Honestly the optical illusion bridge fits perfectly. Because a futuristic city having a key piece of infrastructure double as an art piece is pretty accurate.
15:47 I've never been more proud to be an Aussie!! I wonder if you could get the Sydney Opera House in there somehow too? Also if you didn't know - the pylons at each end do nothing for the structural integrity of the bridge... They don't carry any weight, and were only added because people thought it "looked" too weak!

This is a huge architect move, Matt. Engineers would build on flat land and would only chop down the amount of trees that is needed, not much over. You are also praising it because of the view you get and how good everything looks.
It's an engineered view instead of a natural architecture one. Am architect would try something stupid like trying to integrate with nature. An engineer would demolish everything, then landfill it to the specific requirements.
I remember watching a streamer named RTGame build a city in this game using literally only one road. No cross sections, no shortcuts, and no highways. (Besides the starting highway). He eventually added Blimp Depots to the city and it surprisingly prospered.
When you build over trees, the game still keeps the trees. So, when you build a building over a tree, the tree goes away, but if you were to destroy the building, the tree will return. Removing trees prior to building will help frames in the long run as it is less items to render, even when you can't even see the trees.
As soon as you mentioned Biffa I had a sudden desire to see you make a city like this with all its..... unique engineer features and then hand over him to traffic fix. And maybe you in turn then taking one of his to have fun with. Just. The chaos.
the Sydney Bridge is based off the one of the Gateshead - Newcastle bridges (Great North Run always has it along the course), being a southerner its okay if you didn't know that 😂, The North remembers!
