I learned a few days ago that the bicentennial quarter should be called the Colonial drummer since many of the drummers were girls, the part of the drummer was important many lives were saved because of them.
Hey there Blue Ridge, good day to you! GREAT video!!! I imagine that this video is a real eye opener to some. I had the good fortune (if you want to call it that) of buying a roll of Bicentennial Eisenhower Denver mint type I dollars. The roll grades, on average, MS64 with maybe a couple of MS65's. I've had them to about 20 years. Sure would be nice if they were Phillies in 65+!!! As always, great video, you never disappoint! Stay cool Blue, it's supposed to be 100 degrees in our neck of the woods again!
Look for the double die on any of the coins. My brother had one with the drummer boy doubled so bad it made you dizzy when you looked at it, for about 45years never wanted to really get rid of it sadly he passed away and it's no were to be found. ? Maybe put on ebay seems to be the place to go? Good luck!
You can sell them to your local coin dealer. Keep in mind, though, that those quarters have a high mintage (809,784,016) and are probably not worth more than face value. 🙂

I have a question, I know this has nothing to do with the subject of the Bicentennial coins but, its about the Roosevelt Dime. Why hasn't the mint made any kind of changes to it in the last 73+ yrs, I mean the "Mercury" dime wasn't minted for as long as the Roosevelt has, plus no design changes since its initial minting in 1946. The Lincoln obv penny (2 times), Jefferson obv nickel and Washington obv quarters, all have had at least one design change since their modern minting. Are they ever going to redesign the Roosevelt?
