The 2GB to 4GB being a huge jump is not surprising considering 2GB RAM is the minimum requirements for Windows 10 (and the system itself usually uses up more) the game itself fights the system for any available RAM and the result is horrible performance. It would be curious to see how CSGO would play on a Linux system with 2GB of RAM, given that most Linux distros at idle use up 1GB at most (and this can be way less) leaving the rest for the game. You wouldn't gain fps from 8gb to 16gb. If the ram speed is the same on all the sticks you compared then the only factor in performance should be using more than 100% of your ram since that makes your pc use your drive as extra ram thus making performance much worse. Since CS 2 shouldn't make your ram usage anywhere near 100% on 8gb ram you shouldn't be able to see performance increasing when using higher amounts of ram than 8 gb, assuming the ram latency is the same on the 8gbs and 16gbs ram.
If you use integrated graphics, you should be getting more performance. At 8gb, the system effectively has around 6gb ram and 2gb "vram" - the ram that is allocated to the igpu. At 16gb, the system will get a whole 12gb ram, and a decent 4gb of "vram".

My old PC can run FORTNITE and GTA V, but can't run CSGO 2!!! What did you do, Steam?!?
Fornite and gta are heavily optimized games
How turn on graph you have on left side ?
Bro isnt changing the ram he is playing the game normally and changing the fps in a video editing software to look like his ram has changed
This video made me think I can run csgo till I remember it can't run stalker clear sky, A GAME THAT CAME OUT IN 2008
Dude YOU could run csgo at low 60 fps probably but this is cs2, and stalker clear sky is an unootimized game out of the stalker trilogy
RAM doesnt matter a whole lot since cs2 makes the most out of your GPU and CPU for performance but more ram helps still.
GPU?
Im playing with 4gb ram but lag stays... I dont understand...
the 4gb ram is not true ,3 months ago i used a 4gb ram pc and on lowest settings it was BARELY 45 fps , now i have a 16gb ram (3060ti and 5 5500) and it runs max settings 250 fps
It probally is you jeut have a worse system or it's less optimizations
BRO HOW HE STARTED COUNETR STRIKE 2 WITH ONLY 2GB OF RAM WHEN THIS IS INPOSSIBLE
1 years ago? how old cs2..
What graphics were installed?
I think something like a 3060 ti or RX 6650 XT
as shown in the preview, the amount of RAM does not affect the picture; the video card affects the picture.
I've Gtx 1050 ti 2Gb & I5 7gen 3.2 ghz & 8 Gb ram and playing with low-medium settings and still getting fps drops
Should I upgrade my ram to 16 gb?
Okay, i would be the better guy to go to, bc i just got something like that. Its a 1050 4gb i7 7700HQ 2.8ghz and 16gb of ram. If you have an ssd 8gb would be a bare minimum, running off of an hdd 16gb really helps and if you can pay it up its definitely worth it in the long run, depending on your games, if you have 2 slots, me personally I would put a 16gb in one and an 8 gb in the other for 24gb. Bc in the long run i can buy one 16gb stick and save a little bit of money short term. My idea WILL HINDER PERFORMANCE INTENSILY. But 16GB is worth it
Thanks man for your advice
one more question please I've only 8gb and i've four slots I'm using only one slot my motherboard is
baseboard manufacturer: MSI
baseboard product :hm110m pro vd (ms-7996)
Version: 1.0
I went to someone selling rams to buy an another 8gb to reach 16gb he said you have to buy 16gb beacause you cant add double 8gb rams in two slots beacuse your motherboard wont accept and it will be compressed '(pressure)
I've seen my ram slots in the task manager and i noticed it's four slots
He's right? or he just wanna just sell more items? I'm not good in such things@@thefuriouscreator

@@MouadhPalestine you can totally do a 2x8 setup, I am not 100% sure about motherboard but a majority of boards support 2 by 8, make sure to look at your manual to get slot info to get best performance usually slot 1,3 and 2,4
Is nvidia 960, i7 ung 8GB ram works with CS go?
1:03 no mientas que me éxito no creo que ande haci de piola con 4 de ram(Buen video)
which processor??
Whats the processor ?
Fps_max 10, fps_max 100, fps_max 160..... 😂
Shout out to those out there using 8gb ram in 2024
there is no difference after 60fps
thats not how that works bcz in your head you thought the bigger the better menwhile 16gb is performing better than 64
I have 16 Gb Ram intel core i5 and GEFORCE GTX 1050 .
I have only 40 Fps on cs 2 .
What i need to do ?
I think it's the graphics card that's worth the most
What processor did you use for this ?
intel core i9 9300K
4gb ram looks playable, damn!
8gb ram rx 580 ryzen 1300x ?
