obi-Wan would've just given Anikin a lil' nudge with his foot (or the Force) the rest of the way into the Liquid-Hot Magma... just a little tap & put lil' Ani outa his misery. Galaxy Saved
Seems more creepy that Padme started dating a kid just fresh out of puberty. Obi Wan started rebellious but quickly became strict and disciplined as a young person. He even argued with Quigon's study of the living force. He settles into it later.
She doesn't though. Padme is resistant to the creepy Anakin when he's fifteen and besotted with her. Its a couple years later she starts responding, when he's 18 and her 23. Later when they were married, Anakin was 20 and Padme 25. There isn't too much weirdness here, hormones affect everyone :P
Darth Maul was such an underutilized character in the movies. He was a crowd favorite too and would have made them big bucks with his badassery. Then again, maybe they would have butchered that too, so I should be grateful
Palpatine doesn’t kick Yoda’s ass. But he ESCAPES from Yoda, which is a strategic victory. Yoda’s task was an all-or-nothing decapitation strike on the nascent Empire, and it ended in failure.
9:59 This would have been an excellent time for the clip of Leia's "What!?", though I know you almost exclusively use that for a rejoinder to "blah blah blah, all along".
Hey Ryan, a still need to know who killed the Lars family? As you remember Vader had sent out a few bounty hunters to find said child named Skywalker and he told Bobba Fett no disintegration. And so, was it Bobba Fett or some other person that maybe Jabba hired to finish the job of taking care of the Lars Family?

Darth Maul fans are unaware of his whole past, especially what happened prior to his reappearance in Rebels. Maul is a pretty complex character with little known about him other then his hatred for Kenobi. He was extremely important to the Star Wars story and continued to make an impact even after losing his Sith status. Yet he showed up in Rogue One was this before or after he killed the leader of death watch?
