I am a great fan of your videos, especially the "Everything Wrong with Nancy Drew" series! However, as a German native speaker, there are two details I would like to put right, as the game was actually (miraculously) correct: 104. "Des Freiherrs Tochter" reflects an older stage of German, in which the possessor of a genitive construction was always put before the head noun. This is still possible today in archaizing constructions (cf. the title of the famous Andersen fairytale "The Emperor's New Clothes" in German: "Des Kaisers neue Kleider"), but seeing as the picture was titled in 1542, it should actually have been the standard word order at that time. 105. In my ears, both the version with and without the "es" sound more or less correct; however, written German would prefer the version without. This is a very complex case: we have an "impersonal passive" ("it was tried to ..."), in which case we usually use the "es", but ONLY if it takes the first place in the respective sentence. I am guessing that "obwohl" counts as taking the first place (taking into account that the word order is changed in a subordinate clause, anyway), and thus we don't need the "es". Nitpicking, but still interesting. :) Keep up the good work!
I disagree with most of these: - Anja wanted you to find the necklace and was hiding clues for you. She also made the note that said you would be the victim as a way to frame Markus. I believe she hid both the decoder wheels, and that Renate was only inspecting the cuckoo clocks (not hiding the decoder in it) because she found clues that Anja left for us. - I think that Lukas followed through on his promise to help Nancy track down the monster and succeeded. That's why he got kidnapped. - The "flashback" from the start of the game is not real. It's just a visual for what the legend has evolved into. - Renate is a storyteller and feels personally responsible for the death of her sister. I think that explains a decent number of her actions. - Calls with bad reception can suddenly have moments of clarity thanks to satellites shifting positions. - The castle has many guest rooms; the game just doesn't let us explore them. - Raid is strategic and I challenge you to face me off right here right now. - I would have assumed that the figure in the courtyard is the monster, too. I see someone big, and I'm scared, so I assume it's the bad guy. - The book that the pages are ripped out of might have a first chapter that summarizes the legend, then the rest of the book analyzes it. That would explain the length of the book, while we only had pages from the start. Ones I totally agree with: - Where is Lukas' dad??? - Why don't they close the gates??? - How didn't Anja escape from the pit? (Did she break her leg on the way down? If so, how did we fall into it unscathed?) - Why didn't the name Phineas J. Monster stick? - I never noticed that the email was printed before it was made? Lol. - The monster standing on thin air on the second floor is pretty funny. Maybe there was a balcony, but that seems like an odd place for one. Ones you missed: - Karl just leaves a fire and expects you to put it out for him.

Oh my gosh! I never noticed that before, but you are so right! And it's nice to see someone making a reference to that show. I didn't think anyone still watched Hogan's Heroes except for me!
One had a video that got taken down for copyright, so he took the rest down to play it safe. We still don't understand why it was taken down. My guess is because the games had passages from the books, which is still a stupid reason. But good news, Agatha Christie books start entering the public domain next year!
Mean of her? Seriously dude? Must I point out that Anja kidnapped and try to kill an innocent woman just to get back at her ex-boyfriend. Then swore revenge on her just because she was trying to save herself. If someone did that to you, you would probably do the same, I know I would.

I just noticed that every area you see "the monster" appear in the game is listed on the map as "sightings." The hallway and furnace (on the camera) is when it's Lukas and every where else is when it's Anja.
17:51 148. I think Nancy is making an sly adult joke here about Ned or another partner, if I may be vague.
150. The Monster took "I belive I can flyyyy" a little TOO seriously 😂
i miss nancy drew :(
Nancy does know about the monster but Anja doesn’t know she’s s detective so she’s acting like she she doesn’t know about the monster
I love the outtakes
For some reason, I always forget this game exists. I always forget there's something between Japan and Alibi.
Yay! New video!
6:42. True, he *did* get jealous in book 14: The Ivory Charm.
Yay! The new video is finally out. I've checked for this like every two days!
Karl pronounces Fraulein correctly. Fräulein is multiple young ladies, I think
It means Miss/Mrs.
9:40 But they have a Chancellor, which is some kind of Prime Minister
Where is Lukas' father during the entire game? Shouldn't he be monitoring the security cameras?
Maybe he’s patrolling on foot.
@@alannameyers5033 If I was Lucas's Father I would definitely get A restraining order against Anja since She pretty much did try to kill Her own Nephew just for revenge against Markus
Karl looks like sergeant schultz
Oh my gosh! I never noticed that before, but you are so right! And it's nice to see someone making a reference to that show. I didn't think anyone still watched Hogan's Heroes except for me!
@@cassiesmith7214 Yes and sounds like Him too
love this!!! love these games lol but just beat this one for the first time and found it very meh. this is hilarious. great job!
Michael what happened to your Agatha christy play throughs?
One had a video that got taken down for copyright, so he took the rest down to play it safe. We still don't understand why it was taken down. My guess is because the games had passages from the books, which is still a stupid reason. But good news, Agatha Christie books start entering the public domain next year!
@@AGJ117 Sometimes Copyright sucks
Love this series. As soon as Salem comes out make one lol
Is it bad I just realized that the Castle is the same one Savannah was talking about in the previous game? 😅
Mean of her? Seriously dude? Must I point out that Anja kidnapped and try to kill an innocent woman just to get back at her ex-boyfriend. Then swore revenge on her just because she was trying to save herself. If someone did that to you, you would probably do the same, I know I would.
Renata has some big hands 😂😂
126 has a typo. That's a point for this video.
1:14. Sin: This track of music is NOT in the soundtrack.
I always look forward to your videos
Thanks for the video!! I love these!!
I really liked Anja too.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks the Nancy Drew games make ZERO sense. I enjoy watching people play them, but there are so many plot holes and inconsistencies, and the endings are always so anticlimactic.
An internet rabbit hole brought me here. Still processing all this.
im sorry, but he did know that the sad Pinocchio remark was only his opinion, right?
nancy was a savage when anja falls through the trapdoor and screams threats at nancy.
I loved Raid, there is strategy because the cards with the highest value in a color tend to move less far so the lowest card to beat your opponent was best. That stupid purse lined with steel drums though, ugh
4. Yes, it's a random nameless woman, if that much. I think what they're doing here is telling the Legend of the Monster. We should not assume from it that the legend is even true, just that this is the legend.
42 is simply putting the characters feom one story into their groupings tbh. It wasn't that hard to solve 🤷🏻♀️
i actually really enjoyed playing Raid. it should be a real board game
i love these videossss
When saying something in German that starts with "w," it's pronounced as a v. :)
If no one will say what the monster looks like, how can they make merchandise with its likeness?
Kinda like how they made frankensteins monster merch but frankensteins monster doesn't actually look like that at all.
@@minxywaters1767 Yes Frankenstein is The Doctor Who Created The Monster
I like Raid! I think it should be a game in real life
"oh yEAH kfkkkfkfkfkfkfkfkfkf"
I thought Markus was Lukas father?
did you take german
just finished cap. no for
the tradition
German is a whole lot less choking on your tongue than Michael would lead you to believe
Kenzie Stieber oh yeah, it is. We had a foreign exchange student in the town 2 years ago. I asked her to teach me some german words and simple sentences... Pronouncing it was a nightmare, no idea how do german people deal with their language.
@@emmas263 I'm not very good with German or other Foreign Languages
sin 126, How does Nancy recognize the monster at THID distance! typo typo!! im making a video called Everything wrong with everything wrong with nancy drew: the captive curse. sin 1. Spelled ''Thid'' Instead of "This"
I don’t know why they are taking so long to make the next game but one reason could be that some games had wrong facts about the games plot or theme. They are probably making sure that the new game has true facts about the Salem witch trials.
