It's funny; there's almost too much to say. What I wanted, I got, in spades. (BTW, looks like the boo-boo is healing nicely.) Hard to keep it from getting personal, but I'll take a shot. I was sort of figuring you hadn't heard this one-it seems like practically nobody did. This was after the mighty Empire record and since there was no second coming of "Silent Lucidity", the hangers-on dropped off and band members started being unkind to each other. This song was always the end of the (purist) Queensryche line for me, and thirty years later, it hits harder now than it did then. I will say that if you have occasion to do anything off "Operation: Mindcrime", you probably want to listen to the whole thing. It's a concept album and while you could take some of the songs out of context, it's better to know the story. (And its prescience will amaze you.) Oh, and "brass ring" is success, not marriage. "Grabbing the brass ring" is like going for it and making it big. Like they were five years before this. But from this record back, nothing but winners. Anything off the "Rage For Order" record; you can't miss. Thanks for this, Momma. It was tremendous.
Been a fan since 1985. Love this album! Great request! I've said it before and I'll say it again; bands from the Pacific Northwest hit differently after living there for 4.5 years. I can HEAR how the grey and drizzly weather influenced the music from there. It really creates an extra dynamic to the listening experience. One that I reflect upon fondly. However, I stopped buying their music after 'Dedicated to Chaos' (2011) when Geoff left.
I, too, was a fan since the EP. Those were grand years, the 80s, for QR. And they were my first real lesson that you *can* lose a singer, but you can't lose a guitar player. DeGarmo left and took me with him. Then Tate started acting up and it all went away. For me, this song is the line of demarcation. I have no idea what happened after this. And you're absolutely right about the gloom translating. I started with Mother Love Bone and sucked up everything after.

Glad you enjoyed it, Caine. Apologies again for it being out of order. 💜
@@TheRealMommaOG No problemo.
ANYTHING from Rage for Order…
@@kristianjohnson8787 An all-star at every position.
Such a great underrated album! Always fits the theme of this time of year when everything is dark and cloudy.
"I Will Remember" MTV Unplugged acoustic is amazing.
That whole show was amazing. What a great series that was. Tesla was excellent, too.

Momma OG, it’s time for more Band-Maid. “From Now On” (OMV) is my suggestion. Prepare yourself to be shocked.
Many bangers from Queesnryche... Jet city woman, silent lucidy, empire, and more
Guessing by that you are about 48 years old. Operation mindcrime is the best
Always awesome videos
Walk In the Shadows.....👍
