This reminds me of that SCTV sketch about a long-running "Dennis the Menace"-style sitcom that's still on the air despite that the actor is no longer a child (for anyone who wants to look it up, it's called "Oh, That Rusty!")

@@chelseasfilms22 Yes. And RDJ was a cast member on SNL in 1985. It was that really weird season that came after Dick Ebersol's last season (season ten which had Martin Short as a cast member after SCTV ended) and before season 12 (which was the Dana Carvey/Phil Hartman era that made people forget just how weird and mediocre season 11 was).
@@canaisyoung3601 they were shuffling cast members resly fast and apparently RDJ wasn't good with fast pace comedy so thry had to fire him

Anyone who has seen the Saved By The Bell Jimmy Fallon sketch with the cast knows this isn’t true in Hollywood- at least with the amazing cast of Saved By The Bell ! Plus hollywood adult playing teen actors right after the 80’s and my generation ( early 90s Baby ) WERE Adults playing teens so that became the norm and thus so did Botox for every Hollywood star from 80 to 18 that does explain some non aging / shaming of those who did age. I’d watch the He** out of a show of my favorite characters as they aged. Heck that’s all they do now is keep the same people on most shows because they realized the value of keeping an audience that’s aged with them. I wish they’d done this with Saved By The Bell, a continuation with the same characters wether they never ended it - my preference- or they did it 30 days later like on her- BUT thankfully Jimmy Fallon did a reboot with the same original cast- the line reboot TV hasn’t done in the midst of making worse and worse shows as of late wether reboot or new, do they not get we’d rather watch repeats of something we love like SNL than something new we hate, I seriously think they figure more options out there mean less picky but nope, we all still have taste incase you a**holes are watching, and more options means wed rather spend the time we have watching great things not wasting our lives- and not only did the SavedBy The Bell cast age amazing, and look nearly the same as back then ( though it’d be fine if they didn’t they are incredible actors with great chemistry and a great show put all together, we all age so who the F cares- your audience ages with you and those who don’t like me being a bit younger, are still aging right behind you and get it, we got it a decade and 2 decades later and we get it now, but they were hilarious live on Jimmy Fallons Tonight Show and it included Fallon which as a huge SNL / Jimmy Fallon / Saved By The Bell / FAN PLUS FAN OF THIS AMAZING SKIT and the Martins and Selena Gomez ( also for her see where she sends her boyfriend shopping alone as a pretend Netflix spin off ) AND NOW THE epic show of Only Murders In The Building YOU ARE AWESOME FOR WATCHING THIS.
