I still think that anytime Bill Hader hosts a fake game show, he's actually the devil in disguise.
Or the fake Italian interview show. However, this is in noticeable contrast to how lame he actually seems in interviews and newer shows... Funny, but getting boring more quickly. I'm actually just noticing that he's way funnier than I thought to think of him.
@@bfkc111 yeah i love the contrast so much. i would love to see him hosting a game show because he looks so charming in all the skits ( creepy too 😂 ) but in real life he's such a nerd and he would be nervous to do this and all these skits he was just playing his characters. he's such a great actor 😆 love him !!

He was also Vince Blake in the 'What's That Name' sketches, where the he admits he only hosts shows to create chaos.

It's a tricky question, therefore I think Stefon is on top. There should also be John with the cue cards telling Stefon what to do because he's never been on top before.

Hader does a really good game show host impression especially a '60s one
He can play the part and look the part too.
Bill does everything real good.
This era of SNL really doesn't get enough credit for how funny it regularly was. Lots of great sketches from this cast.

They mention Belushi…but I agree the Hader era was my favorite bc it was a really good combo of talent and any performer could carry the sketch.

Absolutely. Other eras had their moments, but this latter-day cast had so much talent. Cecily, Hader, Che & Jost, Mikey, Kenan, Aidy, Kate and Kristen. Boom.

Everybody praises Hader, but real centerpiece here is Baldwin and his excellent and totally fresh performance of creepy guy with some deeeeeep issues.
He looked perfectly normal to me.

Yeah I don't think anyone sane has ever thought that much about it. Especially considering the movie and characters have always been aimed at children.
One of the few good additions to the 2019 version was Pumbaa having a kid next to him in the final scene. Glad they got that image out of my head and replaced it with two warthogs rubbing.

This is my favorite gay humor, it’s not homophobic or using gay stereotype sin a character, it’s just insane speculation in a way that’s deeply messed up and hillarious but also surprisingly wholesome- also this is a game that gay men actually play lol

So true this is the type of stuff my friends and I talk about all the time. Timon and Pumba, Bert and Ernie, those two aliens from Lilo and Stitch and other obviously gay characters from childrens show. Though I disagree with this sketche’s analysis, Timon is obvs a power bottom.
Sorry to break it to you but this is actually homophobic. The whole punchline of the joke is gay men. It's just not aggressively homophobic so it kind of gets a pass. But it is still homophobic and anti-gay.

I don't just love the ridiculousness of this game, but I also love that Alec Baldwin is good at it.
Hakuna Ma-Top , Hakuna Ma-Bottom , Versatility works both ways.

You should probably watch more sketches than. Try "What's That Name?". The sketches are never really the best part of the show anyway. It's the characters that show up on Update because they don't have to worry about writing a situation around them. They just bring them out and say whatever the funniest thing they can think of is. Props for calling them sketches instead of skits like everyone else does.
