      You know it, my friend! I grew up in my dad’s lawnmower shop…sticking coins in the mufflers when I was little😂 Apparently dad was shocked when he started one up that I had “fixed.” I sure wanna do right by my boy, though. Give him a set of good life skills. Appreciate you for the comment:) God bless!

      Might have been nickel and diming someone and they got tired of putting money into it regularly, or maybe they upgraded from this truck to a better wrecker or even a rollback possibly. Or got out of the need for a dually in general. When they are double the size generally they are double the price to fix.

    I love the find!! My big question is what was wrong with it that made it worth giving up on a truck, It was likely in good condition body wise when parled under the tree. Pluss it has a newish wrecker hook installed. What's the story of it getting parked?

    lovely ol 6.5, wicked rig!
    PMD (pump mounted driver) is the first thing to go, check to see if the stock one is still mounted on the side of the IP. If it is, buy a spare and relocate it. It is likely shot and you'll see some weird stuff happen. Also, that turbo is far too loud for a stock turbo, either its an aftermarket HX35-40 or you have a decent leak somewhere

    • @GrubNGas
      @GrubNGas  Рік тому +1

      @@GrubNGas You are welcome! These engines are stout, if you love ‘em right. my 6.5 has no cats, stock turbo, 4” straight pipe all the way back and it doesn’t have the turbo whistle like that. Perhaps there is a slight difference in the years as mine is a 94, so i could be wrong especially with the stock exhaust.
      Good to hear about the PMD! they are still not fully reliable even when relocated, so i suggest having a spare on hand at all times if you’re going to run this rig.

My 4” is a diamond eye, but they only make their crossover pipe now. I think summit racing sells a full 4” kit all the way back.
