You are a legend my friend.. your comment is 10x more useful than this video itself... I fixed it way easily by pressing ( with safety pin/Tip of flat head screwdriver.. not finger friendly) this video deserve 600+ dislikes for waste of time lol
This guy is saying the upside down triangle isn't a button. Lol I think he needs to try again instead of tearing the radio out of the dash like he did LOL
After trying every method I could find on UA-cam to fix this error, I FINALLY figured it out. This thing is a piece of crap, going in the garbage. P.S. The button that you said wasn’t a button, is a button
my dnx891hd has had nothing but probs, it keeps putting up protect mode with nothing connected, place said something internal was the problem, sending it in one last time and im done with it
Exact same thing happened to my kenwood ddxbt373. Had an hour drive ahead of me so I couldn’t pull the radio out. Instead I pushed the red triangle with a knife (Yes it’s a reset button) and it reset it. Recalled my memorized settings and fixed. 3 minutes max
I've been struggling with my Kenwood "DC offset protect" error for almost a year now. I've been trying to save money by not taking it to an audio store. I've already unplugged everything and disconnected all my speakers, but that didn't fix the issue. I'm going crazy with this thing.
Hi there, so it's 3 yrs later, have you solve the problem yet. As I've got the same problem. I've even sent mine away, had it fitted properly, and wham o, it did it again. Hav'nt done nothing about it aver 2 yrs now, pitty pissed off. They keep telling me it's the wires, you know what, i recon the problem is in the aeropro loom. So I'm goona see if I can get another 1. Fingers crossed. Cheers from AUSTRALIA
Just to let you know the red light that you said wasn't a button , it is one. It's the reset button.. well at least it is on my kenwood dnn770 you have to use something like a pen or toothpick in order to push it. Also the DC offset error protection, means there is a problem with a short in the speaker or speaker wires.. meaning you could have a bad coil on a speaker and you were listening a little two loud for two long and it heated up causing a short.. if you get my drift.. I have seen this problem and 7 out of 10 times it was a bad speaker coil.
Hi! Can you help me? I chansen startbattery in my car. At the same time all entries and (code) disappeared. How to unlock the radio again? (4 numbers). Regards Christer
So this video was still helpful for me and i'm glad you uploaded it... but he's right... our red triangle you can't push AT ALL like some other models but there is a small pin hole right directly next to it I didn't see the first time either until I read this comment. I pushed that and my error went away
@@stalinangamarca6152 i put in more money trying to get it fixed, had it diagnosed and they said it was the actual lcd screen that was causing the offset error on my dnx891hd. done with this f***in thing.
Or on left side from grange you got actual little button too push with keys or something and it will restart, you don’t need too take it out and unplug
@Mr Dice I wonder if something in your radio is just fried at this point. You unplug the battery, it DOES reset, but as soon as you turn it all back on the radio doesn't work because that particular circuit is 100% dead immediately.
The button that you said wasn’t a button, is a button. Use a safety pin and just push the little red triangle. Worked very easy.

RESETTING IS THE WAY TO GO , UN DO YOUR BATTERY CABLE WAIT FOR 10 SECONDS DID THE JOB , THANK YOU FOR ADVICE
Resetting with the battery only worked with me once :/
Worked for me. Thanks
Oh my gosh, thank you so much. Pushing the red triangle worked ! Saved me a trip to the audio store.
Gave my husband the idea to unplug everything and plug it back in . You saved us 🙏🏾
Yea I ended up unplugging the battery cable and that did the trick, but I still like this video because the dude has some helpful info for me...
Thank you so much! Work on my DDX2.
Unflugged power supply and it reset
Press the “Red Upside down Triangle” with a pointy tip. I used a pen 🖊 , this will reset the radio.
Wow your awesome this worked for me thank you for sharing 😊 😀
This guy is saying the upside down triangle isn't a button. Lol I think he needs to try again instead of tearing the radio out of the dash like he did LOL
Worked for me. Thank u
I literally just pushed the red triangle on my ddx395 and it worked
I really appreciate it lol I didn’t even know that was a button and I had the radio for like 4 years now
The thing you said wasn't a button is a button. Use a paper clip or pen tip. Worked for me. Way less hassle :)
After trying every method I could find on UA-cam to fix this error, I FINALLY figured it out. This thing is a piece of crap, going in the garbage.

Worked like a charm. Thanks a million!
Thanks dude 😊 solved quick.
Thanks! You just help me. Reset done.
The little red button is a reset button u have to get something pointy and push it in
That didn’t work for me
The triangle reset button worked for me.

Hi, my kenwood Dnx 5719 keeps botting start and shut down in a loop. Do you know any solution for that ? THanks
Lol I went two weeks just thinking I was gonna have to tear everything apart and I just unplugged my battery and plugged it back in and it works
I have same problem. I recon it could be in the aeropro loom. I'm gonna see if I can get another one from auto shop. Cheers
The triangle is a button and it does work when using something small to press it but the question I have is what is causing the error?
Push the button it is a button don’t do all that it just worked for me use something small like a key or screw driver it works .!
That was the 1st thing I tried. Didnt work for me.
@@FlyingWheels your supposed to hit the small red triangle with like a pin not the hole black square

That red traingle is a button. We just need a little clip to push it. What happens next is that the unit resets to it's factory settings
The red triangle is the reset button... it is in fact a button and the guy you said don’t listen actually is right. You are wrong
Yes it is a button you need a paperclip to push it I have the same one.
Usually happens when you have a partially blown speaker or speaker dead short
69MazdaR100 bro my red light comes on and the fan in the back is on but my screen is black. Any Suggs?
I keep hearing suggestions about my speakers. But I disconnect all of them and i still have the message
Just take the negative battery cable off for a minute and it will reset. Boom
👍👍👍👍
That red light is a button!
Yes it is and this guy is saying it's not! Lol
I've been resetting this thing for six months. At least every month or two it goes out. Has anyone found another fix? Thanks
check the speaker connection

What’s the passcode for a Kenwood DNX7100 or how can you bypass it?
Turning thr power off brings it back on but does it when my base is on. My connection are tight
I have the same radio. My screen is not turning on and the red triangle is blinking. Also when I press the eject button my radio make noise.
Abraham Soto bro I have the same problem but mine is the 890 Idk what to do
@@CoachQD I was able to fix the radio. Double check the positive (red and yellow) and the ground (black).
You will need a finger nail file or a paper clip to push the upside down triangle directly in middle it will reset
You just have to push the actual red part of the triangle.... it will reset itself
Or on left side from grange you got actual little button too push with keys or something and it will restart, you don’t need too take it out and unplug
it is more easy to disconnet the battery
Will disconnect battery work?
