i did test a a770 against a 3070 and the a770 had a higher 3dmark score so it is capable of doing 3070 performance its just a matter of time for it to get there
I wish it would but I really don't think it is going to happen. It has a lot of silicon, but we haven't seen meaningful bumps in performance for the most optimized titles in around 6 months. We are seeing upticks in 1% lows in those and upticks in dx9 and dx11 titles, but they are having to do it on a case by case basis. There is something busted with the actual hardware structure in addition to the drivers compared to a 3070. I loooove my ARC A770 16gb, especially for the $/performance, but wishing for 3070-3080 performance is a pipe dream. :(
I can't wait for the official WHQL version because, as we know, there are always improvements and improvements in the last stable WHQL version. 🙂

It can surpass also the 3070 and the 3070ti or 6800xt (with future drivers) also can surpass the 3080 and the rx 6900xt (i think is its maximum
