I have a question: How can I continue to work out with weights, and walking while fasting for 20 hours? I think my problem may be an "old" mindset that says I need to eat after my workouts, and I need a certain amount of protein. I just stumbled on your page today as I am really struggling with my weight. During the pandemic, I lost 40 pounds but I was working out twice a day. Now, menopause is looming (6 months no period), I just turned 52, and all levels have tanked. My doctors think this may be it. I have gained back the 40 that I lost and I feel horrible but I have no energy. Sorry for the long post but I really need insight as to how I have fuel to work out of I fast for 20 hours?
I took the course and have been following a 20 hr+ IF daily, twice extended to 36 hr and 48. Ketones are up to 1:5 but I notice glucose is higher than usual most of the day dropping to 80 in the afternoon. I feel great and I’m not even hungry. When I do eat something, I get full much faster than I used to. I’m sticking with low carb, but allowing some fruit and small amount of whole grains so I’m confused. Should I be concerned? What’s up?

Yes, I teach you all about that in class. There is a reason you are feeling that way. It is part of what happens when you energy systems start to shift.
Dr. Bergs electrolytes powder and in post menopause and haven't really lost much weight. I can do 20/4 no snacking or real cravings anymore. Magnesium biyscinate has helped with sleep too.
Tip Celtic salt is good ( if you need) electrolytes or if you feel weak and tired. Just use a very small amount on the tip of your tongue or just drink one bottle of smart or essential water mineral water. Electrolytes is also in fruit like papaya and watermelon, and Brazilian nuts has the highest amount of magnesium, just two during your feast, if you can have them.
And I am doing the 24 fasting technique for menopausal women and have great success my question is I have coffee with just a little bit of salt in the morning to get me going and help me to not eat but I've seen some recipes with cottage cheese and egg whites and using I use organic coffee is that okay to have before the 20 hours or is that not making it clean

Anne. Does drinking water with electrolytes count as eating and Not clean?? I'm typically drinking only water but wanted to ask. Ty😊

I have colitis so I have to watch what I eat too

The person who says food is not enjoyable and only eat one meal a week obviously has a problem with food anorexia etc

Cottage cheese and egg whites is eating not fasting.
Several days of my usual eating erased any benefit i may of started the previous week. Anyone else having a rocky beginning?
