I'm a brand new cockapoo-poo Mom and oh my heavens! What! Have I gotten myself into! 😆. I've always had giant shorthaired breeds & I need all the help I can get! Mindy is 9.5 pounds & 6mos old, and doesn't seem to enjoy brushing. But I am able to brush her. I can honestly say she gets brushed at least every other day. Tips, hints & suggestions are more than welcome. Especially when it comes to preventing mats!

Here are some tips the work for me:
1. SOCIALIZATION to all the grooming tools most especially to the brush. This is crucial in the puppy stage to set them up for success as full adults.
2. Brushing daily is key to follow thru with socialization training and preventing the plausible matting.
3. Using the best brands you can afford. I actually found another shampoo that has been working so well on my girls' coats even without the sprays! Try the Super Bath from Augustine Approved. ^^

Hahah this depends on how diligent I am in brushing them on a regular basis :)
How often do you use the ice on ice spray? Is it safe to use daily or does it cause residue and buildup?
Hello! I used to use it every time I brush them. So every other 2 days? But recently I actually found a better solution to matting vs Ice on ice.
But in my experience of using ice on ice. I never really noticed any major residue build up. Maybe because I groom them weekly?
Does the ultra work on heavy mat behind the ear? Golf ball sized matting
Yes. I have tried it myself, but you just have to soak the spray on the crazy hard matting for 10-15 minutes then slowly work on the matting. :)
