Gods, I forgot how cruddy the pedicopter theme sounds. It's like the aural equivalent of indigestion. The pogo theme sounds just plain inane too. And I still haven't forgotten how dumb Alex Kidd looks while using the wizard's cane. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Shame there had to be jumps on that walk!
i cant beleive barely anyone was talking about how the pedicopter "song" made them want to jump out of a window.@@qu1253 that doesnt mean i disagree though.
Alex Kidd and Git go together like bread and butter. You always know it's going to be an especially good episode when it involves everyone's favorite glass cannon. 😂
Been a fan since Creepy Bad Endings #3, you’re the one who got me to love Dynamite Headdy, maybe for your next video see if you can beat Headdy with as few head cases as possible! I’m sure it’s impossible to do it without any but a minimum run would be cool
So, I saw name "Springfield Gorge" and thought, "So, that's where your idea about old sage being Bart came from!". But then I went to maps and saw that actual name of the stage was "Rock Mountain"... Never have I laughted louder at my own stupidity!
If you do this, you manage to unlock Kevlar Alex mode, where he won’t die from losing in rock paper scissors. He’ll still get a heart attack and be sent to the ER until the next game but hey, at least it sent as bad as before, right?
You can actually make it across the lava pit without jumping at 16:34. Run up towards the hole and then quickly crouch once near the edge, while you still have your momentum start immediately punching repeatedly while still in the crouching position. The punching will keep the built up momentum from the running and Alex will hover/glide across the hole
"I'm the kind of guy who sticks to the Shotgun in doom, even when I've amassed an arsenal of different guns" No shame in that, the shotgun quickly becomes my new primary weapon in any DOOM game, hah.
With how Alex Kidd was the first star of the weakest characters in gaming ever, and how he could die to turtles, weasels, and toy planes, I imagine he would also die if he so much touches a slug, snail, caterpillar, worm, or even a butterfly.
4:24 | My mind jumped to the comment I'd left on your Sonic Mania comment, where I'd ranked you based on if you needed to remove the time limit and/or stretch your A presses. If that inspired your ranking system, cool. 13:14 | That's probably why some devs mark their achievements as secret. 17:22 | Actually, given the "You can't punch/kick while unequipping" rule the game set when you demonstrated the items, I thought _the game itself_ would've questioned this ... but since it didn't and you weren't using the item for height, no arguments with me there. 17:59 | yeah, "pogo [aerial] cancel" sounds cooler For some reason, the Ashra fight makes me want to see an RPG-like mod for this game where the RPS boss duels (not the gorilla gamblers) are replaced with RPS elemental damage. Making it so Alex has a lifebar probably wouldn't be necessary, but it would fit the spirit of the mod. Although maybe that's just Puyo Puyo ~n~ _(Specifically, Skeleton-T's special attack)_ and Hyperman 2 talking...
So strange of them to change the goal at the end of the level into a hamburger for western audiences. I mean, it was already a delicious jelly doughnut ;)
Alex: can completely destroy cars with one punch of his bear hand without hurting himself.
Alzo Alex: dies when loses a game of rock paper scissors.
they do say "Will you bet your life?" tho, so they're probably taking blood money
alex is a glass cannon build. you cant convince me otherwise.
@@boomerboy9214 punches cars with ease, dies to a rouge gust of wind.
It's even worse in the original japanese version, he bets the clothes on his back and dies of embarrassment when he loses.

the wizard's cane is just debug mode
I love how the music for the final level is interrupted constantly by the pogo music
This game has an *interesting* relationship with the concept of music.
I had to mute the video any time he used the pedicopter. Holy crap, that "song" is grating.

Well, it WAS one of SEGA's first games...
@@supreme-ss777They had two whole consoles before this game as well as a whole arcade scene.
Jeez, the fact that you could make it THAT far without jumps is still pretty darn impressive, and without needing higher-tier tool abuse even.
Forget the SM64’s ABC, _this_ is the game to save jumps on.

the first weakest character is getting his challenge after so many years

Oh damn, just that pesky final level!
Did you know the last two levels of this game inspired two of the levels in Sonic 2?
I bet Git is still hearing that pogo stick song on loop in his head 🤭

Alternate title: the pogo stick is OP.
How do you switch items without opening the pause menu like that?
I don't, I just edit it out.

one time when i was bored i played this game and got stuck at the last level because i couldn't find the boss
Hah! Beat the notification.
Idk but I think hard mode makes the enemies faster
Wow.
The last level has a pretty annoying song, maybe it would not feel so bad if it didn't restart whenever you equip an item
