ya i figured he wouldn’t say anything but it make a big difference. i took mine and had them drill holes in the barrel, took the recoil down a lot

If someone’s favorite feature is a sight then I don’t trust their opinion on the performance 😂

That lengthened forcing cone from the factory is what sold me as aftermarket modifications require a lot of upkeep to prevent rusting.

Let me boil this down for you.
    Rob Roberts SBE3 $2800
    Forcing cone lengthen - $75
    3 Chokes Comp Pattern - $250
    Triple Threat Chokes - $255
    Trigger work - $100
    Parts Polish - $60
    Slammer Button - $95
Patriot Cerakote - $250 ($400 if Sitka furniture included)
    Sling - $50
    Shipping there and back $90
    $1225 ($1375) total service.
    Regular SBE3 $1850
Would be $3075 ($3225)to buy and send in (plus 4 month wait)
So you get way more value than you claim.

And I just sold it because it jammed and had light primer strikes.

@@OutdoorsActual never had an issue like that. Had it several times with Browning guns tho. Just had to send a wicked wing back. You realize RR backs these guns for Benelli. You just call him up and he fixes them quickly. Then again, never heard of any issue with these custom shops. With regular SBE3s I have.

Our 20ga RR doesn't cycle well either

      @flyingirish31 Рік тому

@@OutdoorsActual what does it not cycle well with? Have you contacted RR? Benelli? Everyone has lemons don’t get me wrong but yours are the first I’ve heard with cycling issues that are custom shops. I’m sure there are others. But it’s a bit odd you haven’t contacted anyone about it.

      Hunting 4s.
I just take one of my SBE2s that both cycle everything flawlessly.

I sent a new M2 straight to Rob Roberts for forcing cone, polished action, trigger job and slammer button. I didn't bother with the sight on the M2 but have done the same on 2 used SBE IIs and installed the sights myself. I run the T2' chokes most of the time. That M2 is by far is the BEST shooting shotgun I've ever fired! Never had issues with rust in the barrel. I agree the Performance Shop prices are extreme and I was happy I found my way directly to RR. I'd also add Benelli customer service has always been pretty responsive when I've had an issue. Been running Benellis since 1993.

You can adjust your drop with the shims that are supplied that will bring the pattern down to 60/40. Had to drop mine to the C shim and it shoots good but out of the box was a foot or better high.

It’s the forcing cone lengthened and polished and the machining that’s in it

I'll buy another, have one in 20 guage. Right out of the box it shot way high and left. Shoots dead on after changing the shims.

These guns are designed to shoot like this! Your suppose to use Kentucky windage and aim 6 inches to the right and Calabrese elevation and aim two feet low! If you spend enough on marketing no one will care where it shoots!

My Waterfowler came new with a crooked sight. It was disgusting, a real turn off for an armament costing so stupid much! I was going to send it back in as Benelli requested but then I was going to have it really tuned by my shotgunsmith. He did such a good job that any new shotgun I get goes to him. He addressed the super sharp edges of the "custom" *Performance Shop* gun and now I can insert shells without cutting my thumbs or my gloves! I am not expecting to buy another Benelli (unless they come out with a 10 gauge). Then again I have all of the Benelli's I am ever going to need except I wished I had bought that special edition M2 for competition when it first came out circa 2009 because our illustrious NONINFRINGING government rendered the extended tube competitor non-importable.

I probably wouldn’t ever know, I dunno if I’ve ever really put the front sight on something, just always shoot them by feel. Pretty sure folks could by a stupid giant hi-viz sight for 20 bucks and slap it on any shotgun. Whew that top one is a sweet lookin treat though

I have the three and I hate it. I was super excited for it and it has ended up being such a let down. Mine shoots high and left somewhat considerably. Thought about selling it but it was a gift so it just stays in the safe and I use my h&k sbe 1. Benelli made the perfect gun the first time around.

Yep, the first ones were and are fantastic! Mounts and shoots spot on very naturally. After making the dreadful mistake of selling mine, I inherited my Dad's and I am so elated to one of the first eds once again.

Everyone claiming the guns shoot high or left needs to be fitted for the drop and cast of a gun.
