I just bought my first trench coat this past weekend and it's double breasted. I wish i had seen this video before I bought it. But I loved it when I saw it and it fit great and i had been looking for one for ever. Maybe the next time I will look for a single breasted one but a shorter one just to change things up.
I just bought too and its burberry trench coat. I cant return it because its pre owned & i paid almost 600$usd in pristine condition😢 now i look like a box 😂 im thinking send it to the tailor for resizing the shoulder part.
Wow I just received my Samantha Trench and was figuring out how to style it! I did everything you suggested but hadn't thought of rolling up the sleeves. I like it! New to your channel and now a big fan!
Thank you for these great tips! I am going to incorporate them into my dressing. Just so you know for future videos the correct term is "single breasted" when referring to coats and jackets.
I was just thinking of buying a trench coat and just thought of checking your channel before. Good i did it because I was almost tempted to buy a double breasted trench!
@Michelle-qg1qf oh no! Hopefully u can sell it and buy a new one. I have so many things in my closet that I bought and never wore, starting to sell or give away slowly
Hello, Randy! Yes 5'4 is petite. No worries about finding clothes that suits your height, my clothing line is dedicated for women under 5'4, I suggest you take a look ✨ www.petitedressing.com/
Chi, I get the idea of leaving my trench coat open for a leaner look, but I’m actually wearing it to work in the mornings which are very chilly (gets very warm in the afternoon due our fall) to keep warm. Keeping it open defeats the purpose. If I belt it tightly, would it do a similar job?
Love a trench coat but being 5’3 have always being afraid whether they can look too bulky, neck, top details, belt, fullness and length. Also feel the same with motorcycle jackets and all those pins is too much and I think especially motorcycle jackets are too manly looking somehow but trench coats are fancy wardrobe. Hoping to find one that fits well. Another life challenge. 😂
Hi love your videos! In calculating the 1/3 2/3 rule do you include you overall height? Or do you calculate to your shoulders? Thank you for producing these videos!
Chi just loves her trench coat That she can wear in the Spring Going to put it in after showering In the morning and wear it like dress Wuth some pumps on her lovely feet Best of all she wears nothing beneath it And that she enjoys most through her day
I'd say single breasted trench coats suit any shape women better - especially if you want to wear it open - the double breasted styles flap over themselves and don't allow any body to be seen, unless you do a major cinch with the belt at back. Also, for smaller women, the buttons going up to neck/collar work better too - unlike those wide collars that leave you with a v-neck opening, hence making you look shorter. The coat yr wearing elongates you as it goes nicely in a vertical line all the way up!
I am pettite whose always wear modest clothes and its difficult because i want to look the best without showing a lot of skin. If u know what i mean. Thank you for your information, those are very usefull. Well, for the next video, can u share about fall/ winter shoes (boots)? Petite and fat like me doesnt loom good on it, it makes the legs looks like fat potatoes :(
Hi Shonia- I understand what you mean- you can focus on making sure everything you wear really fits you, and that'll make you look good without showing skin. Yes, videos for shoes and boots for petite women are coming up-stay tuned!
I gave a like but this doesn't help those like me who DO feel cold entering their bodies, maybe good for menopause women that get those hot flashes or women that don't have to walk in cold freezing temperatures. I want my chest and arms covered in Fall and Winter. Massachusetts Fall is super cold! So those trench coats are not helpful at all for normal women who do feel the cold.
HI Tanairi- thank you for the feedback- I hear you, Massachusetts have cold winters! You can try wearing the coat buttoned up but leaving the top one (collar) open to create a little space around the neck.
Dear Chi, you really should say “double-brested”, not “not double-chested”. The way you say it is pretty cute, but I think other non-native English speakers might find the standard expression easier to understand, or at least look up. Sorry, your English is generally very good, just this one tiny boo-boo.
The tip about tieing the coat on the back is genius! It looks amazing!

Hi love your videos! In calculating the 1/3 2/3 rule do you include you overall height? Or do you calculate to your shoulders? Thank you for producing these videos!
Just whatever is covered with clothes. From neck down.
Hi. What size trench coat are you wearing? I’m trying to buy one but I’m unsure of the size!
Hello, Yaima! I'm 5'2", 110Lbs, 34B, 34-28-38 measurements, wearing size S ❤️

I had never use a trenchcoat, but thinking about buying one, for which season are designed??
Hi Gina- trenches are most popular in spring and fall, but they are really a classic that never goes out of style any season.
great info
Thank you!
Thanks. How tall are you?
Hello, Vanda! My height is 5'2 ❤️
@@PetiteDressing mine too. I will see your videos. Thanks.
I bought the trench coat yesterday but am worried how it will look
where is your trench coat from? i don't see links to your outfits in all your descriptions anymore
You can check us out at www.petitedressing.com ❣️
I've got double-breasted coat because I can leave it open, the extra flap casually covers my belly, but everything else looks fitted and structured.
How do you keep sleeves rolled up?
I’ve actually seen people use elastic bands.
Hair elastics
I really like your channel! And I'm new What is your hight?

I also wear modest clothes and usually when I'm rolling up my sleeves I wear tight undergarment so my arms still got covered.

"Wear trench coat with open front..." no matter the weather, right ?

Wear it in the spring and fall only if winters are too cold.
takeaway: tighten trench coat in back
Went too fast could t read that fast & look too
