This is way better then any of the big channels handling and explaining this subject, this guy is massively underrated and will definitely be one of my new go tos
Oh yes!! Thanks for popping in a reminder here about Benedictine! It's a must and the Vieux Carre and La Louisiane are two amazing depth-filled cocktails that are so amazing because of how wonderful Benedictine plays with the ingredients! Cheers! 🙂
@@liberandco I have all of these spectacular liqueurs and some others as well so my home bar is definitely well stocked! I like having what I need to be able to make whatever someone would like when visiting my home! Along with Campari, which I love, and Aperol, I also love the inexpensive "Select" product and it's delicious in a spritz! Grand Marnier is so amazing and it's my go to orange flavoured liqueur! I always have some on hand and I love Cointreau! Cheers!! 🙂
Thanks for the advice, but I'm probably gonna stick to the trusted "20 gins and nothing else, plus a fridge stocked with tonic and a freezer stocked with ice cubes" formula. Worked for me so far.
Great list of recommendations. Do any need to be refrigerated (like vermouth)? Or are they all fine to leave out on the bar at room temperature? Thanks!
My stock of orange liqueurs: Bauchant - love this stuff, Cognac based but different from Marnier. Grand Marnier-the orange standard, but there is competition Luxardo Triplum-my go-to triple sec style Agavero Orange-a tequila based orange liqueur and it's wonderful and strong Dripping Springs Orange Vodka-smooth and is a great surprise add to vodka drinks
I spy that bottle of Chai Tea syrup! That stuff is incredible. The recipe for the Chai Tai on the bottle is an incredible Mai Tai variation! I still haven't tried the versiin of the recipe with pineapple, on the website. I want to try them side by side. Gonna be sad when this one is retired
Good eye-we were wondering if anyone would catch that! So glad you're enjoying the Chai Tea Syrup. There should be plenty for the rest of the season, and who knows, maybe we'll bring it back next fall 😉🍂
Awesome video!!! Green Chartreuse is def my fav liqueur, followed very closely by Campari!! This def covers all bases for sure!!! Maybe a video on essential Amari???? CHEERS!!!!
There's nothing wrong with Kahlua, it's the most widely available and accessible, and great to have behind your home bar. That said, we really like Mr. Black, it's a craft product and the quality really shines.
It's very hard to find but it can be found. I picked up a bottle at a wholesale asian market last week for $54. They're out there, just keep looking in the not so obvious locations.
@@seegomez82 That's the point, what' little supply is left out there will continue to diminish until it's gone. I couldn't find any locally or on-line, there may be some left in small or hidden stores, but I'm not going to spend all my time hunting for it, I just wanted to try it, but it's going extinct. Savior your bottle I guess.
I like how you describe them so well, it's what videos like these are usually missing.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, cheers!

Love this list! When I think green chartreuse my mind immediately goes to the last word!
The Last Word is delicious! Do you like it?
I love Green Chartreuse and when using it my fave cocktail to make is a Last Word! It's a fabulous cocktail!
Thanks for the shoutout legends!
Ya'll are the best! Keep up the great work!
Let’s not forget Benedictine in the Vieux Carré and La Louisiane! Otherwise, a great list that covers a vast majority of great drinks. Cheers!
That nearly made it onto our list. Definitely a good one to have behind your bar. Love those cocktails as well!

Good luck getting chartreuse now
This is a really helpful video containing some terrific info on the best liqueurs - "the essentials!" - to have at home!! Thanks so much! 🙂
Thank you, Christine! Is your home bar pretty well stocked?

Great picks! We have quite a few of those behind our bar. We haven't tried the Dripping Springs Orange Vodka. Are you from the Austin area as well?

Essential Amari is a great idea!
@@liberandco I def have a great list of Amari to choose from!!
Very well done. Is Vermouth a liquor? It's in a bunch of cocktails! Otherwise I love Ammeretto often.
Thank you! Vermouth is technically an aromatized and fortified wine. It's wine, usually beefed up with brandy and then flavored with herbs and spices.

The Last Word.
I only miss Licor 43 for a nice Carajillo, cannot be miss
Did he not get paid by Kahlua? How can you omit something so ubiquitous and just give it an off-handed remark?

Almost no one needs coffee liqueur...
Yessssss!!!! First in!!

No more Chartreuse buddy, the monks stopped making it.
