Damn. That is actually pretty cool. Could you do a video on the hierarchy of the sanghielli? I want to learn more about the roles of scions and some of the lesser known things about the elites.
Yep. When Timothy Zahn started writing the Thrawn trilogy he was looking for source material outside of the movies. WEG sent him copies of their RPG manuals.
EckhartsLadder I’d love to see a video breaking down what the CIS worlds did and if/how they fought the new empire with the all battle droids shut down/offline.
I heard Imperial Intelligence and got excited then I remembered this isn't a SWTOR video. For those who don't know, 1 of the 8 player classes in the game is the Imperial Agent, an Agent of the Sith Empire's Imperial Intelligence. The Imperial Agent story is one of the greatest stories.
Such a cool video! I always wondered about this from reading about it in the Thrawn Duology but never really understood it's history. Thank you! And, thank you for adding timestamps! (I don't use them that often, but they help when I go back to catch a specific portion or part of a video.)

#askeck In Rebels Zeb talks about how his entire species was almost killed off by some sort of ion weapon that targeted the nervous system? What do you think would happen if that was used against the Flood, especially the different types Graveminds? I think the Halo rings worked on a similar principle, but it's never too clear in the games if they target just the Flood's food, or the Graveminds as well.
I'm truly sorry I didn't find your channel earlier, your deep dives are exactly the content my scatterbrained nerd ass needs. Keep up the amazing work.
Depends on the division of ONI. Section Zero handles Internal Affairs, like rooting out rogue elements within ONI. While Section Three are the ones that are in charge of top secret operations, R&D for new technology, and other shady things. If you need someone to disappear, call Section 3 and they'll send a spook or wet work team. Try to steal some secret information while working at ONI, expect Section 0 to come knocking. Section 3, also happens to be where the Spartan program originated from.
@@MrMiller2048 That would be a mismatch in my opinion. Two completely different levels of technology. And the empire is much larger than the UNSC. Both are very well organized in terms of different branches, hierarchy, etc. But at the same time ONI has disagreements, between divisions. Everyone lies to section zero to avoid getting a knock on the door, other parts of ONI avoid saying too much around Section two or they might find the top secret info they said out loud being used as a part of section two's morale boost. Point is, both are good at what they do. ONI section 2 are the propaganda and information manipulation wing. One example of them being very good at their job; after releasing information about Spartans being real came up with the myth that "Spartans never die, they're just missing in action." to further boost morale. Section 3 on the other hand keeps the truth about what happened to and the mission of the Spartan 3 program a secret from anyone and everyone that doesn't need to know about it. In Halo, while Admiral Hood may have been the face of the top brass and leadership, the Vice Admiral in charge of ONI was the one that put a lot of plans and things in motion. Like building the Infinity. I'm not that well versed in Star wars lore, so if any one wishes to comment on notable things the ISB has done, feel free.
@@dkchaos1133 I understand the difference between the power level.but seeing the effectiveness of gathering and protecting information from ONI compared to ISB. Hey Eck, I always like to think of COMPNOR as the minsitry of the interior for the Galactic Empire rather than a political organiaation or league or even as their propoganda arm. Great video.
On the thumbnail I like it when you see stuff like that, it’s a reminder that space operates in 3 dimensions and that theirs really no reason ships even ones as big as the executor can’t rotate on its side.

Lol, as far as I remember my WH40k 101, the Imperium was a galaxy sized dumpster fire fighting dozens of wars simultaneously throughout its entire existence and worse yet not having evrn a decent understanding of the technologies they were using, so no, I don't think it would have a chance against the Forerunners at their peak.
I am confused now. I thought the Ubiqtorate was a general name of the the most heavily fortified stations in certain systems.... Like in the books when Bel Iblis trying to get his hands on a certain list from an Ubiqtorate station by using the Errant Venture. In that book that station was stated as an Empire Navy base.
Great video, Eck! I studied the history of the Stasi (the East German domestic security/intelligence agency) in grad school, so I'm very interested in intelligence agencies and their methods. How would the Ubiqtorate compare to the KGB or the CIA? The CIA is an independent, civilian agency not directly connected to the wider military-industrial complex (at least in theory). The CIA is responsibly solely for foreign intelligence, and they are also not allowed to operate domestically (legally anyway). The KGB was a military-style agency (although distinctly separate from Soviet military intelligence, the GRU) with responsibilities for both domestic and foreign intelligence. Was the division between the Ubiqtorate and the ISB similar to the division between the CIA and FBI?

And it's well established that there are individuals who can fight jedi 1v1 without the force so it's not that Luke or another jedi would resolve the conflict without any struggle
