This is great, I've wanted to get into Morrowind more seriously for years now, and this guide will help with that!

Thumbs up! Excellent guide despite limited info. There's good info here to get started. And that transport map and info is a huge help. I don't plan on doing the cheese exploit stuff. But it would be much more helpful to learn how stuff works. Like alchemy, enchanting, killing dark brother, and other important info on how the game works. I just found out that starting with at least 30 points in a school will give free starting spells for that school.

Minor mistake for slower players doing self-spells: Increase duration to 3-4 seconds as the timing for these self-spells will get you distracted by other things like surprise assassin or ashstorm + cliffracer combo.

A bit more of an in depth explanation of luck for anyone interested. Any time you have a success chance performing an action, a relevant attribute is factored in. For example for spell cast chance 20% of your will power is used. Luck contributes half as much as the relevant stat for these chances. The full cast chance formula is (skill*2 + willpower/5 + luck/10 - spell cost) x (0.75 to 1.25) depending on remaining fatigue. If you have 50 destruction skill and 60 willpower, which is a pretty reasonable starting point for a high elf, and cast the starting destruction spell which costs 6 magicka your chance would be (100 + 12 + 4 - 6) x(0.75 to 1.25) or 110 x 0.75 = 82.5 at 0 fatigue and 100% at full fatigue. Your cast chance is displayed for each spell in the magic menu so you don't need to do the maths. While it does affect many aspects of the game, luck isnt really worth levelling as, unlike other attributes, it can only ever be increased by 1 per level.
Getting a +10 at creation is just something I always do now as it's one of the easiest ways to get a little bonus & maxing out other stats is relatively easy in comparison, it may not make a big difference ultimately but it saves ten levels of sinking points into it :)

My Goofiest TES3 character: Snak Gro-Gunk, the One Punch Orc Shaman... The Stark Naked Master of Fisting, Chugging, Teleporting and Summoning. I would have named him Bruce Boner, but that would have made role playing him a bit of a stretch. He did occasionally have to wear pants, though.

Yeah I currently play a Breton under the apprentice sign, 300 max magicka? The downside of apprentice is cancelled out by my racial bonus? hell yeah
@@IggyMaid I have been fond of going Atronach, and having my early game be dominated by alchemy and enchanting...later on you have plenty of magicka for being a bit more of a caster, but all the charged magic items you can find and make yourself add up to the best general caster I've ever made in the game lol.
I'm pretty sure you can't max out either misc skills or minor skills.
I can confirm this is not the case, I've done it before. The only restriction is you can't use skill trainers to level a skill past it's governing attribute
4:48 you forgot the ghost buddy power.
Ancestor guardian is just a sanctuary power, it was changed to summon a ghost in oblivion. There is a conjuration spell to summon a ghost in Morrowind but anyone can learn that, and you can start with it as a bonus spell if your character starts with high enough conjuration and willpower

@@Self-replicating_whatnotMay be that way with a mod. Rebirth might change that, although I haven't played Rebirth in a long time. Probably many others as well.
@@PabloTheGucciWizard Rebirth added the ancestor ghost summon in at least one of its iterations. It certainly made some fights Very Silly.
@@jlaw131985 I remember that, combined with NPC's use their powers from the code patch. Every fight with Dunmer was a ghost fest.
Abusing Alchemy is how I at one point jumped from the bottom of Vvardenfell all the way to Solstheim in one go and making my computer cry for awhile.

Fantastic video. Some of the things mentioned only work because you're playing either OpenMW or the Morrowind Code Patch (like knocking enemies out with unarmed and stealing from them).
For my hints: You can grab items by clicking them in the world when the menu is open. You have much more range this way and the game is paused.
The Sujama Slamma: Just buy Sujama from barkeepers, chug it and one shot god.
I was specifically using OpenMW tricks as that's the platform I was on & recommend new players to try :) good hints though thanks!
