I like it... but it is not 'original.' Unlike other covers she has done, where she brings something special of herself and her art to the song, it is just an attempt to copy the original song.
I commented on this in another video of hers about how amazingly she has made many other songs her own. This isn't one of them. It is just a very high quality and well sung copy.
Unfortunately they don't come close to the original tho so I can totally understand y ppl wouldn't like it I'm in a happy medium place with this version.
She's good I'll give her that but like many songs some shouldn't be touched this is one of them I'm afraid

Karma And Effect was always my favorite album. That whole album is a journey
they are amazing live as well. Out of the hundreds of shows I've seen they are probably in my top 5 live bands. Maybe not now though, most concerts have sucked lately with everyone holding a cell phone the whole time. I feel so blessed to have seen real shows in the 90's and 2000's

A lot of people do, when Roomie was reacting to Anthony's take on his challenge, said he sounds just like cornell, when he did the audioslave impression it was 100% on spot.
Roomie even broke character and gushed about how good his voice was in that impression, forgetting for a moment that he was supposed to be acting like the bad guy.

I don't think her voice sounds like Amy's, as many people say, but her style of singing is similar and she can make that deeper voice, like Amy does.
Yea, she doesn't quite have the same operatic range, or at least not in this song, BUT, the similarity between the two voices/styles is definitely there.

Her accent isn’t, her pitch and style are. Amy is smoother and holds notes truer, or did in her day. Violet has more grit to her.
I feel like there are some places where she could have changed the vowels to sound a little more like Amy, but her voice does have a similar quality. Covering Amy Lee's singing suits her really well.
My favorite is that Violet doesn't breath into the mic like Amy does, she also can hold her note longer.

One of the first cover of this, or any song with Amy Lee singing in. Finally someone that is not just singing, but portraining the emotions in the lyrics as well. This song is very special to me, and this cover brought tears to my eyes.

such a great song, seen Seether play this live with Adam from three days grace 10 or so years ago and it was so amazing. I had chills everywhere and tears roll down my face out of nowhere. Out of the 100's of concerts I've seen, tool, korn, metallica, you name it...that moment is one that sticks out.

This actually sounds very close to the original. Violet's deep voice is getting so close to Amy Lee's, at times I couldn't tell the difference. Same goes for Anthony. It's like your voices were made for that song. Amazing perfomance guys.
