This is a 6 minute video of my first F-86 Sabre flight on June 10th 2014 at Gatineau/Ottawa Exec airport (CYND). It shows taxi-out,take-off and two low and over. The rest of the flight is not shown as my mission was to get to know this beautiful jet. There are no simulator or dual seat aircraft prior to flying the Sabre so during this first flight I did a lot of stalls in all configurations, rolls, high and low speed handling. We do not carry out touch and go with our F-86.
It is a fantastic aircraft. It feels like like a race horse that you have to contain. It just wants to go. It is equipped with the famous Canadian Orenda 14 engine.
Fantastic to see this bird in the air. I watched the engine being rebuilt and had to find some flight footage, thanks!
Thank you for uploading this. It was great to see you fly out and return with the Sabre on July 10th. For the flyover at Beechwood Cemetary, while I was visiting friends from the Commemorative Air Force and the B-17G. Caught a neat zoom photo of you looking right at me during one flyby.
Excellent Pierre! So glad you've finally gotten the solo in. We're looking forward to seeing you in the sky at the controls of this beautiful bird.
Una simpatica crociera e panoramica di pista. @
What is the reason for the rather excessive shaking?
Hey "SIMONAC", mon Pierrot... Super Cool....
I’d love to get some real stick time in an 86...!!! No torque,no P factor...just plane fun...!!!
PAF has world record with this fighter jet, MM Alam shoot down 5 Indian fighter air crafts in less than a minute in Sep 1965 war.💪💪💪
🇵🇰 we love F86
Wow, I take control of my F-86 now we're is the $&@"€£ Mig mate 😺👌
Canadair Sabre 6.
CL-13?
Yes it is.
Sounded like a little "stall" when you lined up to take off and throttled up from idle.
What you heard was me pushing the canopy closing switch one more time prior to take-off.
+Pierre clement Okay, thanks, my mistake. It just sounded like the floof we used to hear when spooling up the TF34 engines we used to test.
:))
