Hey I have a question for you I posted a short earlier going through my quarters I found a 1995 very very good condition I have letters going through the hair of Washington towards the top of the head could you let me know if you seen this or do I have something
First I want to tell you, you have turned my family into coin collectors. During COVID we werer going nuts and it has given us something to do together. SO THANK YOU!! This is a none Penny question, I have a 2020 Quarter that I received in change from a store yesturday Marsh Billings Rockefeller D mint where the "o" are off set and it is only shinny in a few spots and on the front it doesnt look like George is struck all the way...
These coins were unfindable in circulation forever. As a former coin collector who looked through endless rolls of coins 30 years ago. None of these coins could be found and had to be bought to fill out your collection. Anything valuable and old has been taken out of circulation many years ago as coin collecting has always had many followers.
I still run into wheat stalk pennies every now and then when I get change from McDonald's. I'll bet people grab the ones that someone else has set aside, not knowing there is anything special about them.
@@thetruthfornow6045 even more hard to swallow is someone telling you that your quest is hopeless. It may be the truth for now, but I think we can make our own.
Been collecting wheat pennies since 1976 I have about 5000+ mostly average circulated to mint. I have about 30 double stamped wheat pennies. I have few error pennies like no date stamp. Will take them to see what they are worth.
It's interesting to see these because many people brush off wheat pennies as if they're nothing. I went to a coin shop near me and the guy said "well these you can go ahead and spend".... I literally had wheat penny's encased in a collection set. I usually go through my pennies a few times a year to find the wheaties. Sometimes I'll even find pennies on the ground and check if they're wheat. I just find them all fascinating.
A lot of the coins you mentioned are very well known by the masses; however, a few of them, including the 1956D are widely unknown IMO and I have been collecting U.S. coins for 60 years.

Hi Justin, i recently found an wheat penny i found quite interesting and was wondering if you knew anything about it. I remember hearing about these "spy coins" when i was younger but idk much about them rn, any info would be greatly appreciated. It won't let me post the pics for some reason
Honestly the majority of those pennys after grading fees and auction fees the sellers lost money Its worth noting that i stopped collecting coins when i tried to sell a rare penny and the buyer tried to rip me off by saying well i can get the same penny a year later for 5 cent that was the exact moment i decided to sell my entire collection and just put my money in the bank been putting my money in the bank most every paycheck since 1999 and am proud to say that the interest collected is worth far more than the resell value of most coin collections not trying to say collecting coins cant be profitable way to add a little extra income to your retirement but i will say collecting common coins is not the way
It was once tempting to take a 1944-D penny, a comparatively common date, and file down the first 4 and pass it off as a 1914-D penny. But a dealer knows better- the altered penny will have a VDB under Lincoln's shoulder, which was not started until 1918.
I used to have tons of these pennies as a kid in 90s and early 2000s. I lived in an old building and you would just find them laying around in building apartments.
Back in 1955, a friend worked at the A&P Store in Palmer, Mass and acquired 3 uncirculated rolls of the double die penny. Unfortunatelly, they were returned to the bank. He thought the customers would not accept them in change.
I have a wheat penny year 19 3 yes the 3rd number is missing altogether and the rim is not even on one side it's etched out by the stamp die in a double v shape on both sides on the same spot.

I was wondering? I have a 1961 penny Lincoln is on the front, but the back is blank. Also it's also a bit larger and thinner... so does it have any value??? Just a question. Thank you
The US Mint does not issue PENNIES. These are are one CENT pieces as indicated by the word between the two wheat seed heads on the obverse side of the coin you refer to. The PENNY is a British coin, more often referred to as a pence. If you are a coin collector, you should already be aware of this. It is an error to confuse the two.

Hey couch collectibles I have a seriously interesting error on a 1983 D quarter. I’ll include a pic if I can but a quick description is on the tails side of the quarter, the last A in America. The A is filled in; like it looks like a pyramid or the Eiffel Tower, due to not having the tiny triangle notch in the center that makes the A itself stand out as it’s letter. Also every other A on the coin has the expected tiny notch that makes a triangle the letter A. Trippyyyy
They (many collectors on yt) say that PCGS is gold standard, NGC is next in line, followed by ANACS. Beyond grading there is CAC which I've heard referred to as an added verification of grade. Don't know if that can be a stand alone or anything else about it though. Due diligence in this area is definitely needed if you're serious about collecting. Each place has different criteria and pricing. It can be very expensive, especially if one doesn't fully understand the process or the coin(s) they are having graded. Not having high hopes is also often recommended by various collectors. Apparently there is more disappointment that elation in the mix. Good luck!
@@justinhughes4195 you're welcome. Thanks for the heads up about anacs. Mind sharing more about your experience with them? Being somewhat of a beginner, I still haven't found much that I felt was worth sending in yet. Started looking into these companies a bit more at one point & was going to go thru anacs because it seemed to be most reasonable cost wise. But I have quit using various companies due to poor customer service in the past myself. Even if it meant having to pay a higher price elsewhere.
@@lora97006 I sent some coins in last year to them and they sat on them for 6 mo's. I called to find the progress and they said my credit card payment had rejected many months ago. I called my CC Co., they did research and found the charge had been credited back to my card the same day by anacs. When I called anacs, they blamed the whole thing on me. They never contacted me in those 6 Mos about their error, I sent them proof from my CC about their error, and they said they would hold my coins until I paid with check, cashiers note, or direct bank draft. I contacted the president of anacs and found that the CFO, who made the credit error, is also in charge of Customer Service. So any issues are always the fault of the customer. They finally ran my card again and sent me my coins. Never again...
@@justinhughes4195 I rec'd notification that you replied in my drop down menu on my phone. Even saw part of the message that said you sent coins in. Clicked on it & it brought me here, but I don't see that message here. This happens quite a bit & it's annoying to say the least. Getting to be that time to say bye to yt & go somewhere else where they aren't trying to control everyone.

Hey bro my son found a 1943 copper penny but he is to scared to try and sell it cause he does not know who he can send it to so he can get it graded he also wants to make sure he is reimbursed if something happens to the penny along the way can you help me?
If I could back in time, I'd go to Denver and get some 1914-D cents and 1916-D Mercury dimes. Most coins with an 'S' mint mark from San Francisco were worth more, wish I could go back and get a roll of 1909-S VDB pennies. Other coins from the Colonial and Civil War days are worth a lot. Coin collecting is for the wealthy only now.
I have come acrossed a 1955 double die wheat penny but its different than the double die u showed and where it shld say "liberty" it say "bberty". Interested?
How about 37 wheat pennie no mint stamp ,i come across it nice condition front & back ,looks like a double stamp lower part of coin what might it be worth? 👍
I love wheet pennies and collect all the ones I find. Also I would like to ask a question, so I have around ten of the Sacagawea gold dollar coins but two of them are very different than the others. They have a different picture on the back of them. Not the usual eagle or bird on the back. How can I find out the background on these two coins because I am running into dead end on what I have tried to search so far.
Hi there, I just Love all of the videos and teachings you bring to your page. I have been saving coins which I believe could be worth something. I have a 2015 D dine that has some penny coating, can you tell me what can I do?
So if your just the average Joe that has bags of old Pennie’s and may have some valuable pennies where do you go to get them valued? How do you know if your getting ripped or not? I have bags of old Wheat pennies dating back to the 1920’s. I have no clue on where to go.
If it's copper and don't stick to a magnet weight it if it is the same or very close to other 40.s send it in to ngc to grade it if real it's worth a ton of cash!

Good luck!
@@lora97006 ok, thanks. I won't use anacs ever again. Worst C/S ever. I will stay with NGC and PCGS
The cost to grade is higher then the coin would be worth ? Who’s making the money …not us
I just found the 1936 wheat penny without the mint mark, so it came from Philadelphia. Now I gotta go inspect for the D.D. tomorrow!!
I picked up a 1914-D Penny from a wheat Roll. But Lincoln’s Bose is missing. Most likely in poor condition thought it was in Good.
I recently got a 1956D penny in my change with a manufacture defect on the back .definitely an error..
Good to know about those penny's because i got a lot old copper and wheat penny's.
One more thing. I was looking to order your microscope. But it says Sold Out. Anymore coming in soon ? Thanks
only worth what someone is willing to pay for it
Had a roll of wheat pennies at work that we got in change from our bank. Best $.50 I every spent. The oldest was a 1909 Philly. 12 coins before 1930 out of that roll.
1953 in a couple of more different and this is the only one that I have like this with the back just like the one you talking about
What if a dollar bill has consecutive numbers like 1,2,3, does that mean anything?
It can be. There are sites online to put in the serial number to see how common it is.
DO I HAVE SOME INCREDIBLE ERROR PENNIES THAT I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYWHERE 🤔 AND YOU MY FINE COUCH COLLECTABLE INTERNET Y TUBE SENSATION! YOUR INFORMATION IS PRICELESS. THANK YOU AND HAPPY NEW YEAR MY BROTHER 💯 ✌️💖
What's the best way to sell double die Penny's pgcs or eBay? And what about the doubling found on pennies never mentioned by anyone?? How do these get graded? I'm trying to find what the value is to sell my pennies., Going back to 1897, I have thousands and thousands my mother saved for me
Hey bro my son found a 1943 copper penny but he is to scared to try and sell it cause he does not know who he can send it to so he can get it graded he also wants to make sure he is reimbursed if something happens to the penny along the way can you help me?
I've got a 1956 D coated as 1943 steel...?...got from Ia senator coin collection at auction..worth?
Where do you go to have your coins inspected
Where do you send them to get them graded?
Hey so I'm just curious but who do you talk to about getting coins checked out?
If I could back in time, I'd go to Denver and get some 1914-D cents and 1916-D Mercury dimes. Most coins with an 'S' mint mark from San Francisco were worth more, wish I could go back and get a roll of 1909-S VDB pennies. Other coins from the Colonial and Civil War days are worth a lot. Coin collecting is for the wealthy only now.
I just found 3 1964 Jefferson Nickels. Where can I have them auctioned off?
I have a buffalo nickel that is copper colored. I can't see the date. Is it worth anything?
If i have a 1955 wheat penny with no mint mark should i get ot appraised?
i have thousands of wheat penny's. what are the ones to look out for as I know nothing about the coin business.
I do have a few 1920 wheat pennies and a few years earlier than that too.
I probably have over 200 wheat pennies I never thought about looking closer at them definitely gonna check them out.
Hi there, I just Love all of the videos and teachings you bring to your page. I have been saving coins which I believe could be worth something. I have a
2015 D dine that has some penny coating, can you tell me what can I do?
I have a 1943 wheat penny that’s silver in color. Was wondering what it’s worth?
So if your just the average Joe that has bags of old Pennie’s and may have some valuable pennies where do you go to get them valued? How do you know if your getting ripped or not? I have bags of old Wheat pennies dating back to the 1920’s. I have no clue on where to go.
i have a 1943 penny. how do i know if its worth alot of money
If it's copper and don't stick to a magnet weight it if it is the same or very close to other 40.s send it in to ngc to grade it if real it's worth a ton of cash!
I came across a 2023 nickel with a line thru his eye but I don’t see any other to compare it to ,,, any suggestions on where else to look
