Life Without You by Stevie Ray Vaughan is INCREDIBLE! What do you think?
Best SRV song that he sings in
I really enjoyed this song wholeheartedly.
SRV, greatest guitarist of all time ,hands down ~B.B. king
Has to be one of my top 3 pic's in live performances.
I really enjoyed this performance!
He was the GOAT. What a performance! We can all stand to learn something from this mere moment in time. RIP, SRV. Thanks for the music! ✌🏻❤️from Texas
Break a string, change guitars, change all the settings on the amps and pedals, and never miss a beat. How amazing Stevie was. True professional....
Thank you for sharing.
Stevie live is always a revelation - he is truly the Magic Man. RIP
Simply amazing!
This performance transcends time. The Message is eternal. Though it was based around Apartheid in South Africa "The Mother Country, down South," it applies to everyone everywhere. SRV not only had amazing talent on his instrument, he had an amazing heart and wanted people to be better. Not just for themselves, but for each other and he LIVED that message. Making himself better by beating drug and alcohol addiction, and making himself better for us all by being even BETTER on stage for it. We lost an absolute HERO when that helicopter crashed.
Beautiful comment about a beautiful song. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏿
Sadly, too many great artists have been taken away from us far too early.
I agree.
Can't help myself, every time I view this song I get weepy. He always took the opportunity during this song to advocate for brotherly and sisterly love. To take care of ourselves so we'll be able to care of each other. To stay away from drugs cause "that stuff will kill you". I believe he was a beautiful soul who really cared. Taken from this world that so badly needed people like him. Wish his clones could have been planted all over the planet. So grateful to have his music and images. Miss you and love you, Stevie Ray. ☮️ to all
@@claireburling8547 Such a beautiful comment. Thank you for sharing.
People didn’t catch the point when he broke his tooth while playing with his mouth , he looks at the roadie and say “ broke my tooth” that’s why he kept looking down at the same spot.. great song, great reaction ❤❤❤
Beautiful song and thank you for the compliment!
I was at Stevie Ray Vaughn's last concert the night his helicopter crashed after the show at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin August 26th 1990. The next day was one of the saddest days of my life. The lineup was Eric Clapton, SRV, Robert Cray and Buddy Guy. RIP SRV!
That's really sad to hear, thank you for sharing. RIP Stevie.
I was lucky enough to be at this show and many other Stevie Ray Vaughan shows that song is about a very good friend of his that passed away. I miss him so much he would have been 69 today
Written for his friend & guitar tech Charley Wirz upon his passing. A eulogy for his friend. The white guitar to which he switches is named Charley & played whenever he performs this song.
Thank you for sharing.
I listened to this twice. That was pure talent and beautiful!
Thanks for reacting to this one!
Totally agree, just beautiful. Thank you for watching.
Can’t go wrong with Stevie Ray Vaughan, listen to anything live from the El Macombo, it is all fantastic!, especially “Texas flood”.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Stevie is INCREDIBLE! His precise cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" is proof of his greatness.
You'll enjoy his "Pride and Joy" as well. One of the few concert videos I bothered to purchase is 'Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble - Live From Texas'.
I'll have to check it. Thank you.
"Riviera Paradise" is very jazzy and all smooth like.
"Texas Flood" (live at El Mocambo) is a powerful blues song
So many SRV songs to choose from, so little time ;)
I truly enjoyed this song! Thank you so much for the suggestions.
Stevie didn't play music. Stevie was music.
Just awesome!
Stevie wrote this song for his best friend Charlie who passed away from a heart attack
Thanks for sharing.
@@CC2Cents_ He built the guitar that Stevie was using is that song.
@@markdepalo2501 that's really wonderful.
Thanks for this reaction! On$e of my favorites. I believe the online lyrics have somehow gotten away from
the original. He sings it differently in this spot as well, but originally he sang, “…sudden death sinks in, every minute, as the years go passing by, by, bye bye…” His guitar screams with grief for loss of his friend. Stunning. Please do more Stevie Ray and Double Trouble!!
Thank you for the backstory and for the request.
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 THE goat of all goats
**Texas Flood at El Macambo**
**Voodoo Child at Starwood Theater in Nashville**
*Leave My Girl Alone at Austin City Limits 1989**
Awesome. Thank you for the suggestions.
I saw Steve twice in south Texas I can still feel his music alive truth connection between the guitar and his soul. RIP Stevie
I really enjoyed this song. RIP Stevie
Take you're place amongst the other angels. His playing was out of this world.
Beautiful comment. I really enjoyed this song.
One of the greatest of Stevie's compositions. He wrote it for a dear friend of his named Charley Wirz. In fact, the white guitar that Stevie switched to during the song is one Charley made for Stevie.
I can watch this video a thousand times “already did” it just sends your soul off to another place, and you don’t want to come back. Miss you SRV
Such a wonderful comment.
Amazing. Absolutely the best
Yes indeed!
The person he is talking about in the song who's name escapes right me now , is the one who designed / made the guitar for him and had passed away unexpectedly . I don't think you noticed but he changed guitars at the beginning , notice the brown colored guitar he started out with and then he switched over to the white colored guitar and didn't miss a beat and he also lost a tooth after playing with his teeth . The message he had is something very much needed today as much as it was in 1985 for all of us to love each other like our selves . Great reaction , glad you enjoyed it .
Now that you say it, I remember when the guy came on stage. I agree, the message is so needed. This was a beautiful song, thank you again for the request.
Stevie wrote after the untimely death of his great friend and mentor Charley Wirz.
I saw Stevie in Seattle in 1985 same year as this performance and it was an amazing show, a lot of things in my life during that time is a blur because of all the partying booz and other stuff but I can tell you exactly what I was doing when I heard the news come over the radio about Stevie’s passing I was taking my sister to a Dr appointment. RIP SRV gone but not forgotten.
I bet it was an amazing show. I really enjoyed this song. Thank you for sharing. RIP
Stevie's musical skills are legendary.
I really appreciate that you listen to the whole song and then react. Far too many reactors interrupt every 30 seconds or so. In my opinion you can't do that and claim to appreciate the music, you're just using the music as an excuse to here yourself speak. Kudos to you and for what it's worth you have a new subscriber.
Thank you so much, I appreciate you!
Luckily enough I was able to see Stevie Ray quite a few times this was one of the shows I was at so many great shows at the Capitol theater in rock and roll in New Jersey
This was awesome! Thank you for sharing.
Love her reaction, just watching along, then looks at the camera and her expression says, wow
Thank you.
It's great to see your lovely smile again.
Yeah this song was written about his best friend Charlie, who helped Stevie throughout his music career and in the end was one one who built the White guitar he's playing.
I may have my story wrong here but I think Charlie also ran the music shop that that Stevie frequented was a teen and eventually that's where he got Number 1(the brown guitar he started the show with.
Again glad to see you reacting again😊😊
Thank you so much for the backstory and for the compliment!
Rick you're close. Charlie wasn't his best friend. He was a good bit older so he was a a mentor. Stevie's best friend was bassist Tommy Shannon . Number One was originally owned by Christopher Cross and Stevie found the guitar in a shop owned by Ray Hennig. The shop was called Heart of Texas in Austin and Stevie got it in 1973. He used to go to the shop and stay for hours and play different guitars. Ray would close up and buy Stevie a meal. After Stevie became well known, Ray would lock the store at closing and Stevie would hang out. Ray would tell Stevie He wanted some country music after hours of rock and blues so Stevie threw in some country. There's an interview out there with Ray. It's great and a good book written in 2019 called Texas Flood which is good.
Just more proof he's the GOAT! Seemless guitar change due to string break, words to inspire, not to mention being able to speak/sing thru his guitars!
Sorely missed... he joined the GOATS club of those dying way too soon! Jimi, SRV, Randy Rhoads... but will Never be forgotten!!!
Awesome reaction to a beautiful song 💯🔥...would love to see you react to Texas Flood live at El Mocambo. Another Classic song from him. Happy New year to you from New Zealand!!
Happy New Year to you too. Thank you for the request.
@@CC2Cents_
Really, that performance (TEXAS FLOOD LIVE AT THE EL MACOMBO)
is sort of a right of passage for anyone trying to clue into SRV.
VOODOO CHILD live from Stevie Ray Vaughan (all perfomances i've heard from him are different in innovation, but all honor Hendrix respectfully) should be heard as well.
Thanks for this reaction - i loved it -
@@Blue-qr7qe thank you so much for the suggestions. You're welcome and thank you for watching.

Genuinely, my pleasure -
you can play with the one hand on the neck by using a finger like your little finger while using upper fingers for the notes
Thank you for sharing
It was about a friend of ours named Charlie. He made the guitar he's playin' the guitar's name is Charlie. ❤❤
He's so Smooth most people never see him break the string, swap the guitar, tune in the middle of his performance, then break his tooth and never miss a beat !
So smooth!
I was in the audience that night. He was an incredible showman and musician.
I really enjoyed this song! Thank you for sharing.
SRV is THE G.O.A.T
I truly enjoyed this song.
That white guitar now is worth $400,000. It's my favorite song by the goat!
That is cool! This song is 10/10 IMO.
The guy who built that built his white guitar Charlie wurtz ,that's who he was singing about, and thank you!
Thank you for sharing.
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your reaction. You really dug deep to find the core of the song’s meaning. SRV wrote this for his close friend Charley Wirtz - who had died of a heart attack. The white guitar that SRV was playing was nicknamed “Charley” in honor of his friend. You’re lovely by the way. Keep best care and all the best from Texas.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your comment.
The date; Monday August 27th 1990 12:50am
The place; Alpine Valley Music Theater and Ski Resort East Troy, Wisconsin
The event; Outdoor concert featuring Stevie Ray and Eric Clapton
The mode of transportation; Bell 206B Helicopter
The weather; Thick Fog
The pilot lifted off the ground and immediately proceeded forward right into the side of a ski hill. That was the moment Stevie Ray Vaughan left us.
RIP 🙏🏿
Mary Had a Little Lamb, Lenny, Little Wing, Tin Pan Alley... pretty much anything SRV.
Thank you for the suggestions.
Oh GOD now your on SRV ,I KNOW I LIKE YOUR TASTE,I ALSO MEANT TO ASK DID YOU EVER HEAR AL GREENS VERSION OF BEE GEES HOW CAN YOU MEND A BROKEN HEART? ITS DIFFERENT BUT WONDERFUL!
I love AL Green's version.
Nice reaction young lady
Thank you kindly!
You should check out Marvin Gaye who (like SRV) died young. Wonderful composer & singer. What's Going On is one title that comes to mind ... he had many.
He was a incredible man. Darn helicopters.
So sad.
Dude dressed as well as he played, the gun slinging guitar look is straight 🔥
Great song and comment!
Nice reaction. 🎉
Thank you kindly
You mentioned that he stopped playing with one hand but you continue he’s to hear a guitar. I assume you are referring to when he was adjusting his amp. Playing with a left hand alone, for a right handed guitar player, is done in occasion by guitarists. Angus Young for instance does it from time to time. They use hammer ons and pull offs.
This performance was awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I love this song...this version in particular....he is so mesmerising, beautiful lyrics...sadly prophetic & the line from it Thankyou for all the love you passed our way is on his grave 😕
Adore his voice as much as his guitar magic ...cudv been as big as Elvis...the only 2 that seemed to transcend whilst performing live yet very humble...as Stevie shows in his little speech...sadly his life was cut short...so much creative promise, lucky we have the videos...thankyou for uploading ❣🙏🇬🇧
Really nice comment. You're welcome and thank you for watching.
He was 30 years old here and he was waisted. He got clean the next year and remained sober for the rest of his life until he died in a helicopter crash. He wrote this song for his friend Charlie who created the guitar he was playing. He could play the guitar with 1 hand (the left one). I am a huge Stevie Ray fan and this is one of my favorites. He gave a similar speech during the song for the rest of his life. He is the guitar goat, but Stevie hated when people called him that. He was the nicest person I’ve ever met and a beautiful man.
I really enjoyed this song. Such a wonderful comment, thank you for sharing. RIP
@@CC2Cents_ after he got sober, his guitar playing and songwriting got much, much better. You should check out Look At Little Sister from his live performance at Austin City Limits in 89.
Thank you for the suggestion.
When you see Stevie stop with his right hand he is a till manipulating the strings on the guitar’s neck with his left hand that’s why it seems like the guitar is still playing after he “stops”., the sound comes from both ends of the guitar.
Thank you.
You’re welcome! By the way love your reaction to this vide, very genuine!
Thank you so much.
Wow ❤
Really nice song!
@@CC2Cents_ I agree 💯
He even says to the techs I lost my tooth, you can read his lips
Good reaction👊
Thank you so much!
Song reminds me of SRV
I like your style of reaction, I can’t stand when people keep interrupting in a song.
Thank you.
Totally agree...it's a turn-off when they keep stopping to comment, I think it ruins the mood...it's best to wait to the end of the song, before commenting.
Lost a tooth playing that one lol
Thanks for your words I just lost my grandfather and grandmother with in a week as a gay man they were my only support now they have there wings
You are very welcome and I'm so sorry for your loss 🙏🏿. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
rip :(
RIP
The last minute of the song he was looking for his tooth he lost will playing with his teeth
5 years after this night he was gone..........
That's so sad. RIP
Did you notice guitar change in the beginning?
Amazing!
Why do we keep losing these good people?
Nope the guy who built that white guitar but your right could of been about any loved one!
Oh he broke his tooth, look back you'll see him looking for it😊
If you listen to TEXAS FLOOD YOU HAVE TO PUT IN TEXAS FLOOD CELEBRATION.PRESIDENTIAL INVITATION.
Doll, watch Mary had a little lamb Austin Texas.
Thank you for the suggestion.
He keeps looking at the ground after he plays with His teeth because he pulled out one of his teeth. And he keeps trying too look for it.
Okay, thank you.
Stevie also broke a tooth in this video.
Thank you for sharing.
Stevie lost his tooth during this song..
Effortless guitar change.
For sure.
Stevie lost a tooth with his guitar tricks!!!
And the tooth fairy left a guitar pick under his pillow later that night.
No emotional response what so ever
Please. Get help I've never seen someone so dead inside the
Thank you for watching. GOD Bless You 🙏🏿
