- Engitopia returns in Cities Skylines (City Skyline) as I perfect The Wedge by making it a complete circular city in CS! I basically make a circular version of the dystopian city called NEOM's The Line in Cities Skylines!

Add another circle line & an actual line sandwiched between them & I’m sure it would be structurally sound enough to defend against a Tsunami.

So the line became the wedge, which evolved into this(the ball?) Two suggestions, maybe two ball cities and a line forming the strongest shape. Also maybe Timberborn version of this would be awesome and interesting.

Yes ,this is what engineer do . We don't follow/ copy the concept of The Line blindly like an architect, we make our own modifications to it , the engineering way . This is exacly why I have subscribed to RCE (Matt) for !.
Engineers don’t build The Line as a matter of principle.

Having worked in various fields of construction for most of my life, my favorite part of watching these videos is imagining what the projects to actually build Matt's ludicrous designs would be like. The sheer level work he does with the landscaping tool gets the Earthmover in me giddy.

I'm no engineer, but I think a suspended circular park in the middle of the spiral would be cool af. It would give people a reason to actually use the spiral 😂 Or is this idea too architecturey?
What would be cool is a soccer stadium in the middle of that. Everyone would be able to watch the game from their house with binoculars!

Once RCE has finished with Engitopia, I would love to see Biffa try and make this monstrosity (sorry, I meant masterpiece) work.
I have an idea for a next video, a city that goes underground with a structure like the dante's inferno. All the circles that goes lower and lower, obviously the last circle shoud be for rhe architects
You should slope up around the the outside of the city and plant trees for terrain stability to prevent erosion.

Reminds me of Belo Horizonte in Brazil (as much as I remember it from 10 years ago when I was there). It's mostly surrounded by mountains and built into the slopes, so the views were kind of similar. No spiral in the middle though, they still have space to improve.

if you have moveit mod use ctrl + H on the node to make it match the height of the other nodes. also the hump at 10:39 seems to be more than one node so you will have to keep lowering the height. the weird glitching might be because the pillars on top of the quay/raised terrain.
there's a roundabout mod that helps you build things in a circle.
one change you could make is to move the road to be on the river bank. this will prevent the canyon. you can also move the power lines down there too.
Just wait until they add an update that would allow you to make FLOATING ISLANDS that would be so cool!
Imagine if the spiral was made into circle labyrinth, the amount of traffic in the spiral would look amazing

you can simulate tubing up a river when you've made terrain that blocks it, by adding water pumps on one side and poop outlets the other

Fun fact: Sweden, Taiwan, and Iran all have underground airbases IRL. And probably the US, China and Russia do too but they don’t advertise it.
I've got an idea (I know what you're thinking: "He's got an idea again! Run for the hills!" but bear with me for a moment)... so, like, make the circle as you did, right... but make two (nudge nudge wink wink) this time: one is like the "wedge-pokébal" - a funnel or a hopper-shaped thing (like an open-pit mine, kinda)... and the other one is like a wedding cake - opposite to the funnel, basically (but the same exact dimensions and layout, though)... and then like have the two cities compete or whatever... I know, it's a really stupid idea (and you won't read this comment, anyway, either, or do the idea - but if you do, no need to credit me or anything, 'kay?)
Regarding the Stonehenge tunnel: I was also on the team who worked on the design! And HS2. And a few others. I'm basically partially responsible for messing up half of English countryside and heritage😅

theres little to no water entering the centre of the pokeball, maybe make a deeper channel of water through that section to get more water and probably add flood walls around the poocano and poonima canal

I think the line still has a place in this city. I reckon if you build it from the circle but off to the side and then build a circle on the other side, this can be a very efficient design.

You know, RCE's ambivalence for architects is always funny to hear. He brings them up so much as if he hates them. But he also acts like an architect in his videos pretty frequently. Anyone else ever get mixed signals about this?
It would have been best if you kept the wedge design and simply duplicated it to make a full circle. That ridiculous spiral road in the center should have been a small island with a resort or stadium if possible.

There is a mod called Roundabout builder (or something like that). Very handy when you want to make giant circles and obviously, normal roundabouts.

With me, I could never run Cities: Skylines without it being rather laggy. So, I do wacky things with other games. An example being my 2.5 million city (with a huge cemetery the size of the city itself) in Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile. (Yes I do play games that old).
So this circular layout makes me wonder...
Would it be possible for such a skilled and talented civil engineer to build something like Midgar, from FFVII?
