A year and a half ago I started wearing drawstring ponytails over my natural bun as my protective style. The first ponytail I ordered was the wrong color. It was two shades too light. I have finally been able to color that ponytail two shades darker by using box dye. I just put the color on the ponytail and let it sit for 48 hours before rinsing it out. The color came out perfect. It is possible to use box dye on synthetic hair, you just have to leave it on for a long time.
Should we pour the developer in the bottle 1st since you had to use a specific amt, because when you poured it with the color the color was already taken up to a specific line?

I was wondering how long to leave it on the ponytail? Not using any heat.

I think if I leave the box dye on it for a few days it might work. I saw another video that showed if you leave the box dye on for a long time it does darken the color. 🤞🏽
Didn’t u suggest not to use the 40 developer and use instead the 30? Well I used the 30 developer and waited like 35-40 min and I can’t really see the difference. I think I should have used the developer that came in the box.
@@CynAiyanyi I didn’t kno it was only 20. I’m going to have to bleach it first then add the box color , which btw is the dark and lovely which is the brown sable. But thanks for letting me know.✌🏽

yes just up the developer to 40 vol

i poured the original developer out and poured the new in to the line the original was at
Can you use the clear developer with this color to?
yes it does the exact same thing as cream

i explained it in the video but i wanted a higher developer so it could lift higher

i switched out the developer for a stronger developer
How long did this color last? I know red bleeds fast
its red and box dye it faded pretty fast
