    Can't believe you are using an adjustable jaw wrench, good way to mess up bolts/nuts. Did not see the new left spring.

    Great video, great mechanic ! Personally I would have drilled out the whole on the plate bigger, to fit over the nut too. Now the weight of the car and the pressure from the Ubolts is on the 2 nuts first, where it should go to the leafs first instead. Will be fine though surely..

    I don't if anyone'll read this but I just subscribed. I own a bone stock Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ which I'm saving up mods for.

    I have a question. I installed the 4.5 inch lift and my rear looks higher than my front end. Is it true I need to drive it for a couple months for it to settle and then it will not look higher than the front ? I replaced my whole front and rear suspension thanks

    I've watched a few of your other videos. Thanks for your thoroughness. I am ordering this kit any minute now. Are you fully satisfied with the rear leaf kit?

    You really glossed over the removal of the front leaf spring bolt. From what I've been seeing, this is the key to the whole project. What did you have to do to get the bolt broken and out of the sleeve?

      I know this is an old question but there's red loctite on there. You HAVE to heat the bolt to burn away the loctite before trying to remove or you will snap it. It's by design.

    How do you know if you got the Dana 35 or Chrysler 8.25 axle?

    • @mattshafer6644
      @mattshafer6644 3 роки тому

      8.25 will have a flat lip at the bottom of the diff and a d35 won't have a flat lip it will be round, also most vehicles from 99 and older where c8.25 and some 99s and all 2000s and up where dana 35s. Also you can measure the axle tubing the 8.25 is bigger than the d35

      @@shanefanon or pull some dakota/durango leaf springs from a dakota/durango. should be ~4.5 inch lift on the rear for cheap from the junkyard. Then, pull some F150 or bronco coils from a ~70ish and you'll get a 4-4.5 in the front.
