Lovely wish I was there. I visited East London back in 2005 and stayed in Rainham Essex. I shopped at the markets there. Loved it
The hibiscus drink , think it is sorrel in Jamaica check out sorrel in any Jamaican restaurant. I us made with a good hit of ginger. Please try it.

This was fantastic and am bloody sorry when my son lived in London he didn't know about it, as I would have arranged to see him and the family when this was on. Wish we had one in Northern Ireland, as there are some great Indian restaurants here. Am salivating. Great video and great people cooking.

Sorrell aka hibiscus is popular in West Africa, love that drink
My first time and not the last.
It's also popular in Trinidad and Tobago and called sorrel there. Originally made especially at Christmas season as that was when the plant is harvested, now available year round dried.
Also made into bottled and canned soft drinks, shandy, flavored rum, syrup for sno-cone/shaved ice, concentrated syrup for homemade drinks etc.
The left over petals are made into jams or jellies.
It's very high in vitamins especially C antioxidants.
Served cold it's a juice, served hot it's tea 😂.

Super annoyed at that Jerk chicken place. There is no such thing as Jerk fried chicken. It is either jerk chicken or it is fried chicken. The jerk is the marinade PLUS the cooking process, cooked in either a jerk pit, which is a hole in the ground, low and slow heat and then large pimento leaves placed on to cover and then the smoke then cooks the meat low and slow, or, in a jerk pan/drum which is popular as Jamaican street food. They've probably slapped some chilli powder in the flour mix deepfried it and then called it jerk chicken. It's not the authentic way of cooking real jerk chicken. As a regular viewer and subscriber I hope your fans and viewers don't think that is a real reflection of Jamaican cooking and Jerk chicken.
I'm sure the fried chicken the food stall made was absolutely fine and lovely. Looked really crispy and hopefully still suculent and juicy. But. It's not real Jerk chicken lol
