Dude we just got back from Downiville.. i can't say enough about the town n the trails. Amazing i can't believe I waited this long to go there.. but never late than never. Thanks for the feedback n recommendation. Like u say.. just get out n ride:)
I know it's a lot of editing, but I really like your POV videos. After watching your stuff for 5yrs, I still think your POV are the best out of all the yewtoobers. As for 34t front chainring.... That's a big gear for Tahoe climbing. I ran a 34t oval and it was barely manageable for the Tahoe climbs
Thanks man, I really appreciate that. Definitely a hell of a compliment. As far as the 34t goes, it's been a love hate relationship with that thing. Ultimately, I took it off before doing a pretty big climb up there a few weeks later. My legs would handle it, but by the end of the ride my knees were just not happy. I went back to the 32 oval.
The reason for uphill traffic to have right of way is due to the effort it takes to get going again....but it sucks to break a good flow. Its like having to stop pissing mid stream because a cop turns the corner.
I'm going to be up in Tahoe the week of the 4th. I have a 3 day weekend but will then be teleworking the rest of the week. Thanks for making me aware of the area, doing the shorter loop up the Tahoe Mountain Trail and then down Valley View seems like a manageable after work ride. If you know of any other fun trails without too much climbing please let me know, cant do 2k+ feet climb every day.
My next vid would be a must do if you are in South Lake. In case it's not out by then, look up climbing Fountain Place Road and riding down Armstrong Connector & Corral.
Angora is actually fun to climb also imo, and I typically hate climbing. Not super easy but not too hard and just technical enough to keep it interesting. The Lily Lake Trail at the end should open up anytime now, excited to go up there and check out that rock work.
Really sweet trail system, thanks for sharing. I went to a 34 oval ring and man you would love it, feels like you have another climbing gear and another descending gear.
I do wear the Halo headband because I sweat a ton. I will say it eventually fills up and starts dripping sweat on my glasses. However, I can take it off and wring it out then keep riding. It's way better than when I didn't wear one. I definitely like using it.
i'm new to this channel, i love this outdoor footages in the woods. Subscribed! How do you find these trails, i know you said it was your friend, but is their something like google maps that would show all the trails near by?
#yieldtotheflow 1,000% downhillers should get the right of way. In mountain biking, 95% oh the flow/fun is on the downhill. Sorry high post’rs, you must yield to the flow!
LMAO, no more like my lady only watches people getting murdered or cooking....so unfortunately I get to watch it too. Sounds like you are in the same club.
Dude...you're killing it!!!!! Nice to see you back in business!!!!💯🤘
Thanks bud
Loving the effort put into your edits recently. Makes them super watchable. Keep it up bro.
Thanks bud
Greetings from Australia

Good stuff Rob! I need to get me some Tahoe ridin'!!
So much good stuff up there. Let me know if you need any recommendations.
Great editing and narrating as usual! Keep up the good work man!🤘🏻
Thanks! Will do!

I know when I'm climbing, I'm always looking for an excuse to stop. Hahahahaha
Looking a lot fitter and a 3k climb in that altitude!!!!
Thanks man! Definitely a difference.
Nice edit and storytelling!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Robert. I’m 46. I finally bought a kickr last year. It’s the equalizer. It will take your fitness to the next level!
Right on, I've just been riding a ton. Seems to be working.

Awesome job!! Was just up there, hiking though, and man is it amazing
Definitely great views up there.
@@B1KER Views for days!!
I need to get out there!
It was a fun little ride.

I can see what you are saying about the climb. Totally makes sense. I'll have to look up that trail you mentioned.
I agree 100% about downhill traffic should have the right of way
Amen!!!
#DRA Downhiller Right Away
Right 🤘
A month or less I will be there to ride! Just trying to arrange with clint!
Right on, we'll have to ride together while you're down.
@@B1KER I would love to! Originally it was last month...... soon now though.
Yeah we western Kentucky boys don’t usually get that much climbing
There is a lot of elevation out here.
"We decided to check out the views"..."Wow" Ok continue on. 😂
You wanted to watch 10 minutes of me taking instagrammies?
Really sweet trail system, thanks for sharing. I went to a 34 oval ring and man you would love it, feels like you have another climbing gear and another descending gear.
I ended up taking it off. Was too much for my knees.
Dude you’re looking fit these days
Thanks
Hi, do you wear a headband under your helmet ? How is it. Thanks. Ben from EU Czech Rep.

You can use apps like Trailforks or MTB Project.
Downhiller right of way, #NOBRAKES
Get some 🤘
The mistakes are you. They're endearing..don't try to be perfect...be Robert😃. You have one of the better narrating voices.👍
Thanks bud
Dont beg man biking is good side hobby thats it.
Sounds good.

I'm with ya. Great hashtag too!
Like a road someone would be murdered on. You must watch the same TV shows as my Wife.
LMAO, no more like my lady only watches people getting murdered or cooking....so unfortunately I get to watch it too. Sounds like you are in the same club.
@@B1KER Yep. I always tell her she would NOT be an, "I almost got away with it. "
Man I can't imagine a 34 tooth on the front with climbs like that. I love the 28 tooth for getting up stuff that I would usually give up on.
I ended up bumping back down to a 32t oval. That’s what I was riding yesterday and By the end of the ride I was happy I made the switch.
DON'T STOP THE CUSSING! Makes me feel better for swearing on the trails 🤣
LOL, I'm definitely cussing the same amount. I've just been trying to do it less on video.
Fuck yea!
