- I FINALLY got the chance to see these guys live last Euro festival run and they absolutely destroyed it. It's for that reason I decided it only made sense to do another reaction for these boys. These guys are freakin hilarious and bring a whole new meaning to the world of metal that a part of me needed.

I want Lorna / Will to collab with as many beloved artists as possible so that I get my friend to listen to them / him. EC are definitely on the list. My friend didn't enjoy the Lorna concert I hauled them to, I didn't enjoy the EC concert (suffered a concussion, I think that's a fair reason) 😂

As the furdad of 2 Malamute and 1 Husky/Mal mix, I can confirm that's exactly the right term for it 😂
It is a real castle, but not very old. They shot it in two days and nights. The director had the idea for a Disney musical. I think they hit it.
Schloß Rothestein is in Northern Hesse.
The castle was build in 1891 by the local theatre producer
and is quite theatrical to say the least.

I just love that Will, who is the singer of one of the most brutal bands i know, is celebrating a cover of a 90th Eurodance song like a child on his birthday. I love Lorna and i love EC, so i love your reaction reacting to EC.
Btw, if you love a good musicvideo, try to react to the newest release from Saltatio Mortis ft Blind Guardian - Finsterwacht. They are a german Folk Metalband. The song is in german, but has english subtitles and the video is pure epicness, like a Hollywood movie.

Germany is filled with old castles. Before it was gathered into 1 country, there were numerous of small kingdoms. Some of these has been kept in a good state and are used as hotels, BnB, museums or other accomodations,

Nico (the cleans) he is so fucking good. If they still had their old singer they would not be the same.
I completely disagree. Though EC went a different direction their old singer sings in Ghöstkid (Nico's old band, they swapped singers) GK has some songs where he does cleans and sounds great. Even before he left before Nico came in he could hit highs in EC. However EK before Nico was a completely different sound.
@@FarewellFix Ghostkid was founded by Sushi after he left EC, so I don't think Nico was ever involved in that. Nico's previous band until shortly before joining EC was To The Rats And Wolves, who split up in 2020.
@MrKohlenstoff Yeah, you're right. I should of specified that TRAW members joined Sushi to found Ghostkid. Still essentially just switched members. I still believe had EC gone the route with him and not Nico. He could still hit those notes. But I do love the route EC went and I very much like Ghostkid.
I just loved to the rats and wolves, was heartbroken by their split up. But good move for EC.
When I was a teenager, I was *really* into Hardcore Techno. But even in the 90s there where some DJs who incorporated Metal into it.
While I mainll moved to certain Metal styles later one we see more then two decades later: it works. And it's most importantly fun!
I LOVE the fusion of my still favorite types of music.

@@shona5512 Actually not realy. While I liked their songs, I know only the most pupular ones everybody back then with a certain degree of Techno affinity also knew.
No I was into the more France/Netherland/German Hardcore Techno stuff, as well as Gabber. It just needed a solid pumping base - and speed. Anything with less then 180 beats per minute was lame to me... 😅
Later I also learned to like certain other musical stiles (from Hip Hop to Metal, with a sprinkle of Classical).
I can’t help but think there’s some sort of Powerman5000/Orgy influences behind ECB
In the behind-the-scenes they show that they are indeed filming in the castle.
And the song live is an absolute banger.
Scratching the itch is such a good way to put what Electric Callboy manages to do. Everything song just seems to hit that certain little bit that just makes your brain KNOW it's a banger!

I pulled a groin muscle in gym class while dancing to the original version. We were playing rimscatter and I was taunting a buddy of mine by dancing to the song, then a girl came out of nowhere and threw a ball at me. Which I dodged, but the sudden change in movement made me tweak said groin. Still occasionally a jolt of pain when I'm getting out of a sitting/crouching position. Iconic song btw

Fun fact that actually did shoot in a castle in Germany!! They made an entire behind the scenes vlog for the shoot! Also as for the video production being fantastic one of the guitarist (pascal) and his brother actually have a video production company called schillo brothers! They’ve produced literally almost all of EC’s music videos except for a few
Fun fact: They basically make their videos themselves. Pascal (guitarist) and his brother own a video production company. Probably one of the reasons their videos have been top notch from the very start.

this is why the sunday of Download Festival last year was so epic. i got to see both Lorna Shore and Electric Callboy for the first time on the same day. Also ran into Moke and Adam while they were walking around looking for a hat and talked to them for a sec. so yeah… a fabulous time was had by me even in that heat 🤘🏻💜

Yep, this is what a reaction-video must be. Enjoy the music, repeat the parts you like, dancing, what a perfect reaction Will. I discovered the EC guys one year ago and it was the best that could happen to me, they always cheer me up :)
Note: btw, they did record the video in a castle, in Germany its very common to find castles jajaja
It's surprisingly easy to find some old (and newer) castles here in Germany (regarding to Wikipedia around 25.000). They are literally everywhere and everybody can reach one within an hour. And because of that, it's pretty cheap to rent one.
Sometimes I travel by train, randomly spot one on some mountain while looking out the window, and imagine what the scene must've looked like when it was build.
Electric Callboy is amazing. I saw them live two times last year and had the time of my life :D

Love your reactions, man. You're my favorite guy in all of metal right now, so much positivity and good energy, just a joy to watch. Only thing that would make these videos better for me, is if you could just run the music video once completely through without interruptions. I think that's the best way to really 'feel' the music and the video the way it's intended and gives the music a better chance of wowing you and us, the viewers.
But you do you, my guy. Most, it's about having fun and enjoying oneself.
