Thanks to Ed for allowing me to tell this story on VIN Wiki. After his invitation, we flew DIRECTLY to Atlanta for the filming 😉
I'm happy for anyone who enjoys the story.
As someone who loves the Diablo Jotas, and in the best colour, I thank you for the story. One of the best cars Lamborghini ever made. The only car that made pink manly. Yeah, let's face it, it's a pink car :D
Thank you for the story! So happy for you guys to have gotten this back in your family!
Beautiful story. Danke, Moritz. Now enjoy your Jota on the autobahn!
Great story!
Often times a heavy euro accent wouldn’t keep my attention but this fella was able to keep me listening. Good story.
That's incredible. Tracking down a previously owned car can be more difficult than anticipated. If you're lucky enough to locate it, and have the ability to buy it back, don't hesitate!
Any new content MSM?
😂
For sure! My father sold a car back in the ‘80s and started searching for it a few years later. He could never find it, so in 2016 he bought another car similar to it. One day while driving his new old car, a stranger approached him and mentioned that he knew of a similar car that was sitting in a garage that was similar to my dads long lost car. Long story short, I traced the lead through numerous people and ended up finding it and confirming it was my dads old car! It’s in many pieces now, but still exists. Would love to buy it someday! Finding a previously owned car can require persistence and dedication, but more importantly it requires a lot of luck!!
I'm a simple man, when I seen my El Cameo 18 years after selling.. i was so happy (not looking to get my hands on her again) just to see she didn't die and get crushed.. (bumper sticker was give away) every thing looked good..except Trans AM looking wheels.. I prefer my mis matched hub caps.. I reiterate.. Netflix series with re-enactment filmed.. if you think of doing it.. please invite me and my Chopper to episode w/Fantasy..i appreciate women in Bikinis
Omg that Japanese owner is very famous car collector in southern Japan!
He has very nice collection of the cars.
He was maybe a mile away, but we could hear the exhaust, shifting from 2nd to 3rd. It was incredible.
...LOVE THIS!!
I thought he was gonna crash it...
I also searched out Dad's old car. As a kid it was in my driveway everyday. Now as a grown man, it sits in my driveway everyday. John Termarian was my inspiration with the video he did on his "emotional attachment". Thank you Ed and John for inspiring me to complete an impossible dream.
ok
what car is it?
@@Toxic2T 1982 Corvette Collector Edition

@@Toxic2T it's a cool car because it 'was dads' but honestly it drives like an ancient vehicle and my wife's camry will smoke it lol
Cmon why not surprise him with the car? What a let down of a story!!! Still happy for you, there’s nothing more pleasing than a nostalgic hunt.
Hearing this type of story warms my heart as I'm lucky enough to have my own. I'll try to keep it short. My mom's father was the owner of a Chevy dealership in the midwest. When she was 12 or 13 years old he got her a hugger orange 1969 Camaro convertible, a RS/SS 396 big block car. She would wash it regularly and drive it in parades until she got her license. She demoed multiple dealer cars throughout high school and the years after but always kept the 69 as the parade/nice day/weekend car. In 1990 it was sold to a guy from town who ended up moving it across the country. I was born in 1992. He was sort of a family friend so we would see him every few years at nascar races and other events. At those events my dad would always ask if the car was for sale, it never was. He owned multiple cars over the years but always kept my mom's 69. As he got older he started selling his cars off and in 2021 he called my dad to tell him he was selling the last one, my mom's. So my dad and I flew down to where the car lived, looked at it, agreed to buy it, and took it for a drive. I got to be the first one to drive it in our family since my mom had sold it 31 years prior. We then had it shipped back to the Midwest and have been enjoying it ever since. Honestly I think I drive it more than she does! We didn't have to hunt quite as hard as this guy, but the love and passion is the same.
Amazing find. Don’t let it get away again!
Son, thank you. I got this... Epic story....
Great story on tracking down a family memory. Don't let it escape, ever!
Moritz....just an unbelievable story, so happy for you and your family. BIG CONGRATS!
Incredible story Moritz, please come back with more stories soon
I wish I had stories like that, but I grew up poor, we didn’t have any cool cars, just cars we could afford
I bet you still had lots of fun beating on some shtbox cars though no??
@@proudpennsylvaniaman7996 oh yeah, still have one, a 93 Civic hatchback, but it was always more of a risk for me, if I ended up breaking a car, chances were I wouldn’t be able to fix it, and I’d be on foot or riding a piece of shit bicycle
That's incredible dedication and proves the car community is universal
WOW. very special to share with Dad.
Awesome! A successful hunt and that for an SE30 too! ❤
This is such a touching story. Congratulations and thanks for sharing
What a great story. They’re just metal, but man are they so much more.
Meanwhile my dad in 1995 with a silver Plymouth Acclaim...
Finally a Dad's car hunt story that doesn't revolve around a junk car
Absolutely amazing story
OMG, I also have almost same story and hope my son will bring by my To 'yota' one day. I even have number plate from the car...
Love the reunion story
Such passionate people
AMAZING STORY
Beautiful story
This is a awesome story! Glad to see cars come back to their first original owners. Just don't let John at curated have it! I'm sure you are now o his radar in case you ever decide to sell and no doubt he will over some new record price to get it.
Great Story!!...👍🏽🏁
Just awesome.
Great story i truly like it!
Another great story!!
1 Minute ago is wild.... Also don't need to watch the video fully to know that's its gonna be a banger...especially if it says Diablo Jota !
god bless you and your family, I am extremely happy to see the car goes back to the original caretaker.
Really dig the story
gorgeous car!
When he mentioned a yakuza owned it, first thought came to my mind was Morohoshi San
I was getting really nervous at the end when he mentioned tires
Incredible story, was really scared there at the end that he was gonna say they crashed it lol
Awesome
Cool car, great story
Last month, I tracked down the son of the original owner of my 370z Nismo, who passed just a month after purchasing the car in 2012. I regret not recording the call, but he was very apprehensive towards me calling until I reminded him of the car, and then the tears started flowing. I plan to bring the car to him at some point to let him get some pictures in it with his newborn.
Your poor family :/
This is a cool ass story!!!!!!
cool story
If it takes 20 years to find my uncles old Subaru, I’ll take it. Only 16 years away. Really hope it wasn’t destroyed.
Hell yeah
I got this one, scale model of course🎉🎉😂
Did he say the year he was born is 1995…? Looks like he is 40.. Dang, 😢I’m really starting to get old.
Thx God thought it was gonna be the Corey Haim look alike guy

Born rich. Niceee
mad for what
@@realherobrine5636 not at all i said niceee. Seems awesome
what the problem with telling the price?))
it is cool story..but you still owning a countach, and bought 2 other cars in japan, and stating cant afford it at the owner price doesnt sit well..i hate people like this..the money doesnt mean anything to you, but it probably means everything to him..
He can't afford it because he spent his money on the Countach and Japanese cars. It makes sense.
@@bwofficial1776 countach already owned, the 2 other cars bought after the negotiation starts..do you even watch the video..
that probably means he's not that rich
bro is it just me or this guy looks like mike majlak
Meanwhile my mom with a 1995 Ford thunderbird.😢
That's a car you keep passing down to each generation!
Silver spoon? The year I was born dad bought a used F150, single cab
It wasn't amazing, it was DIRECTLY!
My biggest question is how "Jota" becomes "Yota".
It's Italian.
@@bwofficial1776Are you disabled? Jota is the spanish word for the letter "J". Nothing to do with "cAuSe ItS iTaLiAn" LOL
its a spanish word
@@realherobrine5636 Exactly, "J" is not pronounced "Y" in spanish.
