You just happen to own one of the coolest shred guitars ever made. I had one in high school and played many a metal tune. The booster is a super cool feature they should include more of these days. Also neck thru and a true floyd rose style trem, slightly large frets... just a great metal guitar.
Great playing. And Great guitar. Have a model 4 and love it. HAD a model 2 also. But it's gone. That model 2 pickup was a screamer though...Rockin playing dude...
I bought my 1987 Charvel Model 6 new in 1988 and still have it. It is ranked among my most prized possessions. Congrats - that cherry red paint is spectacular in direct light. My white pearl has yellowed over the years, but it is chalked up to character. Pair this guitar with a Gallien-Kreuger GK250ML and be prepared to change your pants. :)
Beautiful Guitar with A Great Tone. Used to have a white Model 4 about ten years ago. Regret I sold it. These guitars are great to play with a good sustain.
Love the sound :) I wish I could get one myself but it's really hard to find these days. So I ended up getting a USA Jackson Dinky made in early 90's which is nice too. But I hope to find one like yours.

I've had my model 6 since 87, you could say it's part of the family now.

For me it's the best charvel. Mid boost is perfect for heavy sound.
