J11 was always heavier than su27, the chinese asked for the export su27 to come with a reinforced landing gear and airframe so it can take a heavier cas load. I beleive its something like 600kg heavier according to the in game stat files

j11 a is just a copy of su27 thats is built in russia, but the later j11b is armed with chinese home made engine, radar and missile

I heard the reason of J11's extra weight is that it has a unique turbine starter to work on high altitude regions in china
The J-11A is pretty much identical to the SU-27 the Chinese made very minor avionics tweaks that wouldn’t reflect in war thunder. It won’t be until the J-11B that it’ll have Chinese engines, radar, and RAM (doubt that will reflect on the game). Not sure what they’re gonna do with the missiles since by the time the 11B came out active missiles were the norm.

Man.... Apperently the Su27 thats comming is a mix aswell like the F15s that are comming... the Su27 was upgraided with the N001 in like the 1990s apperently to what i have seen anyway.... And fun fact the R27ER was made for the Su27 and the 27R was for the mig29... Su27 was made to be the long range defence fighter while the mig29 was made to be the frontline fighter and alot cheaper.... The R27E/T version was also a 1990s upgrade since they realised the R27ER was far out matched by NATOs AIM120, and they were working on a FOX 3 version of the R27ER but scrapped it since they were making the R77 instead :).... also the export versions of all Russian missiles (Example: R73E) has an extra 5'degrees of lock angle meaning that all aircraft that have export version missiles should be technically better, they exported these since the Soviets already had a better R73 (R73M) in production which has 20'degrees more than the standard R73 :)....

The N001 was the radar designed for and used in the first production variants of the SU-27. Yes, it was upgraded and sometimes replaced over the past 40 years, but the standard N001 is contemporary with the SU-27S that is on the dev server.

in game no differences between r73 n r73e that was even stated when they show mig-29g on dev stream from last patch
@ser43_oldc86 Not quite, I believe it has a different azimuth limit from the N019 in game, other than that it's the same
One _minor_ difference with the J-11 in-game versus the Su-27 is that the J-11 includes extra dielectric panels on the elevons that no Su-27 variant has. This has the effect of _slightly_ preventing the aircraft's RCS from increasing while the elevons are deflected. This likely isn't reflected in WT amd even if it was, it would be useless.

2:30 this is how the Cobra should be performed , first turn of the circle while you have enough energy , not on the 2nd/3rd etc turn when you have already depleted most of your energy.
Also from that sequence it appears Gaijin has messed up R-73 model again , we are back to the spinning top behavior ...

I set a pull down key in my Left Control and pull up in Left Shift and my midle mouse button change controls betwen mouse and realistic so to pull a cobra i just change press control then shift and pull a much easier cobra than this mouse thing

Just ready for premium mig 29 to grind to SU 27. The mig 23 ml is just too outmatched nowadays to be fun. Need like 6 planes to get to SU 27 and it’s a million RP. Not doing that with the 23. So hard to bring yourself to grind when you go from F16C to mig 23 lol
The MiG-23ML in sim is good. Especially when you get matches with a 10.3-11.0 max br. You're top dog in a lot of aspects

There’s still lots of options to talisman some planes in stead of more money on a premium
mig 23 ml is still good option i use it with r24rs and get guaranteed 2 kills every match as long as you know when to unsweep and sweep your wings your good
Just beware that if they put F-4S/MiG-23ML on sale this xmas it probably means there will be new top tier premiums next year when they introduce Fox3's (with tier 9 becoming the new top tier).

Engine should be the same, cause China dismantled Su27 and all the parts to reverse engineering on Su27. The Chinese Missile should be worse but I don't know. Maybe these days Gaijin just tired of creating any new content so they basicly copy past Su27 missile to J11.

@@fat2286 that's the j-15, with the heavier landing gears for carrier operations. Regular j-11 is heavier due to fewer composites.

@@MrNPC There's still the F-16MLU(a MLU of the MLU), Mirage 2000EI & DI plus the F-CK and F-16V still to come so China has a lot of options with the ROC and PRC.
