My friend and I played recently, he’s new to the game and so he died constantly, but he’s also very smart and curious and figured out multiple ways to help as a ghost within the first five minutes of dying, using his abilities we farmed guardian pigs by having him turn some of them into werepigs to fight the guardians, making sure the guardians always won so the loot wasn’t eaten, then scaring the guardians as I ran in to get loot so I wasn’t attacked, and relighting guardian torches and summoning new guardians as a ghost, since I can eat monster meat he could also turn meet into monster meat for fun.

Bloody Splinter for a long time I didn’t have any friends that played this, honestly i bought the game for my friend as a gift since he liked survival games. It gets better, you’ll find friends that like the games you do too, even if it takes a while.

Good guide, but if you making fake attack (cancel attack before damage is dealt) - pigs will not aggro on you, and you can pick up loot after every kill. Yep, it's 50% less efficient in terms of pig skin, but you can do it every 4 days.
That only works in DS not DST.

I always start pig wars if possible before a full moon. I don’t want my piggies gone when they’re supposed to be were pigs

Another way to farm recourses is to have one of your friends in DST die, keep haunting a guard pig until it’s a werepig and keep this process going until there is only 1 guardian pig left (because they don’t eat the resources) and then one of your friends resurrects you and then you kill the last guardian pig BOOM instant farm. What’s better is that every time a pig torch goes out when it’s haunted it spawns a guardian pig.

With Wendy you can use Abigail during dusk or night (far better) to slaughter all the pigs if full moon is still far away
I always put my pig farm next to self made bee hives so in spring the bees will slaughter the pigs

Beard, I've been watching your guides like a pastor reads his Bible. I don't know if you have a video for this but what about a guide on scarce and even non renewable resources and how to preserve what you can. Including mob respawning, which ones don't respawn and which could accidentally (or purposefully for splumonkies) be erased from the map. How can each enemy be ensured to spawn again? like clockworks for example

If you want a *single* werepig, you could just feed a pig 3 monster meat. If you want a *hoard* of werepigs, lure a village of pigs out with a fenced in piece of food (or something else that pigs will eat) and wait until the full moon.

I build my farms near a glommer statue so that I can get meat and a new glommer if I can manage both at the same time
Iron Scorpion kill glommer before the full moon for a chance at a krampus sack. Get a new one at night.

U can feed one by one with 4 monster meat and they turn into wolfpig so u don't have to wait for full moon, plus u don't get the agro from normal pigs

It would be harder if you aren't playing Wigfrid or Wolfgang, no? Especially with Wes, Wendy and Maxwell, you would have to kite more. Any suggestions for that? I'm not that great at kiting lmao

i just made a farm in the middle of a beefalo herd, the beffalo kills the pig for me whenever they're in heat, sure i don't get too many butts but i don't do any work

Don't pigs respawn after 4 days? So wouldn't waiting for a full moon be wasting time? Just make sure you don't kill them within 4 days of the full moon.
Normal pigs don't drop loot all the time, werepigs do!
@@TheBeard777 true, but full moons are more than 4 days apart. If you kill the pigs and leave enough time to respawn, you at least get some loot and you don't miss out on the full moon

Certainly can! I personally don't like it as you don't get guaranteed loot and the pigs can eat what does drop before you even get to it yourself most of the time, but do what works for you!

I have a small farm built but when there was a full moon they looked like normal pigs. Does it only happen at a specific point of the full moon night and u have to sit and wait?

Just tried this out for the first time... the werepigs attacked and destroyed the stone walls and ate the pig skin, then they all came after me. :|

Light the pig huts on fire deliberately to force spawn more pigs (ice flingomatic necessary, obvs). Unless Klei changed this mechanic, you can use it as many times as you like so long as your flingomatic is on and can keep up with the fires. No more 4 day waiting period. Ever again. You're welcome. :)
I think that's only in dont starve fire and flingos are a bit op you can even use fire to instantly grow crops in ds but in dst fire will burn the farm itself

How many pig houses there need to be in your opinion to farm be efficient? I'm asking cause it will be my very first pig farm and my very first solo world where i done that much. And btw thanks for making these videos, they help a lot to - Don't Starve.

Cancel the attack just before you attack the pig when starting a war. This way, your pig will attack but since you didn't deal dmg, you won't get attacked by the other pigs and you can safely loot all the meats and skins.

Nope, it ain't really.
Normal pigs do not drop guaranteed loot, if anything at all sometimes, and can end up eating some of the loot that drops if you aren't paying attention.
Is it viable? Certainly!

No, you can't do it with them.

The Beard 777 Hmmm... how much of it can be set up as wortox? Maybe I could get a framework and have a friend put in the houses? Then I can haunt them into werepigs. Once they’re werepigs, does it work? Or do I need a friend to do that too?

shame if you play as woodie it's harder to do this because of the Wear-Beaver form.
As long as the Were-pigs have food to chase you can stun lock them, just don't back away because for some reason that causes them to swing at you.

I tried this and I noticed a very slight change. The moment I start to attack the werepig I targeted, it immediately attacks me when I'm near enough before I can land a hit. When I cancel my attack by running back, it turns away from me. Unlike in the video where it takes a few hits before they attack you.
I guess they updated it since...maybe.
@Avery Watts the moment my character gets near enough even before he/she does an attack animation, the werepig I targeted immediately turns around to attack me. It's like it knows I'm about to hit it or something.
I tried just running around near them, even bumping into them and they ignore me.
It's just one hit to tank at best anyway, at least I think it is. I'll try again next time to confirm it though.
And yeah, at least it's just one werepig. I always tend to ignore how strong their attacks are sometimes and I end up paying the price. 😁
There is another way to farm the pigs in the full moon... U need the Dev Max cementary set piece

If you "want to waste time" build the alternative pig farm so you don't have to wait until every full moon to use it.

No, civil wars between similar mobs can only occur if some of those mobs are loyal to you and the others aren't - so just hitting them will do nothing unless you have followers.

Can’t you feed the pigs monster meat one by one and kill the werepigs since pigs won’t aggro on you from harming a were pig? This takes a lot of monster meat but at least you don’t have to wait for a full moon

Are they still good to defend yourself versus other mobs like frogs, hounds and giants? Or they will just continue aiming for the bait? Maybe it will work if you just take the bait?

They are not mods, as far as I know.
You get them as packs/DLCs from the steam store. :)
Unfortunately, I don't know the names of the packs he's using. You could just browse through the steam store and find what you want.

Youre right, I think they should have that feature for individual play too but they dont🤔😕 There actually is a mod to recreate them in the dont starve individual game, it's called 'skins' and it's on the workshop, took me forever to find it, I'll link it at some point if anyone else wants it, love them!!! I don’t really understand what the point of using the Ice-Flingomatic was for. How did it have any impact on farming for any cycle?
In case you want to use this farm in Summer friend, the flingo is there to prevent wildfires.
Is that a mod that allows you to have large stacks of the same item?

Nah, this still works 100% - the people who keep telling me it doesn't must be doing something wrong as I just had a recent video (only a couple weeks ago) that went back to pig farming and everything was fine.

This didn’t work so great for me, I tried and they would continue to attack me, they wouldn’t stay focused on the pig skin
I advise you to put 40 light bulb on floor near him between you and werpig then attack him and run away. Now he will agro to you but he will follow closest food sources light bulb and starts to eat now hit him two time and run slight away. This way he will not attack you. Keep last werpig on low health and let him finish eating then Finnish him off. Now you have 40 manuver . If you agro him near pig skin trap he remains agro but focus on skin so when you go near him he will attack you instantly as you are closer then the pig skin. Remember to pick skin and meat before attacking other.

This placement mod, is it regular Geo placement? I notice that it shows you the tile as well while placing the structure. I've been trying to find this option in my own placement mod but can't. Hope someone knows how.

when i kill the werepigs will the normal pigs respawn in huts or do i have to make more?
Pigs respawn in 4 days and will be normal.
