Glad you were able to come ride our local trails! I think people in our area haven’t really hit you up to ride because we don’t have much to offer despite hosting one of the biggest Mtb events (Seaotter Classic). We hope to some day soon change that though!
Come back and I will show you the rest of the goods. Pipe is running alright, we have more sick trails in Toro. Marks Canyon is the locals choice. Also Airplane aka Harper Canyon Trail is decent tech. Both would recommend for Advanced riders only . Valley View is my favorite but its the next ridge up .
I used to watch your vids and ride thrice a week but life forced me to sell my bike and move to another country. It's been 3 years since I've sat on a saddle but this vid reminds me why I used to ride. It's time to save up for a new mtb. 🥰
I looked at this park (and added a few trails to Trailforks) years ago. I couldn't ride it lately because there was a fire at one point and it was closed due to Covid. Good to see it's back up and running!
Try making your own rice krispies treats. They're easy to make and oh so much better than the commercial ones. For yucks throw some M&Ms into some of them. Thanks for the video!
Just did this ride for the first time 4/24/22. Conditions are perfect. About the skill level required (for Pipeline DH, not the climb): seems to me that if you ride it slow and avoid the optional jumps and alternate lines, then it’s no more than an intermediate level trail; but that level goes way up if you ride it fast and hit the optionals.
Very impressive you were able to ride that fast for your first run! Doing that trail over 100 times on a hardtail forces you to pick the best lines, and you get comfortable with the trail very fast.
Love Pipeline. A few sketchy blind corners/hill crest will get your adrenaline flowing😱. And that long grueling climb will make you wish you were in better shape😆.
Pipeline is a little sketchy but super fun at full throttle! Just don't get caught out on some of those blind corners or you you can end up taking a gnarly fall all the way down to the creek. ...not that I know anything about that. *looks around suspiciously*
That is so awesome that you have run a Spartan Race I have ran five of them and have earned my trifecta. They are so brutal that you feel like you can complicate anything after jumping through fire and crossing the finish line
Dang! First the outsider and now you! These are my hometown trails! Just got back from a deployment and headed home in March for a couple weeks. If you’re ever in the area during that time we should link up!
Such good weather, raining here in Georgia, my wife hates that if I pick something up off ground after dropping it and eating it, lol. Also, traveling, no excuses, life is to short not to. I saw all of Europe at 18 backpacking and we literally slept anywhere, no one cared back in 1989.
Just did this trail for the first time and bcuz of that edge it may be my last time.. I've got alot of respect for your speed and casual commenting next to death. The camera does not to justice for the trechory.
Seen that video you were talking about a few weeks back. Looked like a blast, but man does it look narrow and unforgiving if you make a mistake in some of those areas.
Hey Pete dog, it's actually labeled a "black" trail. The green hes referring to was just for that first little dip before it cuts into the pipeline trail
Brian, I know I’m just a random comment on your video. But I challenge you to be more confident!!! You are a better rider than 70% of us guys watching, take pride in that!
Pipeline is, I think, the most harrowing trail in the Bay Area, especially when you do it for the first time. Steeper than it looks in the video. Some sections are approaching double black, at least by Bay Area standards. Everyone should do it at least once. I'm glad I did, but probably won't be back for a couple years. Also, the climb up is intense. And I like climbing.
how I want summer, I'm tired of cloudy weather and snowdrifts of 2m, and today it started raining knee-deep puddles and we don't have mountains, the nearest mountains are the Ural mountains 1200km from Moscow
@@jaybezmtbnation8500 yeah, and the grade of some of the climb is at 20-30%, so it gets tiring if your chubby like me 🤣. I want to lose 20lbs before I do it again, will make the experience more enjoyable.🙂
Stoked to see you enjoying our trail. We built it nearly 12 years ago and I think it just keeps getting better and better.
Thank you!!
What’s the name of the trails he took?!
@@maseratirick1059 are you asking how to get to the pipeline trail?
@@HaywardFamilybuilding Yes, how do you get to Pipeline?

Toro Park and Fort Ord is what got me started as a kid. Super stoked that you liked it!
Looks like you caught it on an absolutely stunning day! That’s our Wednesday after work ride most of the time, glad you got to enjoy it!

To the End ? Dude, I even watch BKXC reruns. 👍 Beautiful trail smooth flowing.
Views! Great work on remembering your gloves too 😂🤲
Great job dude. We’re hitting that trail this Sunday for the first time. This is our study guide :)

Been MIA for a while but had to stop in when I saw you hit my home turf! (That climb can be a doozy)
Dang! Ridin’ on the edge

You're telling the truth. Great video. Best wishes from Germany
What a stellar piece of trail. Good stuff, BKXC!~
Hell yea I’m glad you rode this trail. There’s only two types of mountain bikers here locally. Ones that ride Pipeline and ones that don’t 😂.
Lol True Ryan!!

"Terminal velocity, okay now that my eyes are watered over" 😂 😂 😂
That looks awesome!!
Nice ride 👍
Awesome trail, awesome ride
i'd ride this trail all day! flow is the way to go!
Just like myself, i've done Sea Otter XC races and a Spartan in Toro Park. My buddies and I will have to try this one out, looks fun! Great video!
i'm super new to biking but this shit is why I started biking.

Exactly!
I wanna go there!!!
Such a beautiful trail.. i'd do that trail 7 days a week
You should check out Trail Peek. The brothers ride and flow this trail so smoothly.

Best trail 👍🏻
Sooooo green. Blue trail by my gauge.

So awesome!!! Great video. Any poison oak issues!
A real hot race track 👍👍👍
Chapters bro, you need chapters. But damn, that place is beautiful! 😍
@BKXC how about a specific video about the L vs M size comparison?
What an awesome trail!!!
Looks a pretty (literally) cool trail.
what a nice trail
Not too far from San Luis Obispo! I'd love to show you around to the new stuff!

espectacular 🤘🤘🤘
Correction: Salinas California. NOT Monterey
How are you liking that Coil shock? I had a DVO Jade X and just swapped it to the 2022 Float X2 on my Ripmo V2.
I live in Central Illinois. It's the flattest land. So no down hills. I still ride. I ride a salsa
Livin' the Life
Good stuff man 🤘🔥
Just curious, the BKXC gloves that you wear in your videos, are you going to sell those ever again?
Bkxc do you Clip in or run flat pedals
Go ride Santa Teresa rocky ridge if you’re down south!
Do you have the Trailfolks or Strava record of this ride?
I see you don’t use a garmin or wahoo or a smartphone on your handlebar to help track where your going/location?
Love these easy flow trails you been doing lately!
are you in Monterey or around Pinnacles?
Was this ride on your new Ibis wheelset?
What brakes do you run?
Some type of SRAMs with the new hs2 rotors. That’s the noise you hear because of the slots. He made a video a few months back putting them on
awesome
Dude what mic do you use? It sounds so good
Hey Brian, love the vid and glad you enjoyed your time down here. I've yet to do pipeline, what did you think? How long would you say the climb was?
Climb is about 45 minutes to an hour it depends on your fitness level
About 4.5 miles of climb and 1800ft of elevation so you better get yourself hydrated

I just did it today
Yeezz!! :)
I love flow!
Did you come through Bakersfield a few days ago?
You are awesome but I miss your opening of your video with the first word being "Friends..."
dodge duck dip dive and dodge
The trail became slighlty more sketchy after a big fire 2 years ago
