Saddest thing about this game: the last game that Lani M does Nancy’s voice is where Ned plainly says “I love you, Nancy.”
This is sad because this means no more “Everything Wrong with Nancy Drew” for a while. ☹️
He'll probably do the 2 Nancy Drew Dossier games and maybe the Secret of Shadow Ranch mobile game as well. But yeah, I'll miss this series!

I made Nancy say she loves Ned because of how horrible she's been to him. I can't believe "Uh, I dunno," is an option when they have been together at least three years, based on how many anniversaries he's referenced. I'm slow to say it too but damn girl
Saw a sweater identical to Soren's today at the second hand store, nearly bought to be "sweater twins" with him.
I can't resist adding this one:
When Ned says "I love you," you have the option to either say it back or have Nancy say she doesn't know. 1) Nancy is a horrible girlfriend if you let her be, and 2) the lover's quarrels are starting to get old. Put Ned in a game for real and let them be a couple already! Or else let them break up and put Nancy with either Frank Hardy or Sonny Joon.
You have the option at the end to either forgive Soren or call him a danger to town safety. That's a ridiculous choice!

What's Elisabet doing at the cabin when Nancy sees her and how does she not see Nancy's snowmobile?

Okay, now we get to keep waiting for Midnight in Salem.
Wth does everyone want Nancy with Frank? Give me Joe. He's hilarious and has awesome hair. If Nancy's dumb enough to leave Ned, I'd much rather see her with Joe. Or Dylan from Lost Queen. He was freaking hot, and English! 😍
A point that nobody brings up that always annoys me in this game is how Soren traps Magnus. Nancy has to break through ice to get to Magnus, so Soren left Magnus untied in a cave and then what? Did he bring a bucket of water and spend hours trying to build an ice wall to keep Magnus in? Did he find a large, separate piece of ice and brace it against the cave and hope it would freeze around the edges and attach it to the rest of the wall? How did Soren trap Magnus?!
I think the people writing this game overlooked that.
“Where was this understanding Ned in Captive Curse?” They learned to communicate better. I’ve always seen Nancy and Ned’s relationship as a Nuerodivergent (Nancy) and Nuerotypical (Ned) relationship.
Not saying Nancy is autistic, I’m just an autistic woman who exhibits a ton of similar traits so that is why I see their relationship the way I do.
#80. YES! We need a mystery where Nancy helps save animals, already! Okay, granted, we had her save an orca, a wolf, and a prairie dog colony, but that was back in the teens. It's been how many years now?
How was Nancy able to bring a SWORD (replica or not) through customs?

Gosh the animation in this game was incredible!! The character movements, the snow falling, THE SHIP just beautiful. HER made so much progress…only to slide back down for MID 🙃
Actually, Iceland is the one with greenery, Greenland is the one that's covered in snow and ice. (1:00)
Everything about this game amazed me. The improvement in graphics, better character development, the soundtrack and overall rise in quality compared to the other games. "The Word I Couldn't Keep" seemed almost too good of a song to be in a game. I had such high hopes for herinteractive's future. But, sadly, this is the last everything wrong with Nancy drew we'll see in a while...
Edit: don't get me wrong, spring 2019 is coming! Let's wait and see what happens.

This is one of my favorite games and I tend to value the classics over the newer games. Sea of darkness is also definitively the best of the last 6 games. I mean, its not the hard to be considered the best when you're competition is the shattered medallion... At least the last game with Lani Minella ended on a high note!
Not "definitively" the best. A lot of people like Silent Spy and Thornton Hall. But it's better than Tomb of the Lost Queen and Alibi in Ashes too.

ehh, tomb of the lost queen was kinda dull for me. i hated it the first time I played it because of how awful the new interface was. besides adding the new hint system, I couldn't get over how ugly everything was. plus, I feel like with most of the last 6 games, the introduction isn't as thorough as in previous games and I was a tad bit confused about the plot my first time playing. after replaying it, I just think the game is sort of forgettable and doesn't utilize the setting to its full potential
Okay, then that would Make SoD the best of the last 7 games. How about Alibi in Ashes? Better or worse than this game?

Somehow, I felt like I've been waiting for the new Nancy Drew games "Midnight In Salem" for the past four years. That's SOOOO long
I don't want to sound like a smartass, but it's because it actually has been four years since a Nancy Drew game has been released.

#46 - this also needs a "THIS puzzle" sin.
#33 - Not only that, but another reason he gives for why he doesn't like Magnus is that his eyelashes are too full. Seriously? He doesn't like him because of his eyelashes??
Other possible sins:
-Gunnar says he's locked out of the pub but there isn't even a door there; it's just a staircase you go down into the pub
-Soren says he isn't welcome at the pub but Elisabet says he is welcome there
-Elisabet's note to Gunnar says to make sure to wash the mugs and dishes. If he's working at a pub he shouldn't need to be reminded that the dishes need to be cleaned.
-Nancy puts gas in the snowmobile without removing the cap first
-Alex says "Am I ever not?" when Nancy asks if she's there, even if you've tried to call to her several times previously and she wasn't there
-Nancy notices the footprints by the heater but doesn't notice (or at least doesn't comment on) the blood there
-Dagny's corny pun when Nancy says something seems fishy and Dagny responds that Iceland runs on fish
-Having several chickens in your dorm room has got to be a violation of the housing rules. If not, Emerson is a very weird college. :p Also, I would think the guys in the neighboring dorm rooms would have complained about the noise.
-Soren says that he found the treasure when Nancy actually found it
-If you choose the option to go easy on Soren it says the town starts to warm up to him. So the townspeople start being nice to him after he kidnaps someone and tries to keep the treasure for himself.
-This one really bothers me: You can't buy the cute "I *snowflake* Iceland" T-shirt in the gift shop. I really wanted that shirt!
I think this games sentence is the worst waiting for the next game

Also, with Nancy's arrival, Dagny sounded like she was outside just to wait for Nancy when she was outside to keep watch of the ship. Can she really see the ship from where she stands? I wonder how they got the heater back up and running and how long it must of took them. Where is the hole in the ground where the wires to the heater run through? I am thinking that the scrape on the ship is on the wrong position. How is the dock still safe to walk on? You don't see Elisabet anywhere on the ship when the alarm goes off; Is the thing she checks on the ship? I never understood what she was checking.
Absolute favorite game! Loved the mystery, characters, and music! I even named one of my ferrets Soren from this game! He is albino lol..... too bad the character from MID hadn't come out yet or he would be named after them

130. I thought Magnus’s hands were tied. They are behind his back and he is rubbing his hands together when Nancy and him are talking face to face.
The picture of Magnus in the ending scenes shows him sitting down in the caves, with his hands free.

If Midnight in Salem ever does come out, of which I am doubtful, the #1 thing wrong with it will be no Lani Minella.
Actually there is a pretty good chance midnight in Salem is coming in spring 2019 because on her interactive’s website it says coming soon when you go on midnight in Salem’s page on her interactive (it only said that after they mentioned midnight in Salem was coming in spring 2019)
I know they claim it, but I don't necessarily believe it. The fact that they announced a date more than a year in the future means that they had done virtually no work in the last 3 years, and were starting almost fresh. They're not making the game themselves, they're hiring someone else to do it for them. That means they have no control over it. It may come out, it may not. Either way, it won't be game 33 in this series. This series is over. If Salem ever comes out, it will be Game 1 in a new series whether they call it that or not.
GraemeCree To be fair though, that's kind of what the games need. A soft reboot with a writing team that actually focuses on mystery solving instead of puzzle-thons? I'm down for that.
This game acts like Ned and Nancy haven’t said the L-word to each other yet, but do you remember STFD? When Ned tells Nancy, “Be careful. I love you”? Or when she tells him, “I’ll still love you”?

I found a continuity error not mentioned in the video. When you see the cutscene of Gunnar driving off in his boat, the lighthouse is lit before Nancy solves the lighthouse puzzle to activate it, so right after the scene the lighthouse is dark again.
Nancy not bringing money with her is a definite cliche. I also like how snarky and straightforward people are in this game, those 'minor death/permanent death' poster were my favorite part. Glad you kept up with this until the end, it's been fun! Here's to picking apart Salem next year....... *crosses fingers*

Oh, and if you pick the option that has Ned hang up early, and then call back(even right after), they sound like nothing happened. And it can sound like Ned is being a jerk if Nancy apologizes the first time. And he was one when Nancy talks about driving a little boat; expressing how stupid she was with her claim of driving a ship at her.
