Who can say who has a higher historical status among global fans, Kobe or James? I am a Chinese fan. In China, I can only see a lot of media ranking James second.
I was at Kobe’s basketball camp around 2015. The amount of people from China that came was very shocking but at the same time, very nice. It was a realization for me though on how big globally Kobe was.
Kobe is better than Shaq. But not Larry or Magic. Come on dudes. So if you basically have your greatest starting five 1-5. Then Kobe or Tim Duncan after that, pick whoever you want 7-8 🤭 as Bird and LeBron are both small forwards. And to me, MJ clears Kobe further than LeBron clears bird. But if you don't think so then 6 is fine. He's just coming off the bench imo in the GOAT debate. I think 6-8 is perfectly fine.
Kobe is 1 of, if not the most fundamentally sound shooting guard we've seen play since the ABA merger. All former and current NBA players and pro' coaches agree on this. Most members of the media who have covered the game for a long enough time also know this but the data-driven nature of the business forces them to not include him in the All-time Top-5, Mount Rushmore etc. Usage rates, # of season MVP titles, and all of that other stuff cannot overshadow skillsets. Never will
I wonder how’d it be if Bron stayed in Cleveland and turned out like Dirk with at least winning one. He’d have all the stats still and maybe he seen as a bigger legend for Cleveland, since he stuck it through all the years like Kobe did.

basketball players always have the realist top 5 cause they actually played and studied the game sat the highest level... I would take their opinion over these so called ''analysts'' from ESPN ....and the players have spoken there's mj theres kobe and everyone else can fall into line.... My personal is 1: Mj 2: Kobe 3: Magic 4: Bird 5 Shaq ...lebron ain't even top 10 for me , matter of fact I got curry over LeBron all day... LeBron hand picked his super teams and still lost to curry who's super team was organically made...
I would always, always take the player’s opinion when it comes to these type of rankings over any stat geek/nerds. These players know how hard it is to play at that level. The preparation, the skills, all the countless hours they put in to be better than their peers will always have more weight than numbers someone formulated in excel spreadsheets.
Kobe ain’t close to Bron/Kareem and not even in the same realm as MJ. His best trait was shooting the ball and he avged less pts on worse efficiency even in his prime than someone like Bron let alone Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
My favorite player ever and imo the second greatest player ever. If anybody has him at least at the top five, I‘m cool with it, but those saying he ain‘t even top 10 are ridiculous and should reconsider which sport to follow. If you know basketball, you better be able to give Kobe the props he deserves
I don't understand how can anyone with a bit of brain put LeBron above Kawhi, Duncan, KD, Curry, Wade, Dirk, Shaq. And that's without even mentioning Kobe. All of those people are the reason why Lebron didn't win rings. For example, Wade managed to win a ring as a young man with old Shaq. Lebron got a bit older Shaq and didn't do anything. But since everyone is putting lebron over wade for some reason you'd think he would certainly win a ring with Shaq. Especially since he does all the work alone and carries everyone. But he even failed with Wade and Bosh twice. Wade didn't need LeBron to win the first ring. LeBron needed Wade and Bosh. Kd in gsw wiped the floor with LeBron. Kawhi also was better defensively than LeBron, and more skill offensively as well. Duncan beat Lebron on multiple occasions. Curry is the reason Lebron didn't win 3 rings. On Lebrons watch, Curry won 3 rings. On currys watch LeBron won 1. Dirk beat Lebron with Wade and Bosh. In their primes. Shaq everyone says the most dominant player ever. Won 4 rings legit. Lebron won 2 with Wade and Bosh. 3rd won against beat up gsw team. 4th won when nobody played pretty much. It's comparativelly just not equal to Shaq at all in terms of championships. And on top of that they have the same number of rings. And no way in hell is LeBron more dominant than Shaq. Kobe won 3 with Shaq. And 2 without him. Out of those 2, he beat teams that LeBron lost to. And finally then LeBron formed a superteam, and lost to Dirk. How stupid do you have to be to rank such a loser so high because he has numbers that fundamentally don't matter at all. The only ones that do matter, Lebron lacks. You can't even really rank LeBron above Ray Allen, cause he couldn't win in the east while Allen was in Boston. Plus he needed Allen to win a ring for him in Miami. Paul Pierce won same number of rings with Allen as LeBron did. And while Pierce was at his Prime, Lebron could not do much to him. Pierce had to go past his prime in order for Lebron to finally start dominating in the east, when there was nobody left. Lebron ain't better than Giannis or Jokic. You can't possibly tell me that those dudes had better teammates than LeBron so that's why they were able to win. LeBron almost exclusivelly for 10 years had the best teams in the league in the weaker conference. And all those mentioned players didn't even have the luxury of being injury free as LeBron. Dude's been playing for 20 years, and can still do without problems. Most of these guys have playoff wins over Lebron. On top of beating him more in the playoffs than he beat them. And that's players of his generation. And people keep arguing the of all time bs. It's just silly
@@codyeble0713 so you've just pointed out how stupid you are. I've talked about such people. And here you are proving how right I am. Where's your argumentation? Just saying he's the best without anything to back that up means nothing. And you'd have to make a lot of excuses to actually cover everything I mentioned here. But here's one. How the greatest can lose more times to inferior players than him? While he has all the help he can get.
@@vaughnmiller4371 right. I see denial. I pour facts on you exposing LeBron, and instead of accepting facts as they are, you label it as hate. Because how else can you justify him being the best. Other than ignoring all the elephants in the room.
I'd certainly rather have Kobe than LeBron on my roster. As Bryant was a more explosive and clutch scorer, a far better defender, and a more tenacious competitor than probably anyone.
all respect to kobe but i don’t think kobe can be top 3 all time i’m cool with him being top 5 but my top 10 is probably 10-Shaquille-O’Neal 9-Kobe-Bryant 8-Tim-Duncan 7-Bill-Russell 6-Magic-Johnson 5-Larry-Bird 4-Kareem-Abdul-Jabbar 3-LeBron-James 2-Michael-Jordan 1-Wilt-Chamberlain don’t expect anyone to agree especially the fact i have wilt as the goat
Kareem deserves to be one of the greatest and at one time in the early 90s that argument could be made. But the only reason today he’s mentioned is because of his top scorer attribute, longevity and being known for an unstoppable shot. But wilt was better and wilt is the only person I’ve seen block the shot. Kobe, Mike, magic, wilt, dream. This is a team with no weaknesses
Easily kobe in the top 5, I also got him second because of the skill pared with the mentality and accolades. What didn’t Kobe have? Literally had it all as a basketball player.

Love Lebron and Kobe both of course However give Michael Jordan shaq in his prime and get rid of Perdue and Wennington How do they ever lose? just my opinion Also, MJ never played with another player who commanded a double team opposed to the other 2 But all 3 are top 5 generational talents
Let’s get this Kevin durant arguably in my fucking opinion is top 10 7 foot with handles of a 6 foot guard 😂 respect this man and he has Kobe second … who the fuck are these fans to say Kobe ain’t top 5 of all time
I agree with them on Kobe Bryant but they're overrating Shaq A LOT. That guy couldn't even score without someone passing him the ball. And he wasn't even the best big man of the 90s, that was Hakeem. He is the fifth best CENTER of all time. Which makes him a top 20 player of all time. Maybe top 15. But top 5 is just silly.

Who can say who has a higher historical status among global fans, Kobe or James? I am a Chinese fan. In China, I can only see a lot of media ranking James second.
Kobe's greater on a global scale than Lebron
Which is crazy because Kobe did more work for the game of basketball in China than Lebron. Smh
@@queaye1939you can say that again 💯💯💯
I was at Kobe’s basketball camp around 2015. The amount of people from China that came was very shocking but at the same time, very nice. It was a realization for me though on how big globally Kobe was.
The Chinese media used to be on Kobe's jock not sure what changed
Kobe is better than Shaq. But not Larry or Magic. Come on dudes. So if you basically have your greatest starting five 1-5. Then Kobe or Tim Duncan after that, pick whoever you want 7-8 🤭 as Bird and LeBron are both small forwards.
And to me, MJ clears Kobe further than LeBron clears bird. But if you don't think so then 6 is fine. He's just coming off the bench imo in the GOAT debate. I think 6-8 is perfectly fine.
Mj/kobe, oscar, magic,shaq, Kareem
I cant pick between mj and kobe.
Never will

basketball players always have the realist top 5 cause they actually played and studied the game sat the highest level... My personal is 1: Mj 2: Kobe 3: Magic 4: Bird 5 Shaq ...lebron ain't even top 10 for me , matter of fact I got curry over LeBron all day... LeBron hand picked his super teams and still lost to curry who's super team was organically made...
Jordan lebron Kareem Kobe magic shaq Duncan bird hakeem Steph
I would always, always take the player’s opinion when it comes to these type of rankings over any stat geek/nerds. These players know how hard it is to play at that level. The preparation, the skills, all the countless hours they put in to be better than their peers will always have more weight than numbers someone formulated in excel spreadsheets.
Kareem, Lebron, Jordan, Kobe, Duncan. Order can change; however anyone leaving Kareem off doesn’t know basketball.
Kobe ain’t close to Bron/Kareem and not even in the same realm as MJ. His best trait was shooting the ball and he avged less pts on worse efficiency even in his prime than someone like Bron let alone Michael Jeffrey Jordan.

You typed a bunch of bullshit.
Lol LeBron is above everyone, he's #1 talking about Curry KD Kawhi Wade Dirk lol bro stop... Talk about not having a bit of brain hahaha
Due to your 10,000 words thesis, we see the LeBron hate. Therefore you're automatically disqualified to even comment on this topic.
