- A video describing all the problems with the first Nancy Drew Dossier game.
The little Arglefumph logo animation, at the start of this video, was made by Serge Hanna.

i loved some of the concepts in these games:
-players were rewarded for fully reading letters/clues and remembering details about the case
-dialogue became another puzzle to work through, rather than a boring chore from the other games
-the point system wasn't perfect, but encouraged multiple playthroughs to get a higher score
-selecting how to interact with an object actually leaves a lot of problem solving up to the player
Nancy is insanely talented on the piano, I could listen to it all the time
I loved the dossier games. I hate that there were only 2 of them.
I stopped at the phone call minigame.. Report To Danger
My favorite is the Resorting to Danger
Molly is obviously a superior being if she can change sizes instantly.
15:10 You KNOW she's a culprit if you hear a laugh like THAT coming out of her.
Lol, Eda and Lori are evil twins
Or maybe Eda, Jasmine and Lori are evil triplets.
@@123Yellowberry123 Oh I forgot about Jasmine!
I wonder why they didn't make more of these. They were fun
Lizzzard Breath Agreed. I remember me and my sister playing these for hours on end.
I think it had to do with HER choosing to work on Secrets Can Kill Remastered (which was ultimately a disappointing game) over the third potential Dossier game, and then abandoning the mini-series entirely since it was the recession. I may be wrong though.
I remember reading that they let go of the team who worked on the Dossier games. I can't remember why. It's sad, though, and I wish they did at least make a third game. The premise sounded really cool.
I recall hearing one of HeR interactive's podcasts from this year where they interviewed one of the game designers from the Dossier series....so they're still interviewing them just not continuing the Dossier series 🤣 Also an interesting thing she said in the interview was that apparently the Dossier team had already completed making a large amount of the 3rd Dossier game's content so I have no idea why HeR didn't continue the series or atleast finish the third game
Oh… I played this Dossier and Blue Moon Canyon out of order so I was actually annoyed at Lori for stealing Eda's bit. Guess I got the dates wrong...
no save feature in the game? no wonder the dossier games failed
I never got the ending. I replayed it sooo many times but....nothing.
The thing that infuriates me about this game is the moment where Nancy decides to build a whole ramp. That probably too her hours when she could’ve moved boxes or idk found a different way in. Some of the puzzle solutions in this game make no sense
Is her showing off the jewel the secret ending? I don't think I've ever seen it before
Yep, it's the bonus ending. I think you have to get 300,000 points to see it.
I was thinking will her do these games?? My wish came true.
Jeremy Seeger her?
Jeremy Seeger like her interactive?
Luke randall Could have meant Him, and did a typo. Only time will tell~
Crummy Phoenix apparently Michael is a girl or something XD
Crummy Phoenix probably more likely a typo of he
Would really like to see a video on how you screen record and mic record ur videos
Nice video!
I don't know what a Dossier game is but sweet, new EWW Nancy Drew ^^
Sencilia A Dossier game is basically a cheaper way of pumping out Nancy Drew games. They don't need to render backgrounds, animate character models, or 3D puzzles. While some of these are fun, most get boring after awhile.
But if your referring to why it's called a "dossier" that's because it was an old case Nancy solved, and it's located in a organised folder, AKA a dossier
Ohhhhhh, I see. Thank you :)
Sencilia yep! No prob!
