I remember the weekend after Korey won Nationals, I was at Super Games when he asked who had a Kamionwizard. He wanted to playtest Infernity for Worlds. I gave him mine for free, but he insisted on passing me $5. In early 2016, he said hello to me back when we topped the same regional and still remembered that transaction. Nice guy overall.
He seemed like a really nice guy, i guess even he realized that infernity was the best deck. I think even in his deck profile he mentioned that hat shouldn’t be as good. Also, Kamionwizard is super expensive nowadays. I still remember pulling one and keeping it because it was an anime card, glad i still have it. Probably not getting a reprint in the near future.
He bought a whole stack of Joey’s world singles from my buddy back when he worked for the store for a lot more than they were worth. A class act all around.
this channel is so informative and artistic at the same time. Keeping all cards mostly in there old prints and old high rare prints with black sleeves which i think is the best choice to make the focus on the artworks themself
I really loved this format because this format was slow paced and allowed for some testing of random flip effect monsters. Some of the acronyms were pretty funny too.
Have been buying back into this format in paper as I remember it very fondly. Thanks for the great content Joe! I second the suggestion for 9/2013 fire kings. I played the hell out of the deck and would be happy to shoot over a list
I did pretty well with a Fire Fist deck this format I really liked the amount of player interaction this era had, like the way you had to inticipate your opponent's Hand or Moralltach plays as you mentioned

One sleeve for all my collection binders is essential for this channel.
My favorite youtube series by my favorite yugioh player.

the last great yugioh format
After mermails, dragon rulers, and spell books HAT felt like a hard reset of the power of decks which was really refreshing
Right on time, I am building a hat deck and appreciate all of your insight.
The video quality has gone up so much in such a short time. I was just looking at the first DAD profile you posted. great work
Thanks! I am trying.
Probably the best format for competitive play
Great Meta call, I was very fascinated with this one
The truly last pile of good monster decks. Love the flexibility of this deck and how many different card choices people would make with it.

Xyz Infernity 💯
I need to pick up the cards for that and I already did synchro Infernity… but eventually!
There is one top deck missing form the radar: raccons (1st in cuteness)

Will you be doing more on the 2012 format? Possibly a hero beat list from post Nats?
13:44 Compulsory is at 1
Yeah most of the 1-of traps were limited this format. That's the actual explanation for them being 1-ofs here lol
Can we talk about fire kings in spring of that year though. With 3 rekindling
That is a deck I have never used BUT I am willing to take a look at it.
I topped an ARG with Fire Kings :) love that deck
that deck was always scary
Uhh.Nice🤩
Moraltach doesn’t target so cairngorgon won’t work
