I got a ole 96 gmc sierra k1500 with all terrain tires on the front and mud tires on the back and over 300,000 thousand miles on the original engine only thing that’s been changed is the tranny but runs great still
I have a 98 Z71 I've been working on, videos like this keep the fire lit to get it finished. This is also one of the few videos I've found of a 90's Z71 so I can't wait to see what all you do with it.
I got a 1996 gmc sierra k1500 with just a little over 300,000 miles on the original engine and still running strong and sounds so good with straight pipes
I've got the VERY same truck!! I love her!!! Chevy truck girl through and through.....my loves - 95 z71, 96 1500, 92 (was my dad's)....84 c -10, 84 dually w 454 and my very 1st truck an 84 S -10 :)
That was my first thought after we got it running because it didn’t like to idle and would bog under load, come to find out the ground from the engine to frame was barely hanging on. Runs good now
Just remembered…I had this issue and I believe it was the crank sensor that had gone bad…it’s been a few years, but I believe that’s what I had to replace…
Good video . I just found your channel and now a sub. I like watching new channels .eager to see them grow. Nice job with limited equipment. Only thing I would say is remember to speak loader. With no external mic it’s a little hard to hear. I do my vids with only a phone , a power shot camera and a go pro type camera. (And it shows. Lol) You’ll make some mistakes but keep going .your already doing a good job . I still have to watch pt 2. Looking forward to it.
Got me a 96' with a 305 have to replace the trans line and brake line and the speed sensor and the well hell I'd be here all day making a list but at least I ain't the only one working on these old trucks.
Great vid! I have a ‘96 with the same motor, trans, etc. These trucks out notorious for electrical issues, so check everything. As for your vid quality, speak louder and maybe switch up camera angles time to time, otherwise you’re doing great.
I know who's truck it used to be i acutely helped the guy an his sister who is my brothers wife. Pull it from paragould to Cardwell It's been in Cardwell I want to say 2 or 3 years. But sitting not running could be 6 years but I know it hasn't been sitting in one spot for 6 years
It’s actually really nice to see people getting these old trucks back and getting them running again love the old OBS trucks old Chevys, all the way

i wouldn't worry about your video quality right now, the more you the make the better they will get. everything will come natural before too long
check the electronic module under the distributor. had mine go out on my 94 and cause no spark

What did you paint your rims with on your ram? 1:05
The truck came with them like that at the dealership. Not sure if they are painted or not

Thanks for the info! We just took an educated guess based off of paperwork left in the truck
What tire size
10 mm tatoo. Hardest wrench to keep up with. At least you will always have one.
