"Worst day logging ever"... Hey man, all your people went home alive with all their body parts. There's an awful lot of loggers out there who's worst day didn't end nearly as well. It sucks that your equipment got damaged but congratulations on having a pretty good worst day. Thanks for posting this. You help people out too by showing good decision making. First impulse "I can fix this" - deeper thought and consideration says, "I should probably get some expert help". Again, kudos.
Bummer John...😕 So glad nobody was hurt! This day and job will always be remembered...Alot of damage on the Old Girl for just a quick look over. I am assuming there will be more unseen issues. Keep the chin up and enjoy your Thanksgiving!
She must have been carrying some speed when she went in. That's a lot of bent metal. Good call for the wreckers, they have a lot of positions to pick from.
I am glad no one got hurt. But I bet that operator had to dig some seat cushion out of his hind parts when he got home. What a ride! I hope you get another machine, by the time you put the money in that one you will find it would have been cheaper to find one ready to go. And you will still have an old loader/ slasher.
It worked out in the end, glad you went with the wrecker guys ,hope the slasher can be fixed quickly ,from the items you mentioned almost all seemed to be fixable with new parts and some hydraulic jacks, except your counter weight that seems to be the most difficult to replace.
"Just roll with it" even if it includes two recovery wreckers to make it possible. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the kiddos John!! Glad no one was injured during the fiasco!!
The 2 skidders was a good idea BUT that's EXACTLY what rotators are made for. Nobody was seriously hurt and metal can be bent back. Just cover the turbo exhaust and it might be a good thing to think about running an air line so you could use the brakes on the carrier. Pump it up off the grinder compressor so you could put a little drag on the down hill grades. Might work. Just go get GOOMER HUGGED and remember how yall are BLESSED tomorrow. GBWYall from Us Tarheels! And Bobby Goodson has a NEW one!
Them old barkos. Were top heavy for sure. I remember back in 90 's. Pulling. Stumpjumpers just down normal roads. Behind the road horse. And damm think would make nervous it would rock and tip all over the place. Never mind on icy hill towing with grapple. That. Sucks.
@m9 ovich True and maybe not. I've got a pal in Tenn. that has a 70 ton that re-rails cars. They're amazing. I thought one might be because of where the loader was with a compound lift but maybe not.
that will buff right out. glad everyone was ok, thought maybe something was up, in the last video caught a brief second of a wrecker going by. that was a good job of recovery.
You are not having much luck on those 2 job are you, I wouldn't buy a Lotto ticket at the moment the way your lucks going, the main thing is no one was injured and we all learn from these thing, stay safe John and crew and have a great Thanksgiving with your families come back refreshed and ready to do battle.
Glad everyone is ok. Maybe a little ego/ pride is damaged but with some minor ok maybe major adjustments it'll be rollin in no time. Just need the BFH John.
The best part of that deal was luckily nobody was killed or badly hurt . Those guys on the wreckers were real good to get that out. That frames going to take some real work to twist back, you've got to go way past straight the opposite way to even get it to sit right. Then kind of de stress it so it don't gradually creep back, or just start again building a new frame. With the issues she's had recently and now this major accident, I'd be thinking Insurance if it's covered and bye bye . They might write it off depending how much it would cost to fix it right for an old machine anyway. It's not funny this happening, but Jewish lightening came up last week to get rid of it, maybe the lord does work in mysterious ways after all. Maybe Mike could get the phone number from Wade where he got the feller buncher from, that was a nice looking machine he drove past in the yard on the way to look at his . Thanks for the video hopefully you and the crew stay safe the rest of the week, after this.
Sorry you're having a such a tough past few days. Makes for good youtube content though! Hopefully yall will get things in order and next week will roll on without issue.
a little bit of oil makes a big mess. I saw some bent parts but no leaking motor oil or coolant. Exhaust stack. Cast Iron is cantankerous to weld even if the parts got found in the ditch. But thats a good excuse to look in the cold iron pile to see if there is a spare in the back row . Good thing you chose to video going the other direction. might have been a short bumpy ride a different kind of leaking fluids in the cab
Dam buddy, Thank goodness you weren't ridding in it when it happened. And Thank goodness Nobody else got hurt. Maybe she will have to just get retired. Take care and good luck!!😀😀 Your friend Al.
You will resurrect that, it’s all steel. We crashed a tractor once. Was a very high hour tractor but it landed on it roof smashed it completely. Cab was hard got and expensive. And the tractor didn’t deserve it. We just straightened it with pulling chains and stuck glass back into it
Glad no one was hurt I remember a video not to long ago you were in the barco wile the skidder was towing you imagine if you were in it that would have been a bad day happy Thanksgiving
Time to call the insurance company and make a claim. That is a whole lot of twisted metal. I am sure it could be repaired, but this may be the time to think replacement. Best Wishes
That machine that's mounted on the trailer is inherently unstable !.... Not surprised that it went off the road.... 90% of the weight is behind the centre line of the bogie. Who built that thing like that !??
I would call for some chains. A set of double diamonds would have worked wonders on those skidders. No sliding, come right out of the ditch, pulled the chipper with just one. Expensive but maybe less than an upset crane.
I like your videos but it’s tough to hit the like button on this one. Glad no one was hurt and steel can be repaired or replaced. Happy thanksgiving. 🇺🇸
Oh boy, now I see why you said you had to tell yourself to just keep rolling.... that’s one heck of a way to just keep rolling! Haha! But no, seriously. Glad nobody got hurt and y’all recovered it ok. She might be a little worse for wear, but nobody got hurt.
Great videos, keep it up. I would only suggest to try to maintain a medium voice level, sometimes I cant hear you at all, sometimes it's like you're yelling in my ear.
I’ve never flipped one but the last job I had my equipment on I was riding in a 240b tigercat across an amateur built pipe crossing. It had a curve to it and my ex skidded man who was also the one who built it dragged me across it and almost threw me into the river. I had one tire still on the bridge which is what kept me from going in. Then when I pulled out of the same job it almost turned the machine and my Mack truck over. That’s when we fired that guy.
Ow John, Even though, da ole Barko, "took er in da shorts" alittle bit, she survived, to slash another day. A. Hope U and your family have a nice Thanksgiving.
Why haven't you guys put chains on those skidders already? Here in PA we're still all mud, but it looks to me like you should have those skidders chained up being its as frozen as it is. All the same it's one of those days you wish never happened.

Your pride wants to fix the problem but you used your experience to make the call, bravo!
John you have been havin some bad luck buddy it will get better my friend hope you had a great thanksgiving, glad no one is hurt
thankyou for sharing, don't know how you stay so calm!
Coming out was a relief I'm sure. Boss man. Great job.
Sorry about your luck man. Just glad no one got hurt. The machine can be fixed or replaced!!
You need to make 2 phone calls 1) 1-800-scrap iron 2)hello Barko LOL Good Luck John
Hope all is well & u get back login soon!
Bummer John...😕
So glad nobody was hurt! This day and job will always be remembered...Alot of damage on the Old Girl for just a quick look over. I am assuming there will be more unseen issues.

tire chains on the equipment thats all i gotta say. have a great thanksgiving with your family.

Not good John, but glad no one was hurt. Hopefully everything will get fix without to big of headache. Good luck hang in there buddy
"Just roll with it" even if it includes two recovery wreckers to make it possible. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the kiddos John!! Glad no one was injured during the fiasco!!
Make sure the insurance premiums are paid up and burn it! Glad no one got hurt, that's the main thing. Thanks for the video.

You did right calling the experts.
I believe there’s lot more damage then you think. Bad day but glad nobody went to the hospital.... Have a great thanksgiving!!!
Situations like this are what make your days interesting and exciting! Me personally I like quiet boring routine days... But to each their own!
that will buff right out. glad everyone was ok, thought maybe something was up, in the last video caught a brief second of a wrecker going by. that was a good job of recovery.
Salvage what parts you can, send the rest to scrap and pick up a new one. That frame is toast
Dang buddy that is messed up, I feel you buddy. I hope you can get it going top notch again.
Lu
Glad everyone is ok. Maybe a little ego/ pride is damaged but with some minor ok maybe major adjustments it'll be rollin in no time. Just need the BFH John.
looks like a very well maintained piece of machinery...
Glad everyone is ok. And time for a new one
You had to bring in the BIG recovery trucks, that was costly . Have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR . JAN 1 2020 now
Glad no one was hurt. I loved working on machines that had been rolled would have loved to work on getting it back to work
The best part of that deal was luckily nobody was killed or badly hurt . Those guys on the wreckers were real good to get that out. I know that was a lot of trouble but that was a great video.

Sorry John, but I think that it is beyond fixing. Looks like a huge pile of parts and scrap to me. Stay safe out there!
Dam buddy, Thank goodness you weren't ridding in it when it happened. And Thank goodness Nobody else got hurt.
Maybe she will have to just get retired.
Take care and good luck!!😀😀
Your friend Al.
Common Al!!! It will be stackin logs next week!! Can’t kill the old Barko
@@ThatChipperGuy :) I know you're right. Probably Looks worse than it is. Give her a little TLC.
Take care buddy!!!
Ya right no loggers retire equipment
Forsale one Barko loader....cheap.All kidding aside, the important part is nobody got hurt, loaders are a dime a dozen.
Nobody got hurt and that's the main thing. Might be time to consider a newer slasher machine. Sorry for that problem you guys are having
Time to get that new one now lol.
Wow!! That's crazy. Glad no one got hurt
You will resurrect that, it’s all steel. We crashed a tractor once. Was a very high hour tractor but it landed on it roof smashed it completely. Cab was hard got and expensive. And the tractor didn’t deserve it. We just straightened it with pulling chains and stuck glass back into it
MIGHT BE TIME TO TELL MIKE THAT JOHN NEEDS AN EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT....
Glad no one was hurt I remember a video not to long ago you were in the barco wile the skidder was towing you imagine if you were in it that would have been a bad day happy Thanksgiving
Oh Man! Dont ya'll just hate it when those tire chains just dont work like how those tire chains is be designed to work!
Time to call the insurance company and make a claim. That is a whole lot of twisted metal. I am sure it could be repaired, but this may be the time to think replacement. Best Wishes
Glad everyone is ok keep us updated on it.
Ouchy. Sorry to see that happen. Chains wouldve stopped that from happening. Glad nobody got hurt. Cant somebody load it on a trl like that
Ouch that's a tough one to take on the chin especially now when it's freezing up and it's time to move wood. hope you get it figured out soon.
Some thing exiting everday. Not a dull moment like i said murphy law what will happen will john u need a vacation
I was curious how you were going to get it out. Can do more damage getting it out than happened during the wreck.
I'm glad nobody was hurt, machine can be fixed or replaced, nobody's life can be, be safe
Good luck, it's a major welding job. On a better note, happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
You guys dont use tire chains ? Sure would make things go a lot easier .
Chain them Skidders.
That machine that's mounted on the trailer is inherently unstable !.... Not surprised that it went off the road.... 90% of the weight is behind the centre line of the bogie. Who built that thing like that !??
Well I wonder why they make tire chains. Huhhhm?? Wow that was slick!! And expensive
Happy Thanksgiving
What, no lockers on that truck?
Oh boy, now I see why you said you had to tell yourself to just keep rolling.... that’s one heck of a way to just keep rolling! Haha! But no, seriously. Glad nobody got hurt and y’all recovered it ok. She might be a little worse for wear, but nobody got hurt.
I think freight liner could profit and learn from you guys on how to build trucks. I don't think many people use trucks so severe duty as you do.
and they use raod trucks even, good job as they seem to hold up good. heavy duty trucks would be better to use, but they are heavy and cost much more.
hopefully y'all will have a better day tomorrow and happy Thanksgiving to all of y'all and have a blessed day.....
That looks bad Mr John. I wouldn't wish that loader problem on anyone.
Is the frame bent.hope every body ok.tks gary
We're are you at in Michigan?
Must be from Lower Michigan, we in th UP know how to do things right!
Wow John this video made my butt pucker a bit at least no one got hurt well any way have a great Thanksgiving
I remember starting the old John Deere skidder up on cold morn.
Great videos, keep it up. I would only suggest to try to maintain a medium voice level, sometimes I cant hear you at all, sometimes it's like you're yelling in my ear.

Praise God everyone was not hurt in accident and recovery
Love the truckin stuff lol
😂
is it honestly worth repairing or better off replacing it with a newer one?
Mark Peck it really depends on the crew back at there shop
looks likes your going get your new loader !!!!!!
How come that 6x6 trucks are not more common over there? They are all over the wood industry in Europe.
How did that roll over?
What's the story, no need for tire chains on the skidders ?
Sorry for your bad day I hope you have a better thanksgiving
Ow John, Even though, da ole Barko, "took er in da shorts" alittle bit, she survived, to slash another day. A. Hope U and your family have a nice Thanksgiving.
Ouch!! Good job getting her out .
Why haven't you guys put chains on those skidders already? Here in PA we're still all mud, but it looks to me like you should have those skidders chained up being its as frozen as it is. All the same it's one of those days you wish never happened.
Glad everyone is ok and not hurt.
no body hurt great equipment can be fixed keep your chin up and push on
chain up them skidders , i have chains on my rear axles and its a major plus.
Whatever happened to this slasher?
Looks to me you better count you're blessings that no one got hurt. The machine can be fixed or replaced but human life can't. Happy Thanksgiving
how many got fired?
The downtime without a crane is what sucks ,been there done that .
will it fit on your float ? float it back and deal with it there.
Seems like I watched a video about how much you hated that Barko just the other day. Next thing I know it ends up in the ditch! 😮
Well thats a fine pickle. Looks like time maybe for new used loader and slasher to replace this old girl use her for parts
Tire chains?
Man you guys need to but some iron on them skidders and you'd have better luck
About time, been waiting all day
👍👍👍
just keep rolling john...lmao...
Next time, u should put the legs down,at least 6 inches from the road. It can prevent roll over like this.
You should stand closer to this steel tow cable !!!!
I thought I was the only one that had that kind of luck. I hate to see this.
This equipment has so high center of gravity that it is very dangerous on public roads when it’s towed around?
You made the right call, that was a deep ditch! Glad no one was hurt
Won’t take much and it’ll be backup and running again old machines don’t quit
