Hey Robert, FYI for you. Top of Spooner is a little over 7100'. Lake elevation is about 6200. And that first part of climbing that TRT isn't punchy, its vertical. :)
I used to come out to Tahoe to snowboard. Always loved it out there. Never thought about riding MTB there but I definitely need to add it to the bucket list.
Beautifully shot and narrated Robert. Love those big rock sections, it's like a tech playground. The mix of flow is really cool too. I have yet to get to the west coast, but I will put this place on the list.
Coming over from Spooner is a sneaky beast of a climb. Lots of areas with embedded rocks that just sap the power out of your legs, plus it actually starts at a little over 7k and goes to about 8500'. Early season, like you hit it, is really good, later in the year you ride a few beaches down low :). Have you thought about doing Rose to Toads? Great ride, great people, great scenery and funds go to building and maintaining our trails up here. Keep it up!
@@B1KER It'd be a good personal challenge :). It's not horrible. Leave early in the morning is the best way, it gets pretty warm. There's also lots of drop out trails too. I had to drop early twice. Once right after I broke my pelvis on Corral, and then the next year crashing a hundred yards past the Bench on Spooner, more mental on that one than pain. It's worth it, you can do it :)
Have watched most of your videos. Don’t know how I missed this one. Bruh you’re a good rider. Keep it up. I know the camera does not pick up the terrain. Riding to green sands beach on the Big island of Hawaii this weekend. Nice living in paradise. But no real riding like this video. Aloha from Hawaii!!
Just did this trail, had my wife shuttled us a few times… we stayed about 1/2 mile from Stinger trail in Kingsbury… really fun trail, every time we rode; we found new features… so explore… I had a lot of Fuck yeah! Fuck yeah!!!! Moments and a lot of oh shit i better slow down… cant wait to do it again…
Great to see a new ride video! I was just looking at that trail in Trailforks. You can really tell your fitness and riding skill have reached a new high, Gratz! I wonder if you can RainX a GoPro lens and if it would help with water droplets. 🤔
Rad! Defo a place to ride and enjoy by the looks of it 🤘 Gotta ask though, the flow at the end looks like the Tallboy would've been the one to ride there, but would it have made the chunk higher-up less fun, or even almost not rideable?
Looks like a nice ride. I wish over the edge was still there. Not sure if they ran a shuttle for this or not but we are lacking shuttles in that area now.
@@B1KER I'm usually solo. Earlier in July though I rode the Flume shuttle out of Incline, I've done that the past few years now. I also was able to ride the Van Sickle trail as a shuttle. I parked at stagecoach and rode to the hotel, I was then able to get a ride back to my car without the bike.
Kingsbury Stinger is my favorite downhill trail in Tahoe. Some sections are where old log flumes ran, Very few riders on it most days. Great video.
Thanks man!

Hahahaha not nearly as bad as climbing up that fire road next to Cold Creek.
@@B1KER Agree, that fire road is a bitch which is why you hardly ever see people climbing it.

There is a lot of great riding up there.
Awesome ride, bro! Definitely gonna head out there are some time!
Dude that was sooo good! Great to see some place different! Great scenery as well.
Thanks bud

Tons of great trails in Tahoe!
Wow!! Looked so fun!! Great Flow brother
It was a good time.

I’ve thought about it, but damn it’s a big day!

Great to see you out on the bike enjoying your riding. Keep it up, it’s been too long!
More to come!

Just my favorite UA-camr...Well done Robert
Right on, thanks
Great video! Can't wait to check out Tahoe!
Lots of good stuff up there
Nice man! Looked like a blast

The new one has a coating that is supposed to repel water like you are mentioning.
Sick ride! I did that trail last summer on my Banshee Paradox hardtail 🤙🏼
Sounds like you like pain! :)
Good work! This trail looks really interesting, adding it to the list!
Was a fun ride.
sick video man! loved it!
Right on 🤘
Sweet!!!…I’m heading to Tahoe but I can’t ride momz birthday, gonna check out the trails tho’
It’s a fun one!
I got to get out there! Great vid!
Lots of good stuff there.
Awesome video!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Overcast days in Tahoe = the best riding weather
It was perfect
You’re looking good these days
Thanks buddy

The Tallboy probably would have been fine. Overall that bike is capable. It just beats your body up a little more having less suspension.
Dang that was a good one!
Thanks 🤘
Damn that looked fun!!
It was a good one.
Looks like a nice ride. I wish over the edge was still there. Not sure if they ran a shuttle for this or not but we are lacking shuttles in that area now.
Yeah totally. You could probably leave a rider at the end watching the bikes and have the driver take an Uber back to the car.

"More climby climby......weird!" Should be a sticker or shirt!
Hahaha!
i rode the flume trail from spooner several times many moons ago
I did that once. Flume was pretty but not very challenging/fun.
@@B1KER bike snob lmao
@@B1KER the climb up is challenging especially for a big boi
How are the Versus Tires working out? I just ordered a pair, thanks for the promo code!
They were great. I rode them until I wore them out and wanted to try something else.
What helmet you wearing if you don't mind me asking. It looks comfortable.
That’s the Kali Maya. Super comfortable. Been my favorite helmet for years.
How long was that initial climb?

B1, do u still ride regularly, but just do not record all your rides?
I ride like 6-7 days a week. 3 days road and 4 on MTB.
@@B1KER good for you Robert!! Keep at it. Its always a good day when u release a new video.
Ebike’s allowed in this trail?
Everything is as long as you don’t get caught! Joking aside, I’m not sure. I’m sure you could send Tamba a DM on insta or FB.
Ride bikes get dirty! Love the shirt
Hahaha! 🤘
@@B1KER where can I get one?
Is this a easy shuttle?
I know people shuttle it, we rode it as part of a bigger ride.
You can shuttle just stinger, with a gnarly little climb to get to the trail head.
Credit where credits do my friend, at least you pedal majority, these mtb videos are just dropping in coasting down sending it
The climb is part of the adventure 👍
Tallboy all day long...
I think you are right. I’ll have to go back and give it a shot.
