    3:07 2 - Outdoor sports (feels like a hobby and not like a workout)
    3:51 3 - No caffiene (can make some of us go up and down in energy)
    4:26 Ashwaganda (supplement that lowers stress levels and makes him sleep better)
    5:10 4 - Blue light glasses
    5:41 5 - Organic herbal tea
    6:05 6 - Sleep (go to sleep and wake up at a similar time every day - he perfers go to sleep early and wake up early)

    1) Turn off most lights in house as sun goes down. Never turn on a super bright light after that. 2) 3 eggs every morning, often with cheese or salmon. 3) visual minimalism in my apartment. 4) walking outside at full pace at least 35 mins twice per day

      @@edwardhisse2687 Honestly, our adhd is a significant disorder, it is not that we're just not build for our current society. People like to make things up like the hunter vs farmer theory or act like adhd has certain benefits, it does not.

      @@insidiatori9148 I don't mean adhd'ers specifically not built for society, I mean humans as a whole wouldn't be able to evolve fast enought to be 100% thriving for our sedentary, carb-loaded and screen-lit society.
      It's just that various disorders and neurodivergencies make it even harder in different ways.

    100% agree with outdoor sports, for me its mountain biking, it makes you want to exercise and the buzz you get from it really helps me through the week.

      For me it’s Motorsport racing but I’m not rich enough for that but I’m doing pretty decent in gokarts and it’s the most fun I’ve ever had in my life, it comes really close to skateboarding for me, but alot more constantly thrilling. I’ve not been diagnosed but I’m certain I have some type of add/adhd, yet also feel like it’s a bad thing to self diagnose. Idk man, idk if I have it but I feel like I do. I hate my brain :(

    I changed my diet completely a few months ago after I was having long, terrifying panic attacks every day and discovered that my Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D levels were very low. I used to hate fish and avoid it, but now I'm in love with fish and feel like an idiot for avoiding it for over two decades! I try to have fish every week. By the way, I am also gluten-sensitive and lactose intolerant, so I have to be careful about what I consume. Besides fish, I have mutton, lamb, rice, a lot of vegetables (turnip, courgette, beetroot, aubergine, fennel, leek etc). I only drink water... and fresh fruit juices, occasionally. I stopped drinking carbonated beverages almost two decades ago! I used to drink coffee decades ago, but I never liked it and it never helped me stay awake - in fact, it makes me sleepy! What else? I'm a zero at physical activities, but I have to walk a lot on campus twice a week... I have a minor heart issue and my cardiologist has advised me to stay away from strenuous exercise. I'm not taking ashwagandha, but I'm taking homeopathic pills for my ADHD - they haven't been helpful... yet, but they've helped me massively and magically with other issues that I have, like acne, eye inflammation, armpit boils (yeah, I have an autoimmune issue) and IBS. I hate liver, but I'm into red meat and seafood nowadays. I used to drink a lot of tea, but now only rarely. I still love tea, though. Maybe I need to invest in blue light glasses and noise-cancelling earphones. Overall, I feel a lot better than what I was feeling a few months ago. My panic attacks have stopped completely. I must work on my focus now.

      Sports, consider taking adhs meds, Tea helps because of l theanine and Caffeine, but only large amounts in my case, so i take them in pills form 200mg 2x a day caffeine and 200mg l theanine 2x a day, do things you enjoy, write things down, I take methylphenidat and this helps the most so far, good luck

    You should try meditation, as someone with ADHD meditation can be a form of torture, but I promise that if you do it well it works wonders and you eventually start to see the difference, you have to stick to it.

    Exercise and switching my job to something that better fits my circadian rhythm has HUGELY improved things. Mainly because I have the physical energy to exercise now lol

      Exactly! At my former job the atmosphere was, and still is, incredibly toxic. When I switched jobs my mental and physical health improved immensely. I have more time to exercise and more free time. 😊

    Thank you, and thank you again for this video! So validating. Ever since my gut issues began 12 years ago, (massive food intolerance, IBS, GERD, etc.), I've had increased cognitive challenges. Much lower attention span, less patience, poor short term memory, less able to make good decisions, less able to plan for my future, less able to finish anything I start. I did the research and found out about a condition called leaky gut. And SIBO. So, I know that gut health and brain health are connected. I haven't been able to resolve the issues for 12 years! My doctor recently had me do an at-home stool test to find out about my gut microbiome. I hope that the results shed some light on my predicament. I know that good gut bacteria is crucial to good mental health! I need to cut out my caffeine, the sugar, and the grains. Not just gluten. I think low-carb may help. Ashwaganda, yes. It helps. I can't do bone broth because it releases histamine, but I can do regular broth. I can't do kefir. It's hard to find raw milk in the U.S. Also, you are right about finding a physical activity that you enjoy. I avoid gyms because I'm too self-conscious. But I could use a walking program and to learn to lift weights. Thank you once again for all the helpful information. I'm new here and have enjoyed many of your previous videos.

    Dude. Giving up caffeine was an absolute GAME CHANGER for my ADHD and anxiety issues.
    I always found any amount of caffeine would rev up my dopamine seeking behaviours early in the day and make me a jittery, anxious mess. Even one cup affected my sleep!
    I think generally because caffeine is so ubiquitous, people see it as harmless. For me, it was the root of A LOT of my problems - sleep issues, anxiety, worse ADHD, irritability and the list goes on!

      I relapsed a few time but every time I actually manage to last some time quitting coffee is usually the best I feel and function. Even thought it should be the opposite as coffee is essentially the closest we can to self-medicating stimulants. But if it works it works.

      I have stopped drinking caffeine for about 6 times now but I struggle to quit consuming it in the long term. It feels like having absolut no drive at all without my coffee in the morning. In a way I have to chose between anxiety and severe lack of motivation.

    I will share what has helped me:
    I drink a small smoothy every morning.
    1. 4 slices of beets
    2. 2 raw eggs
    3. 2 teaspoons Matcha powder
    4. One frozen strawberry and 5 blueberries
    (You can add flaxseed, kale, protien powder, etc. If you add more, you would add another egg or water)
    I buy my beets, slice them up and dehydrate them. Then put them in water the night before using. Beets are the superfood ingredient. Matcha is a coffee substitute that gives me a steadier flow of energy.

    Hey man. It’s been a while since I saw one of your videos but just wanted to pop in and see what’s going with the channel. I haven’t thought too much about adhd recently but I remember a time where I went hard on my treatment and you were one of the pillars of that improvement. As crazy as that sounds I owe a lot to you British friend, from the med reviews to the detox videos.     Great to see you back and looking vastly improved. I know for myself with the switching of my diet and working at a better place of employment has helped me immensely, also been going to counseling for issues that I know need worked out in life.

    Just stumbled across your channel. I am in my mid 50's and only got a diagnosis 7 years ago, after a lifetime of immense struggle and large mood swings. This is a great video with useful suggestions. Life can certainly be challenging living with ADHD and RSD, yet there are also gifts and talents within. You are truly using your talents and bring much support to people who suffer this painful experience/condition. Very inspirational, please keep up the good 'influence' - Nameste ;)

Writing books, posting more often, live streams. Your base is huge and you could crush it if you just focused on ADHD content.     You can get the kefir grains from a company like Cultures for Health and use however you need for those with dairy issues. Cycling is good, get a hybrid type bike, join a group to change it up, can even ride in the house on bad weather days. Totally agree on the caffeine disadvantages and ashwagandha. The latter is in most Indian grocers in ayurvedic section. My partner started hatha yoga 3x week and it made a big difference, also taught useful breathing techniques. Also added Flax seed. We have been to nutritionist and do not have any concerns, using a tracker helps.

    9 months is too much .. we need more videos, how you manage ADHD now, I am now taking 2 things one is concerta the second is SSRI, I do relate a lot to your experience and I do agree that there is always a trade of when using meds or no meds, Serotonin and dopamine must be both in good balance and what I did experience using only concerta is exactly what you experienced but I did add SSRI and now things are so much better.. it really make concerta easy with very minimal side effects specifically irritability, it is still not easy to manage SSRI side effects it has alot of sensual disfunction side effects for men.
    let us know how everything is going with you, keep it simple and humble with zero editing this will make it easy on you and it will help you to post more videos.

    fresh strawberry kefir literally takes like a danimal for adults. I got addicted to it quickly haha, but my stomach is grateful for it. It goes SO good in smoothies as a milk substitute.

    I've got large areas of stinging nettles coming back into season- last year I made nettle tea, and also used the blanched leaves from the tea in my meals like spinach. It was so good! Little bit of pepper & salt on it in my meal and it was better than spinach.
    Also the tea I refrigerated, and found it was amazing cold. I felt a million bucks when drinking it- my mind was energised.

    ADHD brains and Caffeine...our brains work opposite with caffeine..coffee actually calms us down. My son had cuppa coffee b4 school as a child..lots of creamer.
    I have coffee at night about 1 hr b4 bed...
    Aromatherapy is great for our brains>>> incense sticks/cones..especially naga champa, Patchouli, Black Cherry and Jasmine( Rain is also great) promotes relaxation..clarity..calms the mind into a good mood..
    journaling..always keep a small notebook in purse..car..backpack..gym bag..A larger one at home..on my desk and bedstand. Jot down any negative thoughts coming in..what occurred b4 they triggered and next to each negative thought...replace it with a positive one..
    When you do this regularly it becomes habit..pick a journal you really like..make it special..inviting.
    Your room..or room you spend most time in****
    Choose colors that make you happy..uplift you..if u cant paint walls( renters) Use assessories....bed covers/curtains pillows..posters..wall tapestry. My colors are
    Orange..Red...light rose...Mint green and Lavender..not all at once..lol or maybe if you like.
    Change ups>>> i change my sofa cover, chair cover, curtains often and kitchen towels n rugs. Also bathroom..change it up.
    Moving furniture around..1x month deep clean + change furniture around room while changing color schemes..deep clean when you do this..2 vital actions cleaning n decorating.
    Lastly>>> get a pet.Great for anxiety..focus..helps procrastination. Cats are best..easiest to care for dont smell and are great wgen youre depressed overwhelmed or stuck as we often are in that "fun" paralysis. They dont demand attention like dogs but let u know Hey remember me?
    If you need that constant stimulation like walking the dog numerous x a day..destroying garbage n getting into everything..a dog is it. It takes 4 yrs for a pup to not be as much a pup..even with good training. A dog is perpetually a 2 yr old toddler 4 life.

    Their are a few farms near me that sells raw milk, plus a local grocery store carries raw milk from the local farm that sells it. Been on a semi carnivore diet, still eat some of a standard diet, still on coffee and tea. Used to do the routine you're doing with a few of my own personal twists to it. Now blue light glasses I never thought of that. Will have to check it out and get some to try.
    Another thing to add to your nighttime routine, if you can do it, is to get off your phone and other electronic devices at least 2 hours before you go to bed. It'll help with your cicada rhythm to sleep better. Myself personally am working on getting back into this routine. It worked for me when I was in college and helped me immensely. Also place your phone across the room so you'll not be tempted to pick it up while in bed. Working on that on also.

    So, my grandson was diagnosed. So, my daughter tested and was diagnosed. Hmm... thought maybe I should check. Guess what? I've been in the club for 74 years and didn't even know it was a thing. I just thought I was an f-up. Won't say I had a crappy life, because I didn't all, things considered. But things could have been so much less painful if I would have known. Explains so much. Now I am a 74 year old widower alone with 18 year old cat. Better late than never. And I can better help my grandson.

      It's a tough gig, but we have to continue as we were, and just be our selves, without throwing our life away through mistakes. I was 34 when diagnosed- and I had never heard of adhd innatentive- but I saw I ticked every box without fail- and I realised that was going to explain a whole lot. After the diagnosis in 2014, I friggen cried so hard realising how much hardship I'd been through without knowing why. And I'd been doing very well at work- but I was flat lined every day after work, and it took everything I had every day to work with others.
      But now knowing about it you can seek out the corrective behaviours, and foods. I quit drinking all together a year ago, and am thinking about quitting coffee and even sugar. We need real food, and some actual training exercise, daily. We feel good if we sweat once a day.
      We have to synchronise our body with our mind. We need to stay out of our head, and let the body carry out tasks, without our distracted thoughts and feelings. It takes practice but it can be done. If ten people can do the same job- then I should be able to do my job without my inner monologue. That is how I've found reprieve. It is harder when we're tired, so by the end of the day- our brain needs to ease off. Jake

    WARNING: if you ferment farm raw milk with yogurt cultures at home you are most likely harboring harmful molds and dangerous bacteria in your home-fermented dairy drink. It is safe on the other hand to make home-made kombucha, kimchi, ferment store bought or home-made nut milks (bc unlike dairy, they do not produce such dangerous bacteria during the amateur home fermentation process), Also fermenting vegetables such as beets or dills at home is also safe and healthy. Just steer clear of „raw milk”and its bacteria especially harmful to consume home yogurt or kefir made from dairy in uncontrolled home conditions/temperatures. Research on this is online.

      Research it a bit more and you'll find that pasteurised milk goes off because of all the bad bacteria in it, but raw milk ferments because of the good bacteria in it. Raw milk is much h healthier overall.

    I microdose the amanita muscaria mushroom 🍄 tea I put an ice cube of the tea in a chicken and mushroom pot noodles it's better for focus and energy!

    Good to see you back) Have you heard the latest science about ADHD as a metabolic issue? I've come across it while researching a carnivore diet. I was surprised to know that some doctors and scientists put ADHD in line with cancer, and diabetes, and claim them to be the result of metabolic dysregulation. I have high hopes for a carnivore diet and going to switch to it gradually. By the way, be careful with the liver, as it has huge amounts of nutrients, vitamin A especially, which may cause overdosing.

    Interesting, because if I drink tea or coffee, I get sleepy. I once had fun drinking those free moccas in car garages and had like 3-4 of them and fell asleep on the waiting chair.

    Since i have found that medication has some negative things to gut health i have more started to keep in mind to eat some probiotics. And yes kefir helps some of those side effects that i have got from medication.

    Hi i am a 16yr old student from india.i have bpd, did,severe adhd and ocd and im just a bored loner studyin at home all day or wasting time due to my severe mental health issues and i❤studyin but these are killing my studies ive just ended up with an inefficent yr and a ton of backlogs and again many of days are alredy wasted this year 😭and i live for that dream. i dont have any frens at skool and i dont even like to go there
    They always mistreatreated me even teachers and going there is just a waste of most productive time of my day currently im prepearing for a natinol lvl med entrence exam which is realllyyy harderr then skool exams but its a way towards my dream and im just into that but ive to go that hideous buidling from july to nov to complete my last years attndence😞
    My parents do not understand my mental health issues and say it would be a waste of time to go to a councellor . I tried bunking school or going to a councellor afterschool myself but i have to have a accompnying guardian for a checkup before im 18 if these 1mon(june) is wasted im destroyed and shatterd time is precious for me this is the best i got (summer vacs)
    For my prep what do i do im confused and loosing hope breaking down with every precious day wasted😔
    I thought if everybody around me is 🐍why not tell a stranger my story

    Have you ever been tested for ASD? I’m awaiting assessment for both ADHD and ASD and I’ve been doing lots of research while I’m waiting. I’ve done lots of tests for ADHD and ASD and I score really high on any test I do. I’m asking if you have been tested for ASD because many of the things that describe your life would sit very comfortably with ASD as well as with ADHD. I’m beginning to think that separation of the two conditions is misleading. I think we need a new definition of the whole neurodivergence thing with the Spectrum as a sphere. Individuals may have traits that vary considerably but they are all located somewhere within the body of the sphere. Anyway, I’d be interested to hear your opinion.
    Your videos are brilliant and very inspiring and they’re helping me find my way in life after nearly seven decades of floundering.

    Have you kept up with the same regimen of food and strength training from a year ago? I notice that 3 years ago then one year ago and this one from 3 months ago you look dramatically different…… I also struggle with yo-yo weight…. Up and down and it is specially noticeable on my face….. it goes through like a complete metamorphosis

    Outdoor sports are awesome whenever possible.
    I struggle with jogging, so I dance. It feels great, much more entertaining, challenging with choreographies, rewarding.
    On top of cancelling your gym membership, why did you cancel your beard? 😆
    About Gut health, proper sleep hygiene and habits and daylight cycle, that is mentioned a lot by Andrew Huberman, a neuroscientist.
    So it is really awesome to hear from someone that has ADHD the implementation and all these amazing benefits that come from that.
    (He also has one episode on his podcast here on youtube about ADHD. It`s really awesome.)
    I`m very sensitive to caffeine, so I would usually drink only decaf (very low percentage). But being out of it does feel good, but some days or weeks to be more productive the need for a boost just kicks in in order to not fall sleep during work (specially when coding 😆). And when I consume a lot in a short period of time, it feels too much for my body to process at once and it does give me a very strong high, but can come with a very deep low afterwards.
    Caffeine is a very special stimulant that is common for us, with easy access. But it is very easy to forget how easy it is to create an addiction for it and end up depending on it to function.
    Also for consuming caffeine there are a few tricks, beyond just the amount, related to time, special to avoid the afternoon crash.
    How many days did it take for you to adapt to removing caffeine?
    (I don`t know about personally having ADHD, but as an hyperactive person I`m leaving this comment 😁)

    I tried doing the homemade kefir after having digestion issues with long-COVID. Trouble is, inattentive ADHD had me forgetting to strain it all the time and it died.

Facial hair makes me feel more masculine and confident. Currently I have a short/thin moustache and a decent beard. I hope Stuart bro is able to fight off the alopecia.

    I've not been diagnosed, but the methods, means, attitude you describe, help me. So I ma not begging for a diagnosed, but try töö think and analyse and find the ways which suit me..
    I agree with your list, do same stuff - only exceptions I do not eat raw liver, and not sure that herbal thingy is available here. For me PT means motion w dogs or horses. I do not own these animals, bemefit - less stress and responsibilities.

      I have tried keto diet in the past it is really good for weight loss.
      It also helped me with having more energy and being calm and alert, but its hard to maintain it.
