the thing is, Qui Gon understood Anakin's affection towards Padme as he once held love for a fellow Jedi. maybe if he had lived, he could have trained Anakin to be a more balanced and capable Jedi and likely would have stopped Anakin from falling to the dark side. this also could have led to a potential crisis within the council as some would have gone against what Qui Gon stood for

Qui Gon is my favorite Jedi, aside from Mace. He was the only one who knew to let the Force flow through you as opposed to controlling it like the other Force users do
This is a very good theory. The only major flaw is that Count Dooku turned to the dark side because of Qui Gon’s death; because the Jedi council refused to help with the Naboo conflict, causing for Dooku’s apprentice to be killed in an incredibly unnecessary fashion.
In the canon it's implied he fell long before that. But he joined the sith after hearing the news of Qui Gons death. In master an apprentice dooku used force lightning and QuiGon had to stop him from killing a bounty hunter.

Darth Sidious was afraid of Qui-Gon because of his strong connection with the force, that's why Sidious wanted to kill him quickly. If Maul couldn't kill him, Sidious would continue to try. Also, through his strong connection to the force, Qui-Gon probably could sense order 66 before it happened and warn the other Jedi, that's why Sidious was afraid of him, but in this timeline Qui-Gon would let order 66 happen? I don’t see dooku becoming a sith, he left the Jedi once qui gon died, he left and joined the sith to take revenge for qui gon, that was his real reason for leaving, but since he didn’t die dooku probably never would’ve left, it was even said in the novels and comics that he left because of that reason, that his death was the final straw, without that he’d still would’ve stayed. I don’t think dooku would’ve left, sure the Jedi refused to help his home world but he looked past that little betrayal, he even said he did, sure he was pissed but that wasn’t the reason he left, qui gons death was, because dooku told the Jedi that the sith would return me that’s the reason he became the best duelist in the order to counter the ancient enemy, and dooku was the best duelist, yoda said dooku was the best he’s seen, and after him and dooku dueled in AOTC, sidious feared dooku because he stood toe to toe with yoda in an open area where yoda had the biggest advantage and held him down, sidious tried to run to the hall way cause he knew if yoda had open space he’d beat him cause yodas form is at its best in open areas but dooku didn’t run he held yoda off and fought him to a stalemate or even won, stalemate is more like it, he didn’t stay to fight yoda cause he sensed clones and reinforcements closing in and if he stayed he’d be out numbered. The problem is that Dooku might be hesitant to kill Qui-Gon, like he was in this story. But as Sidious is willing to get his hands dirty (like against Maul and Savage), I can see him killing Qui-Gon himself.
Dooku would never have assassinated Qui-Gon, as the entire reason he became a Sith to begin with was that the Council's Negligence regarding the Naboo Crisis caused the death of his Padawan
Grievous was a thing that early , he was at the battle of geinosis but was told to stay back and watch the jedie fight and to studie them more befor being revealed
Dooku would never be able to kill qui gon. He LOVED quigon like a son. He also never truly fell to the dark side and the death of Quigon was a major reason he distanced himself from the Jedi and fell into palpatines arms. Likely Sidious would need another apprentice.

2:09 You were actually correct when you said Jedi Knight because although Kenobi became Skywaker's Jedi Master, he didn't attain the rank until after Attack of the Clones.
Qui Gon would have let Anakin go rescue his mother when he started having the dreams months ago. Also Doku would not have gone to the sith if Qui Gon didn’t die
If Mace learned Qui Gon knew this was gonna happen and _let_ it, he might become angry enough to try to murder the guy. Couldn't really blame him in that case. If he was willing to sacrifice that many people to prove a point, then he would've been just as bad as the Sith.

Okay. This was pretty good stuff. It also is cool how you (way better than I could've) told the story I always thought would've happened had Qui-Gon won.
This isn't exactly what would of happend, Dooku would of not joined palpatine and anakin would not be accepted into the jedi temple, This is cause anakin was aloud in cause of qui gons death wish, and if he never died he would of never joined the jedi, also dooku joined palpatine cause he saw his padawan die on naboo (qui gon).
I really like this one and I wish it was longer maybe you got other ones like this I don't know this one was very good keep up the good work I like the story I wish it was longer all and all it wus very good and keep up the good work
If you look at their brief fight on Tattooine, Qui-Gon is much like The Undertaker--an unusually agile, quick, and coordinated big man. Using Ataru, which makes him unusual as it's best for smaller fighters like Yoda. Thus, in both fights, we see him thoroughly hold his own against Maul and even force him back at times. However, Maul used a bit of tactical genius in isolating him from Obi-Wan and forcing him into a confined space. The way Qui-Gon would have won would have been to actually retreat back when the laser doors began opening to both link back up with Obi-Wan and have a bit more time to regain his wind.
This seems good but there were many things that were glossed over - Sidious turning of Anakin was his crown Jewel and would do it again, the reliability of the "grey" jedi listening and interpreting the will of the force, Sidious' being a Sith and attack on him, the fall of the Jedi and convincing Yoda would be difficult. Sidious orchestrated the interactive events of him with Anakin, and would continue to do that. The seat at the council, yet Sidious knowing they won't give him the rank of Master. The frustration of consistently being belittled. The conversation between them being more than profession. I believe that Sidious would not let Anakin go due to Qui Gon. There would be other nexus events Sidious will create. Sidenote: Qui Gon was another member that Sidious had to watch over due to his influence and abilities to hinders the Grand Plan. Hence why Maul, despite a thousand years of sith silence, was send to eliminate Qui Gon. If Sidious didn't kill him the first time, he would orchestrate another attempt when Qui Gon's guard is down. The development of the "Grey jedi" and their "will of the force" is something that is hard to believe. I would wonder why would Dooku be so easily agree with them. During the war, the Jedi, were also against the war, it was due to Sidious that they eventually became a part of it. This is something that Sidious would consider Qui Gon and especially Anakin, for the grooming him and him being the "chosen one" which is a variable in the Sith's Grand Plan. When order 66 has been issued in this verse , the Jedi were eliminated for something similar to an assassination or for something like due a cover up about the Jedi abusing their power, ala Pong Krell. This would means while it is "frowned" upon, the Supreme Chancellor would have his justification to enact Order 66 one way or another. Either way, Qui gon and company doesn't have a good reason, only an ideological faction reason, to kill Sidious since there is no laws for an official to be a Sith AND this "murder" was done out of the Republic information. This still would have made the Jedi, Grey or not, to be the enemy. Especially when you think that Dooku is the leader of the Separistic, so why would the Republic believe him. This "hero" story arc of Qui Gon is great but missed why the Sith were absolute powerhouses. The Sith had control over the very institution that the Jedi swore to protect. The Jedi were not above the Republic, that's why Mace Windu had to kill Sidious in the Prequel. They needed to face the Bureaucracy that the Sith controlled. They had to arrest the Supreme Chancellor during a wartime period, with emergency power, and convince a vote of no confidence with evidence from the enemy leader of the Separatist. No matter how you slice this, the taxation issues with the Separatist is there and in the open. The Supreme Chancellor is dead from an attack from the enemy leader. Everything about this opens up more loose ends and threads. Again, the Sith evolve beyond right or wrong. After all of that, remember that it was only after fighting with Sidious Yoda realise that the Sith have evolved and the Jedi were preparing for the last war. In this belief, he didn't believe that the Sith was any different from before. He just knew that Qui Gon did what he did. Again, the motivations of war in the same place after Sidious' death. Would Yoda be willing to put down his hundred(s) year reign of Grand Master to be relevant from the High Republic to turn over a new leaf, or would he continue to think that the Republic is still in danger and obey the Senate's wishes? This is still difficult to determine. Sidious said it best, "You were nothing more than a pawn in a game played by a genuine master." The Jedi was destined to lose, they had no one except Dooku who could have prevented this. The Prequels is a political masterpiece. And this writing is an ode to the series, despite its flaws, to share how impactful this "What If" is and what the Jedi would need to overcome with just one change.
If qui-gon defeated Darth maul Palpatine wouldn't show himself he was afraid of qui-gon Palpatine will have to find another way to get to anakin it would take a long time though. But when Luke and laiah is born Palpatine will try and manipulate both or one of the siblings to join.
It's a common misconception that the light side and dark side together make the force balanced. The jedi live in harmony and don't manipulate the force, therefore they do not affect the balance. The darkside is a corruption of the force, and therefore unbalances it.
You are correct on must of the story you told, but I believe Obi-Wan would of taken Qui-gon place and Darth Mual would of killed Obi-Wan. Instead of Obi-Wan getting kicked and separated him from Qui-gon and gave Mual the chance to kill Qui-gon, but this would of been Obi-Wan instead. Now I also believe the force would of shifted and Yoda would of sense this as well as Palpatine. Yoda would of allowed Qui-gon to train Anakin since it would of been the right choice, but will fear for Qui-gon instead because the Sith would hunt him down to prevent him to train the boy since Palpatine would know that the boy will be the chosen one and needs to corrupt him to the darkside before hand. Count Dooku I believe would of died by Darth Sidious hand once he realized he betrayed him and Darth Sidious would of failed to turned Anakin to the darkside no matter what because of Qui-gon. I do believe that Qui-gon, Ahsoka, and Anakin would of been Grey Jedi and would be creating the new order after the fall of Darth Sidious.
Qui gon played 4d chess while everyone was fucking around in flatland 2d trying ro figure out the controls. After only 1 movie of him that's all the fans needed to understand just how mentally capable qui gon actually was and understand why he had to die in the first movie. If not he'd fucking end the whole empire before it even started.
The reason Count Dooku gave into the dark side was because the jedis became arrogant, AND Qui Gon died and the jedi did nothing about it. But in this universe, Qui Gon never died. So why?
The real question. Why did all those troops have to "go around" Darth Maul leaving Qui Gon and Obi Wan to fight him? Why didn't all those troops just shoot him? Dead Maul. Unless Maul could dodge all those blasters?
Also next time make what if bo katan joined Darth Maul after vizla died what if Anakin Skywalker killed Count Dooku in the Clone Wars on naboo if you know what I mean also add it with the others I've told you

One thing sticks out in all of these. Dooku only fell to the dark side because of Qui Gon's death. Has he survived I don't think Dooku would have fallen.
Why did that send him to the dark side?
@@Lead1121 he was Qui Gon's teacher, so they were obviously very close, and when Qui Gon died it would be alot like his son dying.
1:52 the Jedi don't "live in the future", they live in the past!
3:57 see, you said it right there 🤣
Qui-Gonn (casually letting 90% of the Jedi die to prove a point): We saved the galaxy!
2:09 You were actually correct when you said Jedi Knight because although Kenobi became Skywaker's Jedi Master, he didn't attain the rank until after Attack of the Clones.
Not true, in phantom menace the scene with Yoda and obi wan yoda directly says:
"Confer on you the level of Jedi knight the council does"
As always you make fantastic fanfictions 🙌🙂!
Qui Gon would have let Anakin go rescue his mother when he started having the dreams months ago.
Also Doku would not have gone to the sith if Qui Gon didn’t die
I could see Qui-gon showing up to a massacred temple telling Mace that it had to happen. Mace would have a few choice words for that
If Mace learned Qui Gon knew this was gonna happen and _let_ it, he might become angry enough to try to murder the guy. Couldn't really blame him in that case. If he was willing to sacrifice that many people to prove a point, then he would've been just as bad as the Sith.
@@jsb6975.ah.crapbasketsMaybe not so much willing to sacrifice people, but just the council not listening to Qui. I doubt post-massacre would be the first time Qui-Gon mentions that tragedy’s coming
We need this as a live action "What If..." series
Dooku wouldn’t have fallen to the dark side in this ark of the story. It was Qui-Gon’s death that drove him to the dark side.
I feel like Star Wars should get a Disney+ what if show. It would be extremely interesting and it would drag a lot of people in. If it worked for marvel it can work for Star Wars.
This theory has so many holes.
Quigon, Duku, Ashoka and Anakin are not enough to beat Palps. None of them know vapad like Windu or have enough force power like Yoda.
this is one of the coolest what ifs I've seen from you, great work!
Thanks!
dooku's fall to the dark side was largely because of qui gon's death, and so I don't think the same events would happen in the clone wars
An amazing what if although I disagree that Dooku would be agreeing to having Qui Gon killed since in the original timeline it was Qui Gon's death that caused Dooku to fall to the dark side
I hate it that Qui gon died😢
And Jarjar could be the Phantom Menace as planed
I really like this one and I wish it was longer maybe you got other ones like this I don't know this one was very good keep up the good work I like the story I wish it was longer all and all it wus very good and keep up the good work
Great alternative story, you really got me here!
Amazing content
dooku wouldn't have become papitiens apprentice if qui gon was alive
sidious may have taken ventress as an apprentice
Very interesting! I like this take on what if Qui-Gon survived!
What if Jar Jar Binks wasnt rude with his tongue while eating on Tatooine?
If qui-gon defeated Darth maul Palpatine wouldn't show himself he was afraid of qui-gon Palpatine will have to find another way to get to anakin it would take a long time though. But when Luke and laiah is born Palpatine will try and manipulate both or one of the siblings to join.
"Qui Gon is the father figure that anakin never had"
I think Plo Koon and Kit Fisto would survive Order 66
So would mace windu.
your storytelling is quite awesome
Appreciate it Thomas
i really want this scenario as a show so bad
disney would make a fuck ton of money from it too
Great fan theory!
Killing Maul changes So much! He plays such a huge roll without really being in the spotlight too much. He’s very opportunistic
It's a common misconception that the light side and dark side together make the force balanced. The jedi live in harmony and don't manipulate the force, therefore they do not affect the balance. The darkside is a corruption of the force, and therefore unbalances it.
If Qui-Gon survived then Dooku would never have left the Jedi Order.
Disney needs to hire you and let you make a what if series
Id be keen!
Dooku never would've became a sith if gin neve died
Hello there Fantasy Folklore!
I have an idea for a future video:
What if Mace Windu killed Count Dooku on Geonosis
Qui gon played 4d chess while everyone was fucking around in flatland 2d trying ro figure out the controls. After only 1 movie of him that's all the fans needed to understand just how mentally capable qui gon actually was and understand why he had to die in the first movie. If not he'd fucking end the whole empire before it even started.
I wish this is how the story went for real
Man wish Star Wars had a What if Series where the alternate ending of a given event like the dual of fates would play out as a whole series.
I doubt that dooku would have left the Jedi order because Qui-Gon still being alive would have no reason to join the sith.
Hi I love your video’s
nah bro if tuscan raiders killed my mom they’re dying no matter what training i was given as a kid
The reason Count Dooku gave into the dark side was because the jedis became arrogant, AND Qui Gon died and the jedi did nothing about it. But in this universe, Qui Gon never died. So why?
This is old news guy. This is merely a review of what I already learned from Star Wars Theory. The chosen one of the Fandom.
Qui Gon would have bought Shmi's freedom and become a hero in Tusken Raider folklore
He only became one when quibgof died
They need to make this into a video game Star Wars- What If
A lot of what ifs in this video
"There is no way maul survives this one"
Nicely done story
Star Wars gotta do a what if with smth like this in it
The real question. Why did all those troops have to "go around" Darth Maul leaving Qui Gon and Obi Wan to fight him? Why didn't all those troops just shoot him? Dead Maul. Unless Maul could dodge all those blasters?
What if qui gon jin was Anakin from the future traveling back in time trying to train him
Also next time make what if bo katan joined Darth Maul after vizla died what if Anakin Skywalker killed Count Dooku in the Clone Wars on naboo if you know what I mean also add it with the others I've told you
I've written "What If Padme was Supreme Chancellor" and will be out in a few weeks
also next time make what if sifo dyas never died or what if quigon freed both anakin and shimi skywalker
@@gerardocovarrubias3058 Ok. I have made What If Qui Gon Freed both Anakin and Shmi ua-cam.com/video/VwxJQNzUZNc/v-deo.html
His fate still would of been the same lol
I think an interesting what if would be if maul takes anakin from tatooine and trains him
We need a starwars what if series
