Big fan of the channel, guys. Just bought an SBE 3 and loved using it the first time in the field. It was baptized in a rain shower while sitting in marsh conditions and performed beautifully. Cleaning after the hunt was very easy as well for a semi-auto. Keep up the videos as I have enjoyed watching almost all of them!
Beretta A400 Unico would be a comparable alternative. Pros: will eat anything you put in it. My best friend shoots clays with his and never a problem with light field loads. A little less expensive. Wood is an option. Cons: Warranty 2+1 years. Funny Beretta owns Benelli, Franchi, and Stoeger. They all have better warranties than Beretta. Only maintenance needed on the Beretta A400s after 10k+ rounds was a new hammer spring (due to occasional light firing pins strikes) and recoil spring with the later being at my discretion. The cadence of this guy’s speech is so interesting. He starts most of his sentences speaking at about 40 mph and by the end of his point he’s down to about 5 mph.
That mid bead looks a bit chintzy and at 7:27 the cut out line on the left looks really ruff. Mind you I keep thinking of the 828U when I think Benelli... :) Not really a fair comparison I guess.
A lot of people in the states have complained about POI issues with this gun, many have sent their guns back others try to use shims to compensate, others say it's how the gun was designed. I would be interested to know what you see if you get a chance to shoot one.
I bought one a few weeks ago and sent it back last week. Very disappointed in how high it shot. I asked in an email a couple weeks before I ordered it if they had fixed the problem. Benellis answer "For the most part the incidence of the problem has been resolved" not really an answer I was looking for. Still went ahead with the purchase and wish I didn't. It arrives to them tomorrow and I will update when I get it back.
from what I've heard they've told people that it's in there spec so you're supposed to be happy with 90/10 or they put a different front sight and send to back. If it doesn't come back shooting very different than it did I guess I'll be selling it.
I've heard the same, tell people it's designed to shoot high with you floating the target above the bead. Others say after they get them back they shoot great so who knows, just seems like some inconsistency from Benelli that people aren't used to.
That looks like a really nice bit of kit. I can't see myself shooting geese though; I think my wheelchair might sink in the mud!!!

Great review! The shroud attached to the barrel is a great idea but I think the Retay company thought of that one first.

Same gun. Just look different and the M2 won’t shoot 3.5” shells.
The SBE3 shoots high due to the jellyfish stock. Benelli should quit trying to build a better shotgun. They haven't yet.
