The fact the guy who launched HIMSELF off the runway sued the organizers afterwards for his own negligence, sadly doesn't surprise me.
I agree, but if he would have been by himself, how long would he have been left there? There’s a big hole in the safety if nobody knows that a car just drove past at 200 miles an hour at the end of the runway.
@@JacobTerherst How does that put responsibility on the property?
@@CursandCows I didn’t say it did and I didn’t say the guy in the car should have won the lawsuit.
@@JacobTerherst So what were you saying?
@@CursandCows that it’s an absolute joke that the so called safety officials have no idea a car has driven by them and is left in the firing line of other cars. Regardless if the guy never braked, braked late or the brakes failed altogether, at no point in time should cars be sent down the strip. Imagine if another car went off the end with him sitting there.
6000 for a slatnose is just insane
May we all find a deal like that one day (at the expense of a bank)
Seth shared a lot of great stories while he was here. You'll love them.
Fun but useless fact.the building that Manhattan motor cars is located was the remaining factory/warehouse heavy timber building on the block that wasn’t burned down during a fire in the late 1970’s. Everything else on both sides of the block was burned to the ground
Seth also saw the Spyker value extra early!
That steel Slantnose! 😍
I couldn't imagine sitting in that swamped car for an hour. Not for the fact of being gator sushi, but sitting in your own sh*t.
I am willing to bet many kilos have landed on that runway!
Seth sounds like a great barstool buddy, hours of interesting tales to tell! Enjoyed this video greatly!!!!!
All the pix were the cherry on top!!!
He sounds a lot like the ticket lawyer
Happy Friday party people!
Pka was great, love seeing your personality.
Happy Friday, folks. Don't race on active runways!
I remember Seth from the old Exotics Rally era. Glad to see you’re still out here.
Great guest!
I live (and have driven on) Jumbolair...where Travolta lives...the runway is not quite long enough for my AMG to reach 200.....
flachbau's are the coolest. sadly i rented a 348 once and thats when i realized after the death on enzo the last ferrari to me was the f40 with 1 exception -pista!!! you had a great bunch of car!s. cheers
New meaning to being “swamped” at work!
The first airport race I ever heard of was in the 80's in Nassau, Bahamas. I never got to attend until about 1996.
There were pieces of crap there but every once and while a few exotics would run.
There was so much cash onsite for bets it made me really nervous.
No safety, no cops and thousands of poeple.
Guys racing hot roads to imports for 50,000k a race.
The next time we ever hit a run way gain was in Canada in a 2 bit town in Ontario. Nothing but 200mph cars were there. It was pretty good.
I imagine the American events though were on another level and a bit more organized with more safety measures.
“North America, (which included Canada)” You don’t say! Who would have thought!
Amazing story! When a man blames someone else for crashing his own car, that man is the perfect example of an ultimate failure. No exception, you should have seen it coming. Accept the risk or don't take it.
@@bwofficial1776 Maybe I said it wrong. I fault the driver for filing a lawsuit against the venue. Always the drivers fault.
The 308 is about as exotic as a Feiro
Off topic question. How soon do you think flooded supercars from Dubai will start showing up for sale here in the States?
Stupid question, import laws in the US are extremely tight. Any vehicle younger than 25 years old will have a very hard time getting into the states.
Make sure you add that .6 buddy 😂😂
He was sitting in his car in 3ft of water for an hour?!....yea uhhh either that guy has zero survival instincts or he was just looking to get paid from the jump
Might wanna stay in the car. You can't tell where there are teeth in the Everglades.
Porsh. Geeardo.
Dude, WTH is up with emergency services? Sleeping on the job. They screwed up majorly when my wife died. I'll never assume they're qualified again. Like cops, the firefighters are ignorant too. I've not witnessed Ambulance teams screwing up yet.
From what I've read firefighter culture is uhhhh... interesting. And as for the ambulance, they would have to have some serious noise cancelation to not hear (or see) a fly-by this fast lol
Police beat me last year, trying to get ambulance report, I jumped thru all of their hoops, it was something else needed by them, after every email, they quit replying when they couldn't think of anymore requirements
Seek and Destroy lol
"A guy nearly killed himself on my watch and we didn't even notice for an hour until his wife asked where he was! Hurr dee hurr hurrrr!"
And people wonder why events like this get shut down...
Lawyer's try to ruin everything
10 mil lawsuit is crazy lol learn to drive the car
Can't an e60 m5 do 200mph from factory?
Geeaaarrrdough. Wtf
that's what it's called, yeah
Seems like a nice guy but meh
34 seconds in, and I knew I was done watching this channel.
This channel is actually awesome.Don't let this one ruin it for you. There's all a lot of good stuff
