I just picked up my new SBE3 this afternoon. Mighty eager to get some shells through it. I picked up some shells...all they had were 7.5' 1 oz loads. If they don't cycle then I'll use 'em up in other guns....was just glad to get my hands on 'em. Super video. I really liked the Hi-Viz and the concept of it helping me lowering my swing a tad. Great video and what an amazing venue.....you have a super view outback.

funnyguyixi unfortunately I do not. But since there is a lack of them, I will tape one and post it ASAP.
In the mean time, refer to SBE II maintenance and disassembly videos for guide on how to take the gun down. (The whole SBE series are very similar).

What is the exact model of the sight that you had installed on your gun.
Love my SBE3! Was a little concerned from switching from my M2, however, after only one pattern test and some testing of the reliability, I can honestly say there is absolutely no disappointment.
Will only deploy my Benelli’s whenever I hunt.
The sight on the SBE 3 in this video is the HI VIZ M-Series Magnetic Sight system. The model that fits the SBE’s and M2’s is the M300. I found it to be a great sight, but it does shift position under heavy recoil, so a dab of your favorite super glue may be necessary to keep it in place when hunting. I actually lost this sight on a duck hunt last December while firing at Mallards.
I also recommend the TRUGLO GLO DOT front bead (currently what I have installed on my SBE3). It secures with 3M tape and seems to be a more durable option for hunting.

I know you made your sling, but can you recommend a good sling for an SBE3? This is my first gun I bought, super excited to use it in the field! thanks
There are a ton of para-chord sling makers out there, and I don’t have one i can recommend from experience since I make my own. I can however recommend the Claw slings. I bought one for my Benelli Vinci in 2016 and have used it on all of my duck and goose guns at some point. It currently lives on my 10ga. It has been a workhorse and is very comfortable to carry heavier shotguns with due to it’s large rubberized pad. The strapping and swivels have faired well over 4-1/2 seasons and we have a smaller second one that lives on my wife’s muzzleloader and 20ga.
Honestly, if it’s made in the USA, looks to be good quality and passes the double “snap” test in store, it’ll probably serve you well. Para-chord slings are still my favorite though. Hope this helps!

I did the spring upgrades like you did and it does not like light trap loads. However, she cycles in the frigid temps like a boss even after 3 boxes of federal speed shok 3" #2
What kind of trap loads are you using? I have had reliable cycling with the enhanced power springs with loads as light as 1oz 2-1/2 Dram Eqv. 1150 FPS. My SBE however had about 1,750 shells through it before I swapped into the new spring and the action was pretty well broken in.

thumper49802 strange, i’ve used a boat load of the same shell and been good to go on cycling. Maybe with higher round count you will get it to cycle with the heavy springs. Like I said, my action was pretty slick from wear when I swapped into the heavy springs

David Kirkpatrick yes they do! Just didn’t think the style would match the SBE 3’s character. (I think the RR bolt handle looks best on the M2 and SBE/SBE II)
Just a firsthand user experience with the +25% Wolf Springs. Had a Benelli M1 Super 90 that started having cycling issues that I narrowed down to the buffer/action spring becoming weak. Replaced it with the Wolff Spring and worked great for about 150-200 rounds and it was done. Granted 98% of those rounds were 3" waterfowl loads but still the spring was spent. Replaced it with another Wolff 25% and same thing. 150-200 rounds and it was spent. Ordered one more and laid them side by side old/new and the old was approximately 5" permanently compressed/shortend versus the new. So if you start having issues with cycling after 150-200 rounds your spring is sprung lol
That is very strange that you experienced multiple springs set that quickly. I’ve fired about 2,000+ shells through the SBE3 with
the Wolff +25% springs installed with no setting occurring. Did you ever talk to Wolff about your issue? It sounds like you got 3 out of the same bad batch.
@@AmericanArmsChannel no never contacted them. Just thought it was weird and disheartening with the reputation I've read about their springs that I'd get 3 that all done the same thing. Will admit when I replaced the 3rd I replaced EVERY spring in the firearm...the inertia spring, buffer spring, firing pin spring, all of them. Still around the 200 round mark same issue would start again. It was very strange. I also thought about it being a bad batch but also figured surely after a 2 year span they'd have worked through them. Just left me at a loss for words lol. I've since sold that one and will be picking up a SBE3 in the next couple weeks for the snow goose conservation season. Like your channel btw keep up the good work
Glenn Pennington well, that sucks that you had a bad experience. Thanks for sharing it. I would have written or called Wolf about it. It seems that even under the very worst of conditions it should take a higher round count than 200 to experience a tension failure.

They are both +25% in power over factory standards.
Does that xp power recoil spring reduce recoil ? Can you tell a difference? Thinking about getting one for my sbe 3 ! Love it , and also have a magnum 1982 browning .love how the sbe shoots a lil high that way My barrel never covers up target ! Most hunters don’t understand but I do 😆😁 plus ppl need to understand you need to learn and adapt to your shotgun .... know your shotgun..
The extra power springs do not reduce primary recoil, but they do retard the bolt enough to prevent it from slamming into the rear of the receiver with full force, reducing secondary recoil.
American Arms Channel so basically that after punch with 3 1/2 shells? And that hammer spring , does it make trigger lighter ?
JohnDoeGlo Gloku you will not see any reduction in secondary recoil with 3-1/2” shells and heavy 3” loads. The hammer spring does not make the trigger lighter, but it takes the creep out of it (if there is any) and it increases reliability of primer ignition.
For the hevi shot chokes is the medium range one like a modified and the extreme range one like a full ? I’m debating the hevi choke combo or a jebs full choke for all ranges close and far
Bassman99 yes, the ER is a Full and the MR is a Modified. In my experience, the HeviShot offerings prefer tighter chokes to hold more consistent patterns, so I makes sense that Hevi-Shot decided to go with the tighter constructions. I would say any full choke that patterns well can serve as an all around tube, with limitations overcome by proper shot size choice.

Bassman99 I can’t provide any insight on the Jebb’s Choke Tube offerings as I have no experience with them. In my experience however, #3 shot will generally pattern very tight out of Modified, Improved Modified and Full chokes, with more sparse patterns than should be generated out of Improved Cylinder. Speedball should not make a difference in this regard.
Either choke you choose should fare well. If you are looking for performance on a budget, Carlson/ Hevi-Shot chokes are the way to go ($40-55 each on average) where as one Jebb’s or Pattern Master will run twice as much and most likely not pattern any better.

Be careful with those +25% resistance inertia springs. They can cause your gun to not cycle when shooting light loads like 2 3/4" target loads.
DTClen Wolff Springs does warn about that, and it really comes down to the individual gun and whether or bot it has been smoothed out from lots of firing or not. My SBE 3 functions perfectly with loads as light as 1oz/ 2-1/2 Dram with the +25% action spring installed.

Cow6oysfan21 unfortunately, no. I have shot a lot of Winchester USA white box ammo through it though and that worked beautifully.
American Arms Channel they were pretty cheap at Walmart today I picked up four boxes for dove season if the weather Holds Tomorrow going to go trap shooting with it first time doing it.
I have a super vinci and it gives me trouble even with the 1 1/8 oz 3 dram eq. loads i sent it back to benelli because it was giving me so much trouble. thinking about getting a sbe3, what do you think?
tyler thompson that’s a shame it gave you such trouble. In my experience, the Vinci series is incredibly reliable and versatile. I have used down to 1oz 1145fps loads without issue in my Vinci. I suppose there is something there to look at and see what is happening with yours (feel free to PM me, as I may be able to help).
Long story short, I would absolutely recommend the SBE3 to anyone wanting a traditionally styled waterfowling piece.
I own and love both the Vinci and the SBE3, but each has a unique set of features that set it apart. One thing that is an absolutely marvelous part of the the SBE3 is the combtech cheekpiece in the stock. Once you shoot with it for a little while, you will be hard pressed to find other shotguns’ combs comfortable to fire lots of rounds through ever again. It really does make the recoil feel 10x less on your face.
Between the two, I would say stick with or get whichever fits you best and points the best. I personally love the Vinci series and it fits me slightly better than the SBE3, BUT, I like shooting the SBE3 and I almost always take the SBE3 Hunting now over the Vinci. So the real answer is to buy and hunt with both. Haha.
I shoot 3 gun with my sbe3 and it cycles low recoil slugs and super light 2 3/4 trap loads

The only thing I don't like about gun is the non round end cap. Looks untraditional ..can I get a traditional round end cap for it?
david yes, any Super Black Eagle, SBE 2 or SBE 3 end cap will fit the shotgun. They are all the same thread pattern

Colby B. Fantastic! Congrats on your new SBE 3! My thoughts on the Vinci series is that it is an excellent design and functions beautifully. I love my Vinci, but do tend to take the SBE3 hunting more often just out of preference. The Vinci series wont have the older Comfortech Plus system, but it does mitigate felt recoil well. The inline action design and simple assembly procedure make cleaning a snap. Further, the design of the Vinci makes a natural pointer and nimble between the hands. Really, the Vinci is under-appreciated, and the only updates it could use is the new Comfortech 3 system.
In short, the Vinci is an excellent choice. Just make sure your father likes it and it fits him when he mounts it.
The Vinci is a really nice firearm. The only downside is the take down and cleaning. But it's a Benelli. Cleaning is optional.
Buy the super Vinci for yourself, you can thank me later 🤙🏼

David Kirkpatrick that camo is from the factory. It’s called “Gore Optifade Timber.”
Benelli also offers the SBE3 in Gore Optifade Marsh, Realtree Max5, and Mossy Oak Bottomlands.
So i looked up the recoil spring for the +25 and says its only for the M1 super 90 series? Also what other spring did you replace besides recoil. Also what size nordic extension did you go with 6+?
All Super Black Eagles, the M2, M3, and M4 are Super 90 Series guns. In fact many internal parts are still interchangeable between all models. I also replaced the factory hammer spring with the +25% one by Wolf to decrease Lock Time and increase reliable ignition of primers (not that it was ever a problem).
For the Nordic Components extension tube, I did go with the +6 Vinci kit, and bought a Super 90 series nut for the tube when I got the SBE 3. I like staying under the barrel for balance and compactness, but you can easily go to +9 with the 28” barreled SBE 3

thumper49802 sweet deal! I love my extension tube kit on the SBE 3. It has proven a killer combo during conservation snow goose season.
I replaced my action spring simply to make the action work faster and more reliably in harsh conditions on the return stroke. It has also helped to mitigate secondary recoil of the bolt bouncing abruptly off the rear of the receiver by slowing it down on the extraction by just a touch. Most guys are running the factory action spring just fine though. For $20 though, never hurts to try out.

thumper49802 there is no perceived recoil reduction by swapping the spring to a higher poundage with shells greater than 3-1/4 Dram Eqv. So all 3 and 3-1/2” magnums will still slam the bolt back pretty hard and eject very positively. The real benefit with the magnums is a more positive feeding and return to battery.
That said, reliability with as low as 1oz 2-1/2 Dram Eqv. shells has not been diminished with the stronger spring. This is where the benefit of not having the secondary recoil from the action is noticeable and especially nice with the lower power shells.

ever consider replacing the bolt release button?
natalie velasquez not for my personal example. I find the release button to be the right size and not something I would change on the SBE 3. BUT, the new performance shop version does have an enhanced release button. Other shotgun models, such as most earlier Beretta and Benelli offerings, work much better with enhanced releases.

natalie velasquez currently they are not offering it, but I would not be surprised if they did offer it in the future. How far out that may be will depend on demand and how the new Performance shop SBE 3 sells. I don’t know of any aftermarket offerings currently.
Unfortunately you can not simply swap in an aftermarket SBE II bolt release because the bolt release and double hinged shell catch were changed for the SBE 3 in order to assist unloading from the magazine tube and accommodate the larger release button/lever.
However, if you are looking for a speedier or “simpler” manner of sending the bolt home on a fresh shell in the cold or with gloved hands, you can use the method a lot of inertia gun owners discover; “force feeding”. This method simply requires you force a cartridge down onto the lifter with your the finger tips of your off hand, or thumb of your dominant hand. Instead of using the release lever, you are using the rim of the shotshell to trip the bolt lock open. Once you remove your fingers or thumb the action will slam home. Fear not though, as the action will not slam home fast or hard enough to jam on your hand or gloves. In fact, the shell itself will help force your hand out of the ejection port as you release pressure from it. I have used this “forced feeding” method many times in the field for a quick 4th shot on retreating birds and it works wonders!

Chase Wentz absolutely love it. It has been exceptional in every aspect and I rarely take my Vinci out for waterfowl anymore. Final thoughts video is planned but no prediction on when I will be able to record and post it.
2,500 plus rounds of all types so far and no issues. It’s a winner in my book.

Chase Wentz I can from experience recommend the Code Black series from Pattermaster, the Patternmaster Classic Long Range,and the Carlson Cremator/Hevi-Shot Hevi-Choke (a rebranded Carlson tuned for Hevi-Shot products).
I will also say I have witnessed great patterns and good hunt performance out of the Anaconda from Patternmaster, and the Kick’s High Flyer long range.
Honestly though, try out your new SBE3 with the factory IC and Mod extended crio-chokes with the shells of your choice. You may find that they do everything you need them to.

Chase Wentz no, a different choke will not bring the point of impact down. Make sure you have adjusted the drop and cast of the stock so that only the beads are visible, and the mid bead is inside of the front bead (not stacked like a snowman). Remember that Benelli’s are regulated to shoot “high” with a 60/40 to 70/30 pattern split on most. Because of this, remember to float the bird above the gun and you will knock them dead every time.
If you continue to have issues with the hight of the patterns, which may occur if the gun shoots a 80/20 or 90/10 split, you have two choices:
1) send it in to Benelli for adjustment
2) put a bigger and or taller front bead on the gun.

Is there a upgrade that will cause them to shoot where you aim them. Oh that's right Europe shotguns are suppose to shoot two foot high and either right or left. Unlike the far less kicking low cost mossberg that shoots where you aim it

@AmericanArmsChannel I really don't but. I have bought two benelli and one browning gold.that all three shot way of off point of aim. When contacting them they said that's European style . So I bought a 930 mossberg that hits right where I'm aiming and also just happens to kick about 1/2 as much. I am of the idea that if you took a plastic turkey gun gave it a catching name and charged three times what it was worth idiot's would lime up to buy it. Have it repaired 3 or 4 times a year and swear by it. Never ever heard of anyone carrying around a BACKUP shotgun until these European pos hit the market
@AmericanArmsChannel not meaning to beat a dead horse but if you want proof go look at bone collector Waddell. They taking a 250 dollar turkish import putting a red dot mount and a choke in it a selling them for 1500 as thier turkey gun. Dumb asses buying them faster than they can screw the chokes in and sell them
@@jerrodladner3019 jokes aside, I’m sorry to hear you had a poor experience with those models. I too have had issues with a Browning product. I do however have 4 Benelli’s and all have been very good to me. The one that required servicing only needed it after 6 years and 5-6k+ rounds through it. Benelli’s customer service was quick and efficient and I received back a 100% functional product.
The truth is no brand or product line is free from flaws or poor customer service experiences. Benelli has made some mistakes, Browning has made many, but so has Mossberg or Remington, and many others.
Bottom line is, use what works for you and makes you happy at the end of the day.

Nak while a very nice gun, and extremely reliable, I do believe the Maxus would be a “downgrade” from the SBE 3. Just Saying!!! 😛
I got both, sbe blows it outta the water and im a browning guy... plus the maxus sucks asss to clean

Travis Burt I am not one of those people, haha.
People do not like things to be different. Most hunters in the US do not actually know how to wingshoot, and we’re most likely taught to aim their shotgun at birds with the bead. Americans in general are riflemen, not wingshooters, and so they treat their shotguns like rifles. So, when you put a gun that shoots high to poa when using the bead like a sight, they get frustrated. the SBE 3 is perfect in every way but one, and that one thing is meeting the pre-conceived expectation of a shotgun shooting like a rifle.
The same thing happens even when Benelli released guns like the Vinci and the SBE II where the patterns were about 60/40 to 70/30. A certain vocal percentage bought the guns and after the “new shotgun effect” wore off (the short period of time where you just can’t miss with a new gun in your hands because you are hyper focused on the target like you should be and not the gun), found out they patterned different and were not willing to learn how to shoot their new guns and instead decided to complain that it was the guns fault for missing.
I have seen it a number of times. The problem is, once someone decides they can not use a certain tool, they typically will never use it again or learn how to use it again. No matter what you tell them.
2500 CAD for a gun and it needs an upgrade....
Did you listen to what I said in the video? These are upgrades that are nice to have if you want them. They are not necessary.
