The little red triangle light on this and similar models is actually a reset button! Press and hold this in with a pen or something for 10 secs and should do the same thing as disconnecting battery
Omg thanks. I totally just did this and it worked. I been driving around with no stereo audio for a month now. Looked up some videos ..glad i found this one and your comment. Right on..im back in action with music yaaaahh! 🤘🏼
Just got the same error after hooking up my new JBL rear speakers. I have a Kenwood Excelon DDX336 DVD player unit. I didn't want to have to pull the dash on my Honda Civic EX but I could. Thanks for the easier route or fix. Good up.
@@flyingRich Thanks for the battery check step but it’s actually the alternator that’s a little tired. The battery is good and the starter. It’s my Mom’s2007 Honda Civic Ex.
Mine is a JVC. I know absolutely nothing about anything technical but I can do some mechanical work mechanical work. I'm fixing to try it now. I've been driving for 2 months without a radio yo and it's been about killing me. I hope it's gonna work. Thank you for the tip I will let you know
It really depends on the vehicle. With the Envoy the battery terminal is right there. To get the radio out, lots of trim needs to come out first. Now the Lexus RX450H the whole dash just snaps apart tool free, but I still think it would have been easier to pop the battery terminal.
The Envoy is not a daily driver. I've had to do the reset again recently. I think the battery gets low voltage on starting. Speaker popping, I have not experienced. Sorry, I can not help.
Good idea - but not always, sometimes that only will cut the ACC feed and leave the 12v connected and won't do a full power cycle. This was the case for me and I did the "triangle button" hard reset
Unplugged my battery waited a little bit, plugged it back up fixed the problem for now. I would’ve never thought of that. Thanks for posting the video.
Okay. So it looks like it's been a year since this individual produces video. To the individual to did post it. Good on you for your success. However myself as a limousine chauffeur service driver out in the field. I don't happen to have been blessed with car knowledge nor do I keep with me nor am I instructed by my management to keep with me a set Atul. So I am for lack of better term no pun intended screwed. Because I can't just very well try to
I make videos almost every day. This video may be a uear old. Check on your radio on the top left if there is a hole a paperclip can fit into. You can try to reset the radii that way.

Thank you! I found a pen and punched the tiny button. I was dreading trying to take the whole thing out. 🙂
Fucking life saver dude seriously ❤
Just saved me a days worth of tinkering

Your battery may be on its way out, get it load tested. If you need a new one, price check Walmart!
@@flyingRich Thanks for the battery check step but it’s actually the alternator that’s a little tired. The battery is good and the starter. It’s my Mom’s2007 Honda Civic Ex.
It was the speaker wire being loose. It’s good now that I crimped the leads.
This works this work this works!! Just Disconnect from the battery for about 10 and put it back on and boom!!! Thank you bro!
So glad it was helpful!
THANK YOU!!!!! 🙏🏻 THIS IS A GREAT TRICK!!!! ❤❤❤
I watched other videos and thought the same thing. Thank you for your video.
Me too! Also, get a solar charger, see my new video... or the pinned comment
Just tried this and it worked. Thank you.

Thanks so much this helped!!
You saved me a headache man thank you so much
Happy to help
Thanks you am from Indonesia
Also technically battery terminal on GM side terminal batteries are 5/16 wrench but 8 mm works just as good
Thanks! I'll add that to the description
Thank you. It works great with me.
Tried it and it was way easier than taking radio out 🤣

Thank you so damn much. Such a life savior 🙏🙏
You can also just Push the lit up triangle button above the menu button to reset it...
tq...i already try and alhamdulillah its work
Bloody Kenwood couldn't have made this any less obvious could they 😂
Yup just tried it and it worked. I couldn't do it with my finger so I used a pen 😂
Worked for me! Thank you sir!!!
I just simply pulled the radio fuse, that worked for me and a lot simpler than removing ground from battery
Good job! :)
I tried this and it helped at first, my speakers were making popping noises and then the error popped up again, any ideas?
The Envoy is not a daily driver. I've had to do the reset again recently. I think the battery gets low voltage on starting. Speaker popping, I have not experienced. Sorry, I can not help.
If you keep having the problem and popping noise you could possibly have a short in your speaker wiring sonewhere
Worked on my jvc double din 👌🏼
I had to do it again a few days ago.
YoYoYo
What is the cause ? After 4 years of use suddenly got this code
I suspect it is the battery getting low / old.
Definitely worked on the first try! Thought I would’ve had to buy a new radio🙄🤣 TY!
Send some cash my way, or just subscribe! ;)
Worked for me! Thank you.
Thanks for letting me know!!!
So its just removing the negative battery terminal for 10 seconds?
YES!!! That simple! Thank me! ;)
Didnt work for me too, i have a focus 2002 and a dnx5710bt KENWOOD.
I’ll try
It worked my radio is back on …..
Thanks it worked.
Excallent!
Terima kasih abang ilmunya😊
I only get the error message when i put my car in reverse. Would this help me? The message goes off when i cut my car off and cut it back on.
Sounds like you have something wired wrong on the reverse lead.
@@flyingRich ill check the wiring again and see if theres a connection issue.
@@flyingRich i dont have it hooked up to anything because i dont have a reverse camera and im not using one
It worked for me thanks
Great!
I did it and it worked but it still coming back
Your battery is low or it is draining.
@@flyingRich I see let me try to a new battery thank
Gracias amigo!!!!!!!!!
So glad it helped you!
i just turn my car completely off & when i restart my car the error message is gone
Bingo! Worked on fist try. Big TY!!
Glad to be of help to you!
Thanks but did not work i do have a different model but nothing on youtube has worked
Sorry to hear that. Keeping the battery on a solar charger seems to work.
i did that still not working.. help please
You know whats even easier guys? Pulling the radio fuse on the cars fuse panel. 🤔😉🙃
Great idea. I did not know what fuse it was. So it was easier to pull all power for me. Also these instructions work for everyone.
Good idea - but not always, sometimes that only will cut the ACC feed and leave the 12v connected and won't do a full power cycle. This was the case for me and I did the "triangle button" hard reset
