Sweet! Great to see that you're generating some interest in this ride among your viewership. Still can't imagine trying to tackle this as your very first proper MTB outing.
All DESPITE the fact that everyone is telling me I pronounced "Corral" wrong. I'm sticking to my guns on this one EVEN though there's not ocean in Lake Tahoe and there's definitely not any Coral.
Yea it definitely gave me a run for my money the first time I went there. But it's such a great example of the different types of terrains you'll experience when riding. Can't wait to go back.
HAHAHA! You make an amazing point. You kinda just blew my mind with that one. I've always just pronounced it "Coral." But I also thought the other trail was called "Incest" trail. So maybe I'm just not right in the head. 😂
It was great revisiting it! I forgot how fun that trail was. I’ll definitely be planning more Tahoe rides in the coming months. It’s too damned hot in Sac anyway!
You know what. I've pretty much stopped using Strava at this point. But it's pretty easy if you look it up on Trailforks. There is a parking lot at the bottom Corral. It's a pretty solid climb up fountain place road which will get you to the entrance of Armstrong. Then it's pretty much a straight shot down from there. There's good signage and usually plenty of people out there doing the same route!
Hi, just wanted to ask how many minutes approximately to climb up to Armstrong? I’ve been there before but we shuttled. I looked at Trailforks it’s around 4 miles but i remember it gets steeper. Planning to ride solo. Thanks!

Well. We all know they came to watch you make a fart joke. 😂
Love this video. The trails look challenging in a fun way!
Definitely a good technical challenge. Tahoe has SO much to offer!
Cool trails and great commentary!

That would be one hell of a challenge as a first trail! It did look like a crazy good time now. Great footage buddy

LOL I do that all the time "this looks like the trail..oh wait..."
Yea. Never ceases to amaze me how many times I take a wrong turn or go the wrong way. "If you're not getting lost it's not a proper adventure!" 😂
Great riding Joe! I'll have to add that to my list of trails to ride in Tahoe. Man I need to get up there. Can this be shuttled? Asking for a friend.
Yes! Easy to shuttle. You'll see at the end of the vid we do that. I made Matt earn it with an early climb though!
@@CaliradoKid My bad. I did watch the entire vid, but apparently comprehension is not my strong suit.
Coral like the reef or Corral like the western 🤣😉.

No reefs in Tahoe..hehe.
Great review of the trails. That was my first DH trail as well way back about 15 yrs ago. It's changed a ton since then. Have to get back up there.

@@toddeveritt700 the only reef in Tahoe is of the plant kind 🤪 🌿
Enjoyed the video! I want to do this ride Thursday. Do you have a Strava or Trailforks route?

Great thank you! Looking forward to it!
You need to hit Tyrolean next, I think its the best trail in the Tahoe area (Can be shuttled!!!!!)
Oh man! I haven't even heard of that! I'm gonna have to check it out!
Rocks???! Those are freakin boulders!!!!
They're definitely bigger than your average rock!

It’s not TOO bad. There’s a couple spots to break if need be but I’d say 20-30 mins.
