The home bar tour vids is fun and inspiring. Love to see the passion people have not only for cocktail making but also the ambiance one can create to go along with it. The ultimate garnish. Cheers! 🥃
I really enjoyed this video. As a novice home mixologist it’s nice to see the interpretation of a drink from a menu. I have been working on a Manhattan variation from a restaurant I visited with only the menu description to go on. I would love to see more videos like this! Cheers!
Hell yeah! Good to see Alley on the map. Shannon’s a great boss-sat us down for hours and hours of detailed history, production, and flavor notes for every drink category imaginable (and cheeses/other foods as well). If any if y’all make it, chef Carrie’s burger is literally life changing. Sad to be far away. Thanks for the video folks!
This was great, I love the comparison between the home and bar version of the drink. I must say Andrew came fairly close to the original with some changes. he has a great home bar and the bar you visited is fantastic too. Thank you for this.
Love seeing these home bars, and hearing what inspires people to create these interesting and unique spaces. Also love the discussions about techniques, and specs. More of this, please and thank you! 🙂
I love seeing these home bars. I've been slowly working on my and hope to really dig into some remodeling this summer, so keep the inspiration coming!!!
Great video. Super fun to see the process, explanation & comparison. Can't wait to see the follow-up video comparing syrups so I have an easier recipe to follow for the syrups and infusions!
Marius is killing it with the cinematography on these home bar videos. Love the feel and the style you guys are putting out there with these. Well done.
Im outside of Philadelphia and had a team at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham. I'd go to Alley26 every week for about 2 years and brought EVERYONE to that bar. Their cocktails are top notch, but what's even more impressive is the life-changing, religious experience-inducing burger they make. Im not kidding.
This was a really fun video with the juxtaposition of home version and the original! And putting myself in Andrew's shoes, it's awesome to be able to find out the original recipe for something you recreated at home and have been making for years. Some nice validation for his process and instincts, while also some good education in some of the finer points of the bar-level process. Excellent!
This is awesome! Would love to see a series of you taking guesses at making bar’s house drinks or whatever they’re known for and then actually having the bar confirm or deny your specs and how close you were-reverse engineering type of thing!
Dig this format. I had a gin drink called "Blackbeard's Delight" at a spot called Miss B's Coconut in Mission Beach that I'm trying to deconstruct now. Got the specs but not the measurements. It's fun challenge.
@Barfly Freepour I know at one point you reverse-engineered drinks from Trader Sam's and Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar. Doing more drinks from them or other Disney bars would be cool to see!
Andrew, love your home bar! Where did you find Cherry Heering Liquer in Raleigh? (noticed it on your shelf :-). Seemed to me the ABC stores in N. Carolina don’t carry a lot of things. Thanks for opening up your bar and experiences to us! Great video! Both filming and content! Big shout out and thanks also to Shannon and Alley Twenty Six!
This was a great, i like how u got through the video how the cocktail tasted. Bar home enthusiasm like myself it was really nice to see this point of view. Keep upp the awsome videos
I use the morgenthaler approach to ginger syrup (blending ginger sugar & water then running through a nutmilk bag) & it comes out very spicy. Now I'm wondering if I should take another look at the infusion method...
I saw at the bar he did not pour the reposado tequila and Blanco infused hibiscus separately, Did he combine the blanco and reposado and then infused hibiscus or do you only do one ounce infused blanco and one ounce reposado?
I really like the blue nails… as a male (frequent not full time bartender) in the south I get so many questions on my nails lol I can only guess you got the same in NC
I live in Durham and Alley 26 is an all-time favorite for my wife and me. I love to see Triangle bars getting some spotlight. We have some great ones. Bar Virgile (also Durham) and The Greenlight (Raleigh), and C Grace (Raleigh) are also great picks for those not familiar with the area
Hey Leandro, any thoughts on trying to make your own amaro at home? I just bought the book ‘Amaro’ by Brad Thomas Parsons and they have a recipe section in the back that I wanted to try. Would be cool to see someone else start from scratch as well.
I’m short, My son was getting bullied at school for wanting to wear nail polish, so I wore it too to illustrate that men can wear nail polish but also that it’s normal and fine to accessorize if you choose
Guy says, gonna make my own because of pandemic, and is sitting 18 inches away from him, and then proceeds to touch all the same bottles the other guy did..... good lord...

I love this format and style of videos. Super informative, give another perspective and bring something new to the game. Great video guys. Cheers!

Please make more of these videos!! Loving this new style. Also thought it was so cool that you took the trip to go taste the actual drink!

Great episode! IMHO this might be your best for this channel. Very informative and fun to watch! Do more of this please! Awesomeness!
The channel deserves to have at least 500k subs. The quality and the content are 5 stars. So great!
Thanks!

Great concept for a video! So cool to see both thought processes on the same drink!

By far the best series on the whole youtube bartender’s community. Nice work Leandro, keep it up!
Once again, great video. Guesstimating signature cocktails from different bars is also what we do a lot haha. Got to drink them at home as well.
Thanks for highlighting areas in Raleigh/Durham
Very cool! Now I need to come up with a house drink for my home bar.

Yeah we’ll try and do this as best we can. Would be great to get some recommends or suggestions from the audience tho
@@freepour I’m sure you’re already sitting on a mountain of content, but I’ll try and think about some Chicago spots!

AWESOME format, love everything about this.
Now I have to drive 9 hours to North Carolina this summer to taste this drink 😀
Beautiful! Love the bartender banter.
This deserves more views. That was awesome.
Amazing episode! How cool to first go to the home bar and then drink the same drink in a 'real' bar!
Great cocktail and really cool home bar. Cheers!
Love this. Going to have to try it at my place.
This was a great, i like how u got through the video how the cocktail tasted.

I love Raleigh. Only been living here for less than a year but it's amazing!
needs this cocktail in my life
I cannot believe you were right around the corner from me and I had no idea! I’m also a local Andrew. I’d love to have you at my home bar! Damn.
I saw at the bar he did not pour the reposado tequila and Blanco infused hibiscus separately, Did he combine the blanco and reposado and then infused hibiscus or do you only do one ounce infused blanco and one ounce reposado?
White Rabbit looks like a great place to hang out.
Awesome video! Need more videos like this
Was the tequila infusion a cold infusion or room temp?

I love the home bar videos❣️In the jalapeño/hibiscus tequilla; how much hibiscus per 700ml bottle? Thanks!
I usually make it in batches of 2 cups (~475ml). For that I use 3 tbsp of dried hibiscus and 1 chopped jalapeño with seeds.
@@whiterabbithomebar Thanks! That’s really helpful and I can’t wait to try it🙂
@@whiterabbithomebar thank you both, I was about to ask the exact same question. Can’t wait to try this out! Cheers.

Andrew was really nice and fun to have on the show :)
Ooh, wish I had known you were in NC, would have come said hi. What are the painted nails for?
Yes, do the ginger syrups, Leandro! Greetings from Waltham, btw.
How much Hibiscus would be used in the infusion?
I believe it was 3 Tablespoons per 750ml of tequila
love the travel videos Leandro and Marius!
Marius is very knowledgeable , although his painted blue fingernails threw me off in the beginning! 😂😂
Leandro had his nail painted blue, me, marius did not.
@@freepour Ooops....sorry!
Great home bar!! Can't wait to see what's next.
For a moment, I thought you injured one finger. Then two. Eventually I woke up haha.
Ok dude I have to ask. What’s up with the nail polish?
I’m short, My son was getting bullied at school for wanting to wear nail polish, so I wore it too to illustrate that men can wear nail polish but also that it’s normal and fine to accessorize if you choose
@@freepour love it man. Uncle Pete's Cocktail Shop started wearing nail polish recently too. I see a UA-cam cocktail channel trend happening soon.
@@freepour that’s awesome!!! Color on point btw 👍🏻
@@freepour way to have his back man, respect!
@@freepour Love to see that top notch parenting!
Very cool video / series
I love this content and I need to try this drink!
Milk & Honey ginger syrup is definitely made with ginger juice
I live 2 hours from Raleigh, this is awesome!!!
"The anti-Steve"..... LOL
Great video. Salud🍻🇲🇽
Great story
Really fun video! Did I miss how you know this guy?
He’s one of our viewers. Didn’t know him til we made the video :)
What causes one's fingernails to turn blue?
Nail polish 😂
Was that man professional wrestler Daniel Bryan? Yes! Yes! Yes!
I like the barfly2 tag on the corner
Next time you’re in Raleigh hit me up, my bar does clear ice in house in a clinebell, and we have over 300 spirits in house.
Definitely will! What’s your bar?
I loved this episode!!!
This was nice. 😊
Well, I guess I know where I'm going when I visit my in-laws.
I think it’s BETTER at home!
Love it mate!!
Love it 🍸
Before the crowbar was invented .Crows had to drink at home
I didn’t realize Leandro had painted nails until later in this video. I thought he had bruised his thumb.
Guy says, gonna make my own because of pandemic, and is sitting 18 inches away from him, and then proceeds to touch all the same bottles the other guy did..... good lord...
More home bar tours! Need any volunteers?! 🤗🥃
Mayyyyybe!
So rather than the first guy just making 2 cocktails at once, they each made their own because of Covid?
Leave Raleigh and Charlotte and the rest of us drink Natural Light.
Makes own drink because “pandemic”…proceeds to put nose about half an inch from bottle?
The 1:1 honey syrup made you cringe didn’t it 😂😂
Always 😂
"I'm going to make my own cocktail bc of pandemic" 😂😂 Dude what?? Lol! But be "mask-less" in front of him. Make it make sense please.
I'm going to make my own because of the pandemic...
😂😂😂😂 I said the same. Confused tf out of me lmao
